Download pdf Next Generation Server Remote Unlocking Operations ManualBuilding a Multi-Page Image Viewer with ImageGear for SilverlightAs the desire to deliver rich web content and functionality has increased over the last decade, Rich Internet Application (RIA) technologies have become increasingly powerful. Unfortunately, many of these technologies have been out of reach for many client application developers because of the non-trivial learning curve involved. In addition, with the number of RIA technologies available, where do you even begin? In many cases, there was not a “one size fits all” solution, so RIA development would involve a mix of HTML, JavaScript, Adobe Flash, and perhaps a little AJAX thrown in (just to name a few possibilities).
Luckily, Microsoft has entered the world of RIA frameworks, and with the introduction of Microsoft Silverlight 2, offers a platform, which leverages existing .NET developers’ talents. With version 3.0 in the works, providing enhanced graphics support, data binding, and perhaps best of all, out-of-browser support, the Silverlight platform is certainly worth a look for new, and even existing, RIA development.
Silverlight includes many of the same base services and types included in the .NET Framework. However, because it is a runtime built specifically for the web, where developers expect a robust platform in a small package, much of the functionality included in its desktop cousin is absent. For example, the image type in Silverlight, System.Windows.Media.Imaging.BitmapImage, only supports JPEG and PNG image file types, and does not include support for grayscale. This is where third-party tools vendors become part of the Silverlight ecosystem, providing extensions to the base platform as the market demands. (See Minimum Specifications in Section 1.2 for limitations for Mac and Unix operating systems.) Developed to meet the needs of educators, NASA Image2000 supports the display, analysis and processing of satellite imagery.
NASA Image2000 Functionality
The functionality built into NASA Image2000 was designed to provide the capability for the display and analysis of geo-coded satellite imagery. Users can perform standard image processing tasks, similar to those available in general graphics packages. In addition, the system provides other less common functions, including (but not limited to) the following:
Display pixel intensity, pixel location relative to the image, latitude and longitude values and their corresponding projected coordinates (for geo-coded images only)
Non-destructive image annotation including text, symbols, lines and polygons,
Processing based on a region of interest (ROI),
Image math using scalars and other images,
Compute image statistics,
Generate a histogram,
Measurement options including distance, area, perimeter, and angle,
Apply map projections,
Create, edit, and animate a stack of images, and
Create a montage from a stack or from open images

get pdfSetting Options and Customising Microsoft Excel 2002Like all Microsoft Office products, Excel allows you to customise various settings to suit your own requirements. Whereas Microsoft Word has a default template called normal.dot, Excel has a special file called Excel.xlb in which your settings are stored. Note that not all settings are stored here, however - for example, each file has its own colour palette.
Perhaps the most useful customisation centres around the toolbars and menus. You can decide which toolbars to display (and where you would like them positioned on the screen). If you want to, you can remove, add or rearrange the buttons on a toolbar (or the commands in a menu). You can even create your own toolbars and menus, adding either built-in commands or your own (using macros - see Writing Macros in Microsoft Excel 2003 for further information).
Another common area of customisation concerns charts. You can create your own chart types and change the palette of colours used on charts. Defining your own types lets you apply a given layout to a set of charts - eg for a particular publication or thesis. While on the subject of colours, you can also modify the default colour palette used for fonts and filling cells.
A further aspect of customisation centres around customised lists. A few lists are built into the system (eg the days of the week and months of the year) but you can create your own. These can then be used to fill further cells or to sort data in a particular order.ShopBot Users Guide ManualThe Basic ShopBot Control Panel Installing the USB to Serial Adapter Drivers Installing the Software Starting Up The Basic ShopBot Command Principle Entering Values (Parameters) So Let’s Run a Part File Getting Help The Layout of Your ShopBot Table: Directions, Distances, and Base Coordinates The Logic of XYZ Giving Directions; ABSOLUTE vs RELATIVE distance You Can Reorganize Your “Graph Paper” Temporary Zero Points When Cutting Files Table Base Coordinates vs Current Working Coordinates Software Limit Checking Maintaining Accurate XYZ Locations Changing the Direction of Movement of an Axis Software Axis Designation Optional 4th or 5th Axis or Channel Inches or Millimeters

You may be familiar with VMWare or Virtual PC that are used to emulate various operating systems in a virtual environment. These programs allow you to run operating systems such as Windows XP Professional or Ubuntu Linux in a virtual environment on your computer. GNS3 allows the same type of emulation using Cisco Internetwork Operating Systems. It allows you to run a Cisco IOS in a virtual environment on your computer. GNS3 is a graphical front end to a product called Dynagen. Dynamips is the core program that allows IOS emulation. Dynagen runs on top of Dynamips to create a more user friendly, text-based environment. A user may create network topologies using simple Windows ini-type files with Dynagen running on top of Dynamips. GNS3 takes this a step further by providing a graphical environment.
GNS3 allows the emulation of Cisco IOSs on your Windows or Linux based computer. Emulation is possible for a long list of router platforms and PIX firewalls. Using an EtherSwitch card in a router, switching platforms may also be emulated to the degree of the card’s supported functionality. This means that GNS3 is an invaluable tool for preparing for Cisco certifications such as CCNA and CCNP. There are a number of router simulators on the market, but they are limited to the commands that the developer chooses to include. Almost always there are commands or parameters that are not supported when working on a practiceSignal Mirror Installation InstructionsHonda Goldwing GL 1500, 1988-2000. Download PDFDatabase BasicsA database is a simple, yet flexible and powerful tool for storing and retrieving data. Every company, every website, has lots of data. The more of your data that you keep in your database - the better. Far from being a tool only useful to big businesses, even if you just want a simple guest book or page hit counter, a database is perfect. As you'll see in this tutorial, using a database is easy and rewarding.
Whichever database you use - it'll be a relational database. This is the industry standard design these days. Relational databases use the principles of set theory. Set theory is a field of mathematics that describes how to deal with sets of data. Relational databases are quite intuitive and easy to understand.
This chapter describes how databases work. All the main SQL commands are explained later. Once you understand them, you'll be able to access all the features of the database in the way it was designed to be used..
Here are the basics:
• All data is held in tables.
• A table has columns (along the top) and rows.
• You create the tables you need. You define the table names.
• You define what the column names are in each table.
• You define what type of data the columns are...
