  • Ajax fingerprinting for Web 2.0 Applications
  • Fingerprinting is an age old concept and one that adds great value to assessment methodologies. There are several tools available for fingerprinting operating systems (nmap), Web servers (httprint), devices, etc. Each one of these tools uses a different method – inspecting the TCP stack, ICMP responses, HTTP responses. With this evolution of Web 2.0 applications that use Ajax extensively, it is important to fingerprint Ajax tools, framework or library used by a particular web site or a page. This paper describes the method of doing Ajax fingerprinting with a simple prototype serving as an example. Ajax fingerprinting can help in deriving the following benefits: • Vulnerability detection – Knowledge of the framework on which a web application is running, allows the mapping of publicly known vulnerabilities found for that particular framework. Example – DWR client side vulnerability • Architecture enumeration – On the basis of derived information from fingerprinting it is possible to guess application architecture and inner working of a system. Example – Atlas (.NET application framework), DWR (Servelet/JavaScript combo) • Assessment methodology – Derived information from the fingerprinting phase can help in defining future assessment path and vulnerability detection methods. Example – Deciding on JavaScript-scanning Download pdf Ajax fingerprinting for Web 2.0 Applications
  • SAP Ebook: The Appointment Calendar (BC-SRV-GBT) Tutorial
  • The appointment calendar allows you to organize your appointments [Page 7] and to find out when other employees have appointments. The appointments are managed centrally and can be taken into consideration when appointments are planned in your enterprise. Integration The appointment calendar is included in various SAP applications, for example, the processing of sales orders or working with activities in Customer Relationship Management. The appointment calendar is also available as an independent application. The maintenance of your appointments is independent of the application you are in. This means that appointments that you created for sales orders are also displayed in your activities view and vice versa. Features The appointment calendar supports you in your appointment planning with the following functions: • You can switch between a daily, weekly or monthly view when displaying your appointments. • You can work with individual appointments, group appointments and periodic appointments. You can create a detailed description for each appointment. • A search function supports you when searching for times without appointments for one or more users. • Appointments can block a time period or just reserve it (all-day event). • All employees involved in a group appointment are notified automatically when the appointment is created and changed. • A substitute concept enables each user to assign authorizations for the display and maintenance of their appointments to other employees. • Various time zone functions support you when you are planning appointments in different time zones. • CentOS 4 Tutorial Ebook Sample
  • One of the joys of open source is that developers can take software apart and rebuild it in their own image. In this case, a developer community has taken Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, reworked it and released it for free under the GPL as CentOS. But is it a worthwhile alternative to its commercially-available parent? On first inspection, you would struggle to find any real difference between CentOS and RHEL. Both are aimed primarily at (surprise!) the enterprise and they share the same source. Apart from a few tweaks to the line-up, CentOS contains all the free software available with RHEL. • Web 2.0 Testing
  • Websites have changed significantly in the Web 2.0 world. The youtube generation has quite different expectations about websites in general. For starters, websites with plain HTML forms and smartly laid text are passé, and are being replaced by websites full of dynamic content: Google Maps, Gap’s highly interactive website and Nike’s all new Flash website are all examples of the new generation of websites. Not only are the sites getting richer – more rich media, video etc. – they enable users to do a lot more. Companies like Timberland, Ikea, Home Depot, Sherwin Williams, have created websites that offer sophisticated applications that allow users to create-a-custom-product or try-before-you-buy. A Web 2.0 website may feature any or all of a number of the following techniques: Rich Internet application techniques, optionally Ajax and Flash based Syndication and aggregation of data in RSS/Atom Extensive use of folksonomies (as tags or tag clouds) REST or XML Web service APIs Semantically valid XHTML markup and/or the use of Micro formats Clean and meaningful URLs Use of wikis Web log publishing Mashups Add these new technologies to the fact that the web browser market is no longer dominated by Microsoft Internet Explorer. Browsers like Firefox, Opera, Netscape and AOL are increasingly emerging as significant competitors. Download pdf Web 2.0 Testing

  • Building the largest empire that ever existed Caesar 3 is not the first city builder (and the titles strengthen this statement) but it was the first to provide the necessary means for building and ruling over the Roman cities.
