  • 7 Things You Should Know about Google Earth Pdf Paper
  • Alexander is writing a paper about the Lewis and Clark expedition, focusing on a critical decision. When the party arrived at a fork in the river in June 1805, the crew believed the north fork was the proper route; Captains Lewis and Clark thought the south course would get them to the Pacific Ocean. Alexander looks at the area on Google Earth.Com, which helps him understand the geography of this part of Montana. Alexander decides to supplement his paper with a visualization from Google Earth. He has a complete set of Lewis and Clark’s maps, in JPEG format, from their journey. He carefully overlays their maps onto the im- ages in Google Earth, adding placemarks for important milestones. Once he has the journey superimposed on the satellite images, Alexander creates a screencast of himself navigating across the country toward the coast, following the route that the explorers took. His screencast narration touches on the events and circumstances that led to the decision at the fork near what is now the town of Great Falls. The images help explain the quandary the party found themselves in, as well as how they came to know they made the correct choice of the southern fork. Alexander also shows where the north fork would have taken the explorers and includes a hypothetical scenario about the difficulties the group would have encountered had they gone that way. • Measurement Studio - Development Tools for Visual Basic, Visual C#, and Visual C++
  • National Instruments Measurement Studio is an integrated suite of native measurement and automation controls, tools, and class libraries for Visual Studio. NI Measurement Studio dramatically reduces application development time with ActiveX and .NET controls, object- oriented measurement hardware interfaces, advanced analysis libraries, scientific user interface controls, measurement data networking, wizards, interactive code designers, and highly extensible classes. Building on more than 15 years of measurement programming expertise, National Instruments created Measurement Studio with tools designed specifically for Microsoft Visual Basic, Visual C#, and Visual C++ to bring you simplified integration with data acquisition and instrument control interfaces for easier hardware integration. With Measurement Studio, you use your Visual Studio programming knowledge to get measurements started quickly and create a complete measurement solution. Measurement Studio delivers an interactive design approach for developing measurement and automation systems inside Visual C++. Because the tools for Visual C++ integrate into the environment, you can use them exactly as you would native Microsoft tools. You can use the Measurement Studio AppWizard together with controls and class libraries to easily create your C++ measurement system. The AppWizard creates a project according to your specifications and includes a code template and the measurement tools you need to design your application. These tools include C++ classes for instrument control, data acquisition, data analysis, and live data transfer across the Internet. In addition, custom controls are included for creating your measurement user interface. Data object classes, which seamlessly encapsulate and pass data from acquisition to analysis to presentation, link the measurement
  • Traits in CSharp
  • The main focus of this work is on identifying interesting and important aspects of introducing traits to CSharp. We also identify required and optional features for statically typed languages as well as conflict situations. The implementation presented in this paper is a simple prototype (a preprocessor) based on the trait flattening property [9]. It is meant to be a study case for a clean implementation. The main problem concerning traits and statically typed languages like CSharp is about typing traits and to keep the ability to share code easily. Many approaches already exist in theory. This practical work contributes to the research about traits by presenting a simple prototype, showing the possibilities and difficulties in integrating traits in statically typed languages. Although the focus of this work is on CSharp most of the results are directly applicable to other typed object-oriented languages. The implemented “trait flattening framework”, kept mostly language independent, would also work for most other c-like languages (with only slight modification). Section 2 shortly introduces traits. The following sections cover the basics about CSharp, give a short overview about a first dirty-prototype done in CSharp itself and contain some more extensive descriptions, results and practical research by doing the final implementation using Smalltalk. • Guide to Buying a Scooter or Powered Wheelchair PDF
  • What is a powered wheelchair or a scooter? We probably recognise them when we see them, but what are the features, the differences and the legal aspects? l The law There is legislation that separates scooters and powered wheelchairs in to categories Class 2 vehicles and Class 3 vehicles. Technically they are still called invalid carriages ! CLASS 2 Class 2 vehicles, which are sometimes referred to as pavement vehicles , are designed for use on the footway, which is defined as: a portion of a carriageway that is set aside for use only by pedestrians . They are not allowed on roads other than to cross them and are limited to a maximum speed of 4mph. l Scooter Scooters are by far the more common of the powered mobility aids we see on our streets. They have three or four wheels and are steered using a handlebar, rather like a cycle. They have a battery pack and power from this drives motors on all or some of the wheels. Controls on the handlebar regulate speed and may include switches for a horn and lights. There is a single seat and there may be some provision to carry shopping or a bag in a basket or panniers. Powered wheelchairs look at least to some extent like a traditional wheelchair. They have between four and six wheels and a battery pack. Control of steering and speed is nearly always from a small joystick. There may be auxiliary
