  • UML for C# pdf
  • C# is a modern object-oriented language for application development. In addition to object-oriented constructs, C# supports component-oriented programming with properties, methods and events. UML defines graphical notations for describing and designing object-oriented software systems. It’s an open standard controlled by the Object Management Group (OMG). Although UML has many diagram types, we’ll focus on class models that show static class structure and relationships. WinA&D is a complete UML modeling tool enriched with C# language specific details used to generate source code. WinTranslator is a reverse engineering tool that scans code to extract design information into WinA&D models. Diagrams created in WinA&D are used to illustrated C# programs represented in the UML notation. This paper assumes a working knowledge of C# and UML. It briefly describes how C# constructs are represented by UML for forward and reverse engineering. Get pdf UML for C#
  • Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh Network Installation and Administration Guide
  • A Kurzweil 3000 Network is a system that provides all of the features and benefits of the single-user Kurzweil 3000 product, but with the following added advantages: • The Kurzweil 3000 Engine stores each student’s Kurzweil 3000 settings and preferences. This allows students to access their customized settings from any Kurzweil 3000 client computer connected to the Kurzweil 3000 Network. • System administrators can manage large, and changing, numbers of Kurzweil 3000 users and Kurzweil 3000 licenses from a central location using the Kurzweil 3000 Administrator. • The Kurzweil 3000 client software may be installed on as many computers on your network as you want, regardless of the number of licenses you have purchased. As long as there is an available license on the Kurzweil 3000 Engine, it is available to any client on the network. • Teachers can track each student’s progress and daily interaction with Kurzweil 3000 via the Eventlog file The Kurzweil 3000 Network is a software application that consists of one or more computers running client software, and at least one computer running the Network Engine software. While logged on to the Kurzweil 3000 Network, users can work with Kurzweil 3000 using their preferred Kurzweil 3000 settings, which are saved on the Kurzweil 3000 Network Engine. The physical layout of a Kurzweil 3000 Network consists of the following: • Kurzweil 3000 Network Engine computer. A computer on which the Kurzweil 3000 network engine software has been installed. This Macintosh must be running Mac OS X version 10.3.9 or later. The Kurzweil 3000 network engine’s
  • Matching Schemas in Online Communities: A Web 2.0 Approach
  • When integrating data from multiple sources, a key task that online communities often face is to match the schemas of the data sources. Today, such matching often incurs a huge workload that overwhelms the relatively small set of volunteer integrators. In such cases, community members may not even volunteer to be integrators, due to the high workload, and consequently no integration systems can be built. To address this problem, we propose to enlist the multitude of users in the community to help match the schemas, in a Web 2.0 fashion. We discuss the challenges of this approach and provide initial solutions. Finally, we describe an extensive set of experiments on both real-world and synthetic data that demonstrate the utility of the approach. The World-Wide Web is teeming with communities, such as those of movie fans, database researchers, bioinformatists, intelligence analysts, and so on. As such communities proliferate, research on their data management challenges has attracted increasing attention. A key challenge is to integrate data from multiple community-related sources. For example, the community of real estate agents in the Great Lakes region may want to build a system that integrates all real-estate sources in that area. As another example, the database community may want to integrate all information about publications, from DBLP, Google Scholar, and researchers’ homepages, among others. Today, integrating such data within a community is largely shouldered by a relatively small set of volunteers, henceforth called builders. To integrate the data, a key task that builders often face is to establish
  • Illustrated Roadmap for Macintosh GQMac Web
  • This Illustrated Roadmap was designed to help the Computer Coordinator customize GradeQuick for their school and for teachers to make further customizations that will affect only their files. The Illustrated Roadmap will also assist teachers through various GradeQuick features and will serve as an easy reference to guide teachers through the school year using GradeQuick. Customizing Your Gradebook Successful use of GradeQuick begins with setting GradeQuick features to correspond with your school/district policies or your personal user preferences. Technology coordinators can set global settings for all teachers to use and then allow teachers to further establish their own settings. All features can be set globally by the GradeQuick administrator and then further customized by the individual teachers or the feature can be restricted with the Jackson Software supplemental program called SiteManager. More information on global settings can be found in the Site License notebook. Please consider setting the following GradeQuick features prior to entering grades in GradeQuick. Keep in mind that as a teacher your technology coordinator/GradeQuick administrator may have already set some of these settings for your use. GradeScale Numeric Grades Grading Symbols Score Footnotes Student Data Field Names Attendance Start Dates Attendance Codes Vacation Dates Weighting Grading Preferences After you have customized your chosen features in one gradebook be sure to follow the directions on the last page of this section to copy the features to your other gradebooks. • The Bugzilla Guide ? 2.16.3 Release
  • Bugzilla is a bug? or issue?tracking system. Bug?tracking systems allow individual or groups of developers effectively to keep track of outstanding problems with their product. Bugzilla was originally written by Terry Weissman in a programming language called TCL, to replace a rudimentary bug?tracking database used internally by Netscape Communications. Terry later ported Bugzilla to Perl from TCL, and in Perl it remains to this day. Most commercial defect?tracking software vendors at the time charged enormous licensing fees, and Bugzilla quickly became a favorite of the open?source crowd (with its genesis in the open?source browser project, Mozilla). It is now the de?facto standard defect?tracking system against which all others are measured. Bugzilla boasts many advanced features. These include: • Powerful searching • User?configurable email notifications of bug changes • Full change history • Inter?bug dependency tracking and graphing • Excellent attachment management • Integrated, product?based, granular security schema • Fully security?audited, and runs under Perl's taint mode • A robust, stable RDBMS back?end • Web, XML, email and console interfaces • Completely customisable and/or localisable web user interface • Extensive configurability • Smooth upgrade pathway between versions Why Should We Use Bugzilla? For many years, defect?tracking software has remained principally the domain of large software development houses. Even then, most shops never bothered with bug?tracking software, and instead simply relied on shared lists and email to monitor the status of defects. This procedure is error?prone and tends to cause those bugs judged least significant by developers to be dropped or ignored. These days, many companies are finding that integrated defect?tracking systems reduce downtime, increase productivity, and raise
  • Creating True Scale Map Books with AutoCAD Map 3D 2009
  • The Map Book function has been a Part of Map 3D since the early days of ADE. In the last several releases the functionality has become very robust and a whole lot easier to use due to the Sheet Set Manager and a Wizard. That being said, there is one piece of the Map Books that can cause you to go nuts (and many folks it seems just give up)… setting a % Overlap value and still getting a scaled map book. The key to solving this dilemma is in the Map Book template (.dwt). The following is a discussion of and tutorial on how to properly set up a map book template to produce a properly scaled Map Book set (and stop ramming your head against your desk). Overlap actually scales your viewport by the value and does NOT compensate for the Scale you set the viewport to be. THIS IS THE KEY #1 That being said, your scale affects the Viewport in your Map Book .dwt file. The Viewport has to be created to match the desired scale of the Map Book compared to the size of your Map Book Grid. To be successful in scale you must create the Grid (in model space) and use the “Custom” Tiling option. Do not use the “By Area” and “By Number” Tiling Options. THIS IS KEY #2. Yes, I also think AutoCAD is supposed to be doing the Math for us, but alas, human intervention is still alive and necessary!

  • The Web 2.0 Driven SECI Model Based Learning Process
  • Nonaka and his knowledge transformation model SECI revolutionized the thinking about organizations as social learning systems. He introduced technical concepts like hypertext into organizational theory. Now, after 15 years Web 2.0 concepts seem to be an ideal fit with Nonaka’s SECI approach opening new doors for more personal, dynamic, and social learning on a global scale. In this paper, we present an extended view of blended learning which includes the combination of formal and informal learning, knowledge management, and Web 2.0 concepts into one integrated solution, by discussing what we call the Web 2.0 driven SECI model based learning process. Peter Drucker, among others, argues that in the emerging economy, knowledge is the primary resource for individuals and for the economy overall; land, labor, and capital. He further argues that improving front-line worker productivity is the greatest challenge of the 21st century [1]. Realizing that knowledge and competence have become increasingly critical to their continued success, organizations worldwide are spending upwards of $ 2.2 trillion dollars on training and education measures, which have become integral to any organization for it to remain competitive [2]. Over the last decade, it has been widely argued that e-Learning could respond to accelerating global competition, increase the quality of learning experiences, remove situational barriers, be more cost effective, and transform the way we learn. However, despite isolated achievements, the success record was on the whole not very encouraging and e-Learning did not succeed to revolutionize our education and learning processes [3][4]. The most influential knowledge management
  • JADE PROGRAMMER’S GUIDE
  • This programmer’s guide is complemented by the administrator’s guide and the HTML documentation available in the directory jade/doc. If and where conflict arises between what is reported in the HTML documentation and this guide, preference should be given to the HTML documentation that is updated more frequently. JADE (Java Agent Development Framework) is a software development framework aimed at developing multi-agent systems and applications conforming to FIPA standards for intelligent agents. It includes two main products: a FIPA-compliant agent platform and a package to develop Java agents. JADE has been fully coded in Java and an agent programmer, in order to exploit the framework, should code his/her agents in Java, following the implementation guidelines described in this programmer’s guide. This guide supposes the reader to be familiar with the FIPA standards1, at least with the Agent Management specifications (FIPA no. 23), the Agent Communication Language, and the ACL Message Structure (FIPA no. 61). JADE is written in Java language and is made of various Java packages, giving application programmers both ready-made pieces of functionality and abstract interfaces for custom, application dependent tasks. Java was the programming language of choice because of its many attractive features, particularly geared towards object-oriented programming in distributed heterogeneous environments; some of these features are Object Serialization, Reflection API and Remote Method Invocation (RMI).
