Zani Observatory, to help minor planet observers in their researches. MPS runs under DOS and it works good also with Windows 95/98 operating systems.
MPS contains some executable programs and system files, each routine is a single executable program. Orbital elements database consists of two files: ASTEROID.ELE and ASTEROID.IDX. They should be upgraded anytime using MPCORB.DAT or MPCORBCR.DAT from the Minor Planet Centre. Campus Move to Microsoft Vista OS
The Blue and Green Desktop Support Teams have been testing the Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise Edition OS for several months. The present plan is to begin to introduce the OS on new college-purchased PCs beginning late in the second quarter of 2008, probably with new system replacements starting in May or June. There is no plan to have a “forklift” introduction. Instead, the OS will be introduced as systems are replaced on their normal cycle.
ITS has been purchasing “Vista compatible” systems for several months in anticipation of the upgrade, but has been installing Windows XP Professional Edition on those computers. These computers are ones that have adequate memory, disk space, and performance to support an upgrade to the Vista OS. It is possible that these Vista compatible computers will be upgraded from Windows XP to Vista, largely upon request and depending upon compatibility issues that could be uncovered. Current systems that are not presently equipped for Vista but that could be upgraded to a Vista compatible level will be considered for upgrade if the cost of doing so reasonably improves the utility of the system over its remaining life cycle. Step 1. (Optional) Preparation prior to fitting
Before you start removing your old parts you may want to consider preventing your new parts from corroding like the existing ones. You could smear a protective oil or grease over the exposed metal and rub it over or you could like myself spray paint the metal parts.
Step 2. Draw around the Bonnet Pin
Open bonnet and secure with the bonnet stay. It is important that you refit your new bonnet pin in the exact same position as the old one, so carefully with a pencil or dry marker, draw around the bonnet pin.
Step 3. Removing Bonnet Pin
Using a ratchet and a 10mm socket, slowly start to unscrew the two bolts holding the bonnet pin to the bonnet. If the bolts are rusty try to use some WD40 to help penetrate the rust.
Step 4. Removing Air Intake Pipe
Carefully remove the air intake pipe over the radiator using the 10mm socket on the three bolts highlighted below.
Step 5. Unhooking the Bonnet Release Cable & Removing Lock Once the air intake pipe has been removed, you should now be able to see between the slam panel and the radiator. Carefully looking between and you’ll see the bonnet release cable.
