One potentially problematic aspect of using Microsoft’s development tools to build, debug and deploy is their rapid and continual rate of change. As Microsoft’s Windows operating systems evolve, so do their developer tools to support new functionality, simplified development and ever changing programming paradigms. This means that with each release the user interface of their IDE, the APIs of their libraries and components and even the syntax and names of their programming languages typically change, often in backwardly incompatible ways. The majority of this document describes the use of Microsoft Visual C++ .Net 2003 to develop “managed” Windows Forms applications on Windows 2000 and higher. Although, the steps and code examples given below are known not to work with earlier versions and probably won’t work without modification on later versions, the explanations given in this document should be sufficient for someone skilled/familiar with Microsoft’s tools to adapt to their particular development environment.

In direct correlation with the Windows Genuine Advantage and the Activation mechanisms, Windows Vista will be able to detect and blacklist non-genuine product keys, crack attempts, and identify the expiration of the initial 30-day grace period. The operating system will react to all by moving first into a non-genuine state and then into Reduced Functionality Mode.
The reduced Functionality Mode in Windows Vista is the now infamous Black Screen of Death. Just access the images at the bottom in order to make an idea of what the Black Screen of Death is. Essentially, in Reduced Functionality Mode, Windows Vista features no desktop, no Taskbar and no Start Menu. Additionally, the background wallpaper is changed to an immutable shade of black, just so you can understand the source of the Black Screen of Death reference. And on top of it all, the copy of the operating system is flagged as non-genuine, which is simply an euphemism for pirated.
Just to be on the safe side, I want to tell you that the Vista copy flagged as non-genuine featured in the screenshots is actually a genuine Microsoft release. Before you begin
The Zimbra Connector for Apple iSync works on Apple computers running OS X 10.4.1 or later. Note: Recommended OS is 10.4.6 or later. Before you synchronize your calendars and address books, you should backup your Apple’s iCal and Address book data. If synchronization should fail, you can use these files to restore your Mac information.
• To back up Apple iCal, open iCal and select File>Back up Database.
