  • UML for C# pdf
  • C# is a modern object-oriented language for application development. In addition to object-oriented constructs, C# supports component-oriented programming with properties, methods and events. UML defines graphical notations for describing and designing object-oriented software systems. It’s an open standard controlled by the Object Management Group (OMG). Although UML has many diagram types, we’ll focus on class models that show static class structure and relationships. WinA&D is a complete UML modeling tool enriched with C# language specific details used to generate source code. WinTranslator is a reverse engineering tool that scans code to extract design information into WinA&D models. Diagrams created in WinA&D are used to illustrated C# programs represented in the UML notation. This paper assumes a working knowledge of C# and UML. It briefly describes how C# constructs are represented by UML for forward and reverse engineering. Get pdf UML for C#
  • DOS Programming Part II
  • DOS Secrets To program well, you have to know more about your hardware and DOS internals. This book is neither a hardware book nor a beginners’ book. So I would slightly touch the hardware and DOS internals in this chapter. In many Institutions hardware & software are being taught as different subjects. And people don’t know how both are related. For system programming you must know the relationship between the two. This chapter will help you to understand why a programmer should know hardware & DOS internals for DOS programming. 14.1 Prelude DOS (Disk Operating System) is the widely used operating system. It is a single-user operating system. DOS is designed to provide an easy way to use disks for storage. It is very efficient in controlling, accessing and managing the data from disk drives. The basic operations performed by DOS are regulate space allocation, keep track of files, save and retrieve files and manage other control functions associated with disk storage. Thus using DOS an interface is made between the user and the computer. This DOS is same for all the systems. For loading this DOS to the memory BIOS, bootstrap program, diagnostic testing programs are very essential and we will discuss it in the coming sections. Download pdf DOS Programming Part II
  • A Guide to Microsoft Active Directory (AD) Design
  • Active Directory design is an enormous task. The technology has more capabilities and is therefore much more complex than any other networking technology available today. Because of this, many organizations are late deploying AD into their production environment. The goal of this guide is to facilitate the design process for those DOE sites that are currently engaged in designing their Active Directory network. This guide is based on personal experience and a two-year design process that included planning, meetings, documentation, and training. This information has the potential to cut the design time by 50% and produce more tangible results than using the Microsoft design process alone. This guide provides a general tutorial of Active Directory concepts as well as highlights some of the pitfalls, issues, and misinformation to be aware of when designing Active Directory for a site. Additionally, this guide demonstrates three common Active Directory designs and design tradeoffs by presenting a pragmatic scenario. To accomplish this, it is broken into 3 parts. Part I is comprised of an overview of Active Directory. Specifically, Section 3 outlines an Active Directory Tutorial and Section 4 describes the Microsoft Design process. Section 5 describes how to scope an AD Design. Part I provides the basis for understanding the design scenarios illustrated in Part II and best practices described in Part III. • ALEKS User's Guide for Higher Education Mathematics
  • You are about to discover one of the most powerful educational tools available for learning mathematics. Combining advanced learning technology with the flexibility of the Internet, the ALEKS system provides a “smart” interactive tutoring system with unmatched features and capabilities. Richly supplied with illustrations and reference materials, ALEKS constantly challenges you and supplies extensive feedback on what you have accomplished. ALEKS will always help you select the ideal topic to work on now. That way you learn concepts in the order that’s best for you. ALEKS provides individualized, one-on-one instruction that fits your schedule. It is available wherever you access the Web. ALEKS was developed with support from the National Science Foundation. It is based on a field of Mathematical Cognitive Science called “Knowledge Spaces.” The purpose of research in Knowledge Spaces is to model human knowledge of any subject for quick, precise assessment and efficient guided learning in interactive computer programs. The ALEKS system is self-explanatory and includes online instructions and feedback. This booklet contains basic information to help you begin using ALEKS. Instructors using ALEKS with their courses are provided with an Instructor’s Manual containing complete information on the system’s operation. They should be able to answer any questions beyond those dealt with in these pages. NOTE. ALEKS is designed for use without help from a manual. Your instructor will assist you in registering with the system and beginning to use it. If questions arise, or if you want to learn more about ALEKS, use this Guide. It is intended as a
  • 2000 Pontiac Firebird Owner’s Manual PDF
  • Won’t I be trapped in the vehicle after an accident if I’m wearing a safety belt? A: You could be — whether you’re wearing a safety belt or not. But you can unbuckle a safety belt, even if you’re upside down. And your chance of being conscious during and after an accident, so you can unbuckle and get out, is much greater if you are belted. Q: If my vehicle has air bags, why should I have to wear safety belts? A: Air bags are in many vehicles today and will be in most of them in the future. But they are supplemental systems only; so they work with safety belts — not instead of them. Every air bag system ever offered for sale has required the use of safety belts. Even if you’re in a vehicle that has air bags, you still have to buckle up to get the most protection. That’s true not only in frontal collisions, but especially in side and other collisions. • Animation in MAYA PDF Sample
  • You are free in your choice of objects, scenery, animation, etc. as long as all of the requirements below are met: • You must use the letters “DDM” (note that MAYA has standard functionality for creating objects from text) in your scene. The letters must be an active (moving) part of the animation. • You must use keyframe animation somewhere. • You must use reactive animation somewhere (i.e. an animation that is influenced by another animation, e.g. by using driven keys). • You must use dynamics somewhere (i.e. rigid bodies or particles or …) • Your animation must have at least 15 seconds of unique frames (but more is of course ok!), at a reasonable speed of animation. • Java and C# Generic Types and Methods
  • History of generics in programming languages The theory of generic types (parametric polymorphism) is by Hindley (1968) and Milner (1977). First programming language with parametric polymorphism is ML (1979); then Miranda, Haskell, Clean, ... First object-oriented language with generics is Eiffel (1991). Generics in Java • PolyJ (Myers, Bank, Liskov; 1997): Type parameters can be instantiated by reference types and primitive types; requires an extended JVM. • Generic Java (Bracha, Odersky, Stoutamire, Wadler 1998): Became Java 5.0 generics (plus wildcards, due to researchers at Aarhus University); runs on standard JVM. • NextGen (Cartwright, Steele; 1998): Type parameters can be instantiated by reference types, not primitive types; runs on standard JVM Generics in C# • Generic C# and new Generic Common Language Runtime (Kennedy and Syme, Microsoft Research Cambridge UK, 2001). • In November 2002, Microsoft announced generics for next version of C#; Redmond had been convinced ... • In August 2003, first alpha version of .Net Common Language Infrastructure with generics released.
