• The administrator subdivides the fonts into workgroups intended for specific types of users or projects
• The administrator decides which workgroups you need to access.
• You access workgroups, and the fonts within them, through the Universal Type Client application.
• Your user permissions control what you can do with fonts within each workgroup, including whether you can add fonts, share sets, change a font’s class, and more.
• Some users are font administrators, giving them more power over fonts.
The Universal Type Server Daily Workflow
If you’ve been using another font manager, your workflow stays relatively the same ----- open the font manager, find the fonts you want to use, and activate them. The benefit of Universal Type Server is that everyone you work with has access to the same fonts at the same time. Take a look at the typical use of Universal Type Server:
• Launch the Universal Type Client
• Open the appropriate workgroup (in many cases, you will belong to only one workgroup)
• Use the Universal Type Client to sort and preview fonts
• Customize font keywords, classes, foundries, and more*
• Create sets of fonts for specific projects or clients
• Add new fonts you purchased or received with jobs*
• Activate any fonts you want to use
• Use the fonts in any application in any document
• Collect fonts for output* Universal Type Server can also activate fonts automatically when youAMBIENT OCCLUSION IN MAYA8 and PHOTOSHOPThis tutorial covers the basics of how to setup and bake ambient occlusion maps in Maya8. The process is similar for previous versions of Maya only the menu names will be different. As with most things in Maya there are probably many different ways to do this but this method works well for me and is reasonably quick to setup.
1. SETTING UP THE SHADER NETWORK
- First open the hypershade window and from the Maya nodes list MMB drag a Surface Shader node into the work area
- Now click on the "Create Maya Nodes" button at the top of the nodes list and change it to MentalRay nodes.
- Then under the textures tab MMB drag an 'mib_amb_occlusion' node onto the work area
- Now connect the 'OutValue' of the Occlusion node to the 'OutColor' of the surface shader. This is the default connection between these 2 nodes so you can do this by simply holding down Ctrl and MMB dragging the occlusion node over the shader node.
2. SETTING UP YOUR SCENE
- In order to get good results from Ambient Occlusion the scene environment must be white. To do this open the Outliner window and select the Persp camera. In the attribute editor under the Environment tab slide the Background Color to 100% white
- Now open the Render Globals window and select MentalRay as your renderer and Production as the quality preset. Now change the multi-pixel filter to "Lanczos".
(this will automatically change your Quality preset to 'Custom' like in the picture)

DownloadTraditional Method Oil Change Instructions for VW 1.9 TDI PDF ManualThis document provides instructions on changing the oil and filter on a VW 1.9 TDI engines. All the pictures here are taken from my 2001 New Beetle with automatic transmission. Golfs and Jettas are slightly different fromt the images. And manual transmissions have a full cover on the belly pan. Automatics have a cutout on the belly pan. It exposes the transmission. There is a drain plug readily visible that a quick lube place can be confused about. I have haeard stories that they remove it and a dark red fluid comes out. You do not want this to happen as you can’t drive it.
You will have to have it towed to the dealership. Or you can do it yourself with instructions written by Drivbiwire to deal with it. You can find the ATF chane instructions on the TDIClub.

For full details, we refer you to Rod Johnson’s book, Expert One-on-One J2EE Design and Development, published by Wrox Press in 2002. The book’s ISBN number is 1-86100-784-1. The code for the Spring Framework is contained in package com.interface21. We provide UML diagrams for the subpackages, as well as code samples.
1.1 Setting up for the samples
The samples have been written using the MySQL database (www.mysql.com), Tomcat (jakarta.apache.org/tomcat) and JBoss(www.jboss.org). We refer you to these web sites for setting up the environment correctly. In MySQL, create a database named test, a user test with password test, and grant user test all rights: grant all on test.* to test@localhost identified by ’test’; If you use a different database, read the comments at the top of the samples files, they will direct you to the spots in the code you will have to change for your database.
1.2 Building the tutorials
The tutorials can be built using the provided Ant script (you can get ant at http://jakarta.apache.org/ant). You may need to edit the build.properties file to set paths correctly for your system.
1.3 Running the tutorials
We provide a shell script, runtest.sh, and a batch file, runtest.bat, for running a single tutorial. You may need to edit these files to set the paths correctly.

To make use of the service, you require an account from COMMZGATE as well as the IP address of the gateway on the Internet. Please contact your account manager if you do not have the above. HTTP Methods:
The POST method may be used for the APIs unless explicitly stated otherwise.
There are two categories of APIs:
1. MT (Mobile Terminate) APIs involve sending messages from the MMG to Mobile Device. The APIs are:
1) Send Message
2) Check Balance (Tokens are deducted upon each successful MT request)
2. MO (Mobile Originate) APIs involve receiving messages from the Mobile Device to MMG.
There is currently only one API:
1) Receive Message
For MT and Application APIs, http POST is initiated by the External Application and directed to the MMG.
For MO APIs, http POST is initiated by the MMG and directed to the External Application.
This document defines the APIs, their parameters, and return values. Note that parameter names are case sensitive. Also, none of the parameter values that are passed in should contain the pipe “|” character. The standard HTTP encoding rules must be used when passing text as parameters.

The object they use to perform this is the SqlDataSource. It works very well in many cases. It’s fast, easy to use and great for demonstration of technology and to show how fast you can program database type applications. It falls apart (IMHO) when the application starts getting larger and requiring more customization. It’s also very hard to maintain because at the end of the day, it puts most of what it does in the aspx page itself.
The ObjectDataSource on the other hand completely abstracts the web interface from the database. This means that you can completely isolate the web interface from directly going against data tables. Because this layer sits between the web and the database, it allows for complex transformations of incoming data to the back end databases. This would be near impossible (and unreadable) with the SqlDataSource.
In general, the bad news about ObjectDataSource’s is that they are bulky to program. Lots and lots of repetition, lots of attribute lists and lots of chances to make small mistakes that are hard to find. This being the case, it is just screaming out for some kind of code generator and hence the name, “Pain Free ODS Generator”
Who This is For
The Pain Free ObjectDataSource Generator (PF ODS Gen) is for engineers who just read the Why part above and knew exactly what I was talking about. It’s for engineers who know how to build ObjectDataSources
