Operation is subject to the following conditions: • This device may not cause harmful interference. • This device must accept any interference that may be received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. STEERING WHEEL LOCK — IF EQUIPPED Your vehicle may be equipped with a passive steering wheel lock. This lock prevents steering the vehicle with- out the ignition key. If the steering wheel is moved no more than 1/2 turn in either direction and the key is not in the ignition switch, the steering wheel will lock.

The vehicle may not be able to receive the registered ID code from the key. This means the engine will not start even when the registered key is turned to the START position: • When the key comes into contact with a metallic or magnetic object. • When the key comes into contact with another immobilizing key, or with some other transponder. In case like these, the theft-alarm indicator (located in the instrument cluster) will blink after 10 seconds. The theft-alarm indicator will flash for approximately 30 seconds and then go off. Remove the above object from the key and turn the key back to the ACC or LOCK position. Then try again to start the engine.

You can insert the double sided keys into the locks with either side up. The dealer that sold you your new vehicle has the key code numbers for your vehicle locks. These numbers can be used to order duplicate keys from your dealer. Ask your dealer for these numbers and keep them in a safe place. Ignition Key Removal The shift lever must be in PARK. Turn the key to the OFF position, then the LOCK position. Remove the key. The Sentry Key Immobilizer System does not need to be armed or activated. Operation of the system is automatic regardless of whether or not the vehicle is locked or unlocked.
