Step Two Transferring Text to a Macintosh ” Turn on the Macintosh ” Start up your word processing application and open a new file. ” Unplug the cable from the Macintosh keyboard 2 and plug it into the AlphaSmart. ” Press the Send key on the AlphaSmart. Your text will appear on the Macintosh screen. 1 AlphaSmart does not work with older, non-ADB based Macs, including the Mac 128, Mac 512, Mac 512E, and Mac Plus.
