  • Sorin's Network Animator
  • The SNMP protocol was introduced in 1988. Overtime security had been added (1991-1992). Also several version improved versions have been published (SNMPv2[1] and SNMPv3[4]) The goal is to allow automation of network management by establishing a standard protocol supported by all network devices for configuration and monitoring. Using SNMP enabled devices network administrators can automate the tedious and error prone task of changing the configuration of the network by using an administration interface which in turn will automatically re-configure each device on the network using SNMP. By having a unified protocol a single administration application can manage an entire network of heterogeneous devices. Another use of SNMP is to monitor the state of the network. The protocol defines a special message called a trap that triggers an agent governing a device to send an event stream back to the administrator. Management applications can periodically pool the devices to obtain an up-to-date overview over the network. There are project existing [2] that facilitate the conversion of SNMP traces into formats that can be easily displayed. However, the user interface of the tools is either incomplete or not very well suited for the task at hand. The python converter presented converts SNMP and flow traces into a network animator file that can be viewed using the network animator(NAM). While the basic task of seeing the interaction dynamics is accomplished NAM does a very pour job at graph layout. Conversely the analyser based on JUNG does a very good job for the layout, but it does
  • The Practical SEO E-book
  • This E-Book was created with the small business person in mind. Whether you are a musician, a record label owner, or run some other kind of business and have a DIY mentality, this report will help you establish your online presence with a good foundation, or make the most of your current online presence. It is designed for people with little to basic knowledge of internet marketing - not for the advanced web marketer. I myself am not an SEO scientist, but an online marketer who is self- educated in the world of SEO. After much reading and experimentation, I’ve distilled the overwhelming amounts of information into what I think are the most fundamental and easy-to-implement tactics. I wrote it with small businesses, bands and others who are just starting out in mind – budgets are probably skimpy and you want to be able to accomplish results yourself with as little paid help as possible. All these tips can be easily implemented in such circumstances. If you do have a designer – give this book to him/her to implement for you. These tips are designed to be practical, effective and a good starter in the world of SEO – but not exhaustive. This is a free e-book so by all means share it with friends and colleagues. I hope you enjoy it and find it beneficial. I plan on making revisions and updates to it so I’m always interested in constructive feedback that might improve it: info@elemental-consulting.com Some of the topics touched on

  • Runescape Ultimate Gold Guide Manual
  • In this guide I will tell you how I went from nothing to over 200 Million in worth in just 6 months! Anyone can do it, in fact it is very easy. You do not need to scam, hack or steal at all to accomplish this. I have never once scammed anyone. If this guide is followed and you dedicate time into this skill you will be a millionaire in no time. I guarantee you will be satisfied with yourself and your friend will be impressed when you show them your bank roll. I have trained nearly a dozen people to become millionaires and want to help you also. I will include my email at the end of this guide for any questions. The only things you will need to accomplish this are patience, and discipline. Follow this guide. You do not need any high level skills. SO HOW IS IT DONE? Buying low, then selling higher. Better know as the skill of merchanting. When I first started playing Runescape I was a miner like many people are. I soon realized all the people that I saw selling coal for half of what I saw other people buying it for. So instead of being a slave for others and mining for hours at a time to

  • AjaxScope: A Platform for Remotely Monitoring the Client-Side Behavior of Web 2.0 Applications
  • The rise of the software-as-a-service paradigm has led to the development of a new breed of sophisticated, interactive applications often called Web 2.0. While web applications have become larger and more complex, web application developers today have little visibility into the end-to-end behavior of their systems. This paper presents AjaxScope, a dynamic instrumentation platform that enables cross-user monitoring and just-in-time control of web application behavior on end-user desktops. AjaxScope is a proxy that performs on-the-fly parsing and instrumentation of JavaScript code as it is sent to users’ browsers. AjaxScope provides facilities for distributed and adaptive instrumentation in order to reduce the client-side overhead, while giving fine-grained visibility into the code-level behavior of web applications. We present a variety of policies demonstrating the power of AjaxScope, ranging from simple error reporting and performance profiling to more complex memory leak detection and optimization analyses. We also apply our prototype to analyze the behavior of over 90 Web 2.0 applications and sites that use large amounts of JavaScript. In the last several years, there has been a sea change in the way software is developed, deployed, and maintained. Much of this has been the result of a rise of software-as-a-service paradigm as opposed to traditional shrink-wrap software. These changes have lead to an inherently more dynamic and fluid approach to software distribution, where users benefit from bug fixes and security updates instantly and without hassle. As our paper shows, this fluidity also creates opportunities for software monitoring. Indeed, additional monitoring code can be seamlessly injected
  • Fundamentals of Concurrent Programming for .NET
  • Many developers will have read Herb Sutter’s article “The Free Lunch is Over” which talks about the future speed increases of CPUs. The good news is that they will get significantly faster, but the bad news is that you won’t see all of the possible performance gains unless you write your application to take advantage of them. Over the last few years the increase in clock speeds has slowed down, and chip manufacturers are focussing more and more on concurrent execution of code. Hyperthreading was the first step, which allows a single processor core to execute two threads in parallel, but the future is multi-core chips which will allow many threads to execute truly independently. Intel is already talking about chips with over a hundred cores, so if your code is single-threaded you may only be using one hundredth of the available processing power! This Charteris White Paper introduces the fundamentals that will allow you to begin writing concurrent applications, and is intended to be easier to read than much of the material on this subject. It is targeted at developers who have some experience of developing on the .NET Framework, and ideally in C# as this is my language of choice for the code samples. No prior knowledge of concurrent programming or multi-threading is needed, though even experienced developers in this area may find some new and surprising information. The first section of this paper provides background information about threads, fibers, the thread pool asynchronous methods and events particularly with respect
  • ISDN Connect Data and Voice Terminal Adapter User Manual
  • The CONNECT is a Terminal Adapter (TA), i.e. the ISDN equivalent of a modem on the PSTN (the analogue telephone network). It allows standard serial data terminals (DTEs), such as personal computers, to be interconnected across the ISDN. The CONNECT is as easy to install and use as a modem and will operate with all existing terminals and communications applications that use the Hayes Standard AT Command Set. In addition, the CONNECT has an analogue interface port that emulates a standard PSTN line. This port allows devices such as a phone, fax, or answer-phone to make calls over your ISDN line. An ISDN connection provides three potential communications channels. Two (’B') Channels provide links running at 64000 bps which give greater throughput than the fastest modem. These ‘B’ Channel links support calls to other ISDN lines or (for voice calls) other PSTN analogue lines. The third link is a lower speed ‘D’ Channel data link, that allows calls to be made to a third party data network such as a public packet switch network. It is possible to have several ISDN devices sharing a single ISDN line through a facility known as the ‘S’ Bus. This allows all the connected devices to contend for the channels and to be separately addressable. The CONNECT range supports all these ISDN services. An ISDN line can support ‘data’ and ‘voice’ calls. In general ‘data’ calls are those made from the CONNECT’s data port. ‘Voice’ calls are calls made from the CONNECT’s analogue port. On
