  • How to use PDFlib products with PHP
  • This document explains various possibilities for successfully deploying PDFlib as a PHP extension. The generic term PDFlib is used to designate one of the following distinct products: > PDFlib Lite, the open-source subset of PDFlib > The commercial PDFlib product > PDFlib+PDI, a commercial superset of PDFlib which also contains the PDF Import Library (PDI) > PDFlib Personalization Server (PPS), a superset of PDFlib+PDI with advanced block filling features for personalizing PDF documents. Notes for PDFlib TET (Text Extraction Toolkit), PDFlib PLOP (Linearization, Optimization, Protection), and PDFlib pCOS (PDF Information Retrieval Tool) are included where appli- cable. The methods for deploying any of these products as a PHP extension are the same in all cases. However, only one product of the PDFlib family can be used at a time. Similarly, multiple versions of these products cannot be deployed at the same time. Different products can coexist within one PHP installation, however. Note that the evaluation versions of commercial PDFlib products will be fully functional, but will display a demo stamp across all generated PDF pages unless a valid license key is applied. This document applies to the following software versions: > PDFlib 7.0.4 and PDFlib 6.0.4 > TET 3.0, PLOP 4.0, and pCOS 2.0 > PHP 4.3.x, 4.4.x, 5.0.x, 5.1.x, 5.2.x, and 5.3.x Where applicable, version-specific information is provided separately. • Information Systems Planning in WEB 2.0, a new model approach
  • Since the beginning of the 90’s, organizations had been growing in a rapid way, becoming each more difficult to manage. The organization business cycle changed from 7 years in 1970-1980 to 12-18 months in the 90’s, and is even shorter nowadays. This change, transformed the organization world in a new and complex reality. To be able to deal with this reality, organizations put a big pressure in the information access and information became the organization most valuable asset. But this asset, information object, as some main characteristics: exists in larges quantities, as many different ways, is very volatile, must have confidentially, must have integrity, must have availability, in resume, can be very difficult to handle. It’s clear that managing this information reality is only possible with the adoption of information technologies and planning that adoption is a central need in order to get the correct solution for the problem. 1.1. Background Many studies mention that planning information systems is the major challenge for information systems managers (Hsu, 1995) and the organization information reality confirms that. Planning can be defined as “the activity in organizations life where is defined the future wanted for the information system and the way how this system should be supported by the information and communications technologies in order to achieve that support”(Amaral, 1994). Actual information systems planning deals with impact and alignment trying to change organizations with the use of technology, with impact planning or changing business, with alignment planning. 1.2. Alternatives But now, WEB 2.0 (Reilly, 2005) puts the power of

  • Setting up Microsoft Outlook to reject unsolicited email
  • Information Services has deployed a system using ‘SpamAssassin’ software which can help you manage the unsolicited email you receive. SpamAssassin examines every mail message entering the system and assigns it a score based on the similarity of its content to typical unsolicited or spam messages. If this score exceeds 5, the message is tagged ‘{Spam?}’ before it is delivered to you. It is possible to set up rules within Outlook® to automatically move such messages to a folder which could be checked from time to time. In theory it would be possible to move all such mail automatically to the deleted mail folder; this is not advisable, however, as mail may occasionally be scored incorrectly, leading to the deletion of normal mail. Information Services recommends that you make at least a quick check of the message sender and subject prior to deletion, even for messages marked ‘{Spam?}’. If you want to move messages to a new folder, it is easier to create this before beginning the following steps Download pdf Setting up Microsoft Outlook to reject unsolicited email
  • Battalion Wars Instruction Manual pdf
  • The world of Battalion Wars has a turbulent history, served by global conflict and only briefly interspersed with periods of tense, nervous peace. Over time, the great armies of the Western Frontier and the Tundran Territories have fought each other to a standstill. Gorgi, Tsar of the Tundran Empire and supreme commander of its military forces, will soon pass the reins of command to his son and heir, Marshal Nova. The Marshal has a more modern outlook than his father, and with Nova in charge, some dare to dream that a real and lasting peace might yet be possible… They now abide by a treaty guaranteeing mutual sovereignty, their two vast empires separated only by a thin strip of land– a Demilitarized Zone. Both sides monitor each other closely, primed to retaliate in the event of a preemptive strike. But on the other side of the DMZ, General Herman of the Western Frontier is spoiling for a fight; it’s been too long since Frontier troops saw combat. Brigadier Betty has a plan to get the men fighting fit and keep an eye on the Tundrans at the same time Download pdf Battalion Wars Instruction Manual

  • Google Chrome Inside Out Article
  • Google Chrome is out, brand new and shiny, and with its launch a new set of standards for all web browsers is implemented for both end users and developers. At this moment the Internet is flooded with details and info on Google's newest and hottest application designed to link the user to the pool of information on the web. Unlike successful browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera and even Internet Explorer, Google's approach in building Chrome differs in that the app is built from scratch without giving in to formalities (that is why, at first use, most users will waste time looking for the menu bar). The program seems as if all the features were added as soon as the tester needed them. None of its features are unnecessary or redundant in terms of access. Installing Chrome is nothing complicated as the automatic downloader and installer does the entire job for you and there is no need to go through the classic "Next" buttons. Everything is done automatically and at the end of the process you will be able to import bookmarks, passwords and other settings from Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. With this over you will be able to "chrome" your way on the web. Interface Chrome comes all wrapped up in a minimalistic interface designed outside the box and not cluttered with loads of features and options. The lack of a menu and title bar in maximized mode enhances user attention on the opened webpage and provides a better web experience.
