  • Integrating Components with Visual Studio .NET
  • Visual Studio .NET presents a great deal of information about controls and other components you use in the development environment. When you drag a compo- nent from the toolbox into your project, VS.NET appears to know everything about it—the events and properties it supports are displayed in the property panel, neatly categorized, with a short description available for each member. Some controls have their own unique interactive editing features. Many add extra items to Visual Studio .NET’s menus. You might suspect that this level of extensive and often highly specialized support is something that is available only for the built-in controls, but that is not the case. Visual Studio .NET has a very open architecture for allowing components to customize the way in which they integrate with the environment. Basic Integration To build components that exploit Visual Studio .NET’s integration facilities, you must understand the basic mechanisms involved. Component integration relies heavily on the .NET runtime’s reflection mechanism—the facility that allows type information to be examined at runtime. VS.NET uses reflection to discover what properties and events your component provides. Strictly speaking, Visual Studio .NET doesn’t use reflection directly. It uses the TypeDescriptor class and its friends in the System. ComponentModel namespace. These provide a virtualized view of type information, which allows a component’s properties to be extended dynamically. The TypeDescriptor API is implemented using the reflection API however.. • AJA Configuration Guide pdf
  • AGP Graphics cards:this document lists the most common and most tested cards.Th ere are other boards available from both ATI and Nvidia that work with Kona and Io (such as the Radeon 9800).However,caution should be excercised when buying the latest and most powerful cards since their drivers may be new and untested with Kona/Io or may put heavy demands (RAM/processor etc.)in the Mac.Any such system con gurations should be fully tested by the dealer/reseller before delivering to an AJA customer. 3 -Amount of RT:if flexible Io is what the customer really needs, then the Io is a better choice although it won't deliver as much RT as a Kona configuration. On the G5 dual 2GHz expect to see 5 to 6 streams of RT;on the G5 dual 2.5 expect to see 7 to 8 streams of RT (you will need to be in RT extreme mode for these high RT stream counts). Io works ne on the faster g4 dual processor machines, but it s strongly recommended for new customers to use the dual processor G5 systems for maximum performance (since the G4 is no longer produced by Apple, the G5 /Io combination is the default). 4 -Hard Drive con gurations for Video:there are a number of unique and creative video storage options for uncompressed video,DV25,DV50 and DV100 video for the G4 and G5 in addition to the standard external SCSI or Fibre Storage with an HBA in one of the PCI slots.Th ese options include, but are

However, the system may not detect all objects depending on their size, shape, and location. • Even with the backup sensors, the driver is still responsible for making sure the path is clear when driving in
  • Web 2.0 Ideas for Educators A Guide to RSS and More
  • RSS is an acronym that stands for Rich Site Summary, though it’s often alternatively defined as Really Simple Syndication. The simplest definition of RSS is an eXtensible Markup Language(XML) format that uses the Resource Description Framework (RDF) for representing information about resources on the World Wide Web. Similarly, Atom is another format based on XML technology. You might see buttons like these: There are a few types of feeds commonly found on web sites RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0 and Atom. There is quite a bit of debate about which type of xml format is better, but for the purpose of simplicity I will often be referring to feeds as RSS. RSS and Atom feeds are the structures that organize content which is being updated on a regular basis in order for others to retrieve it. This content could be articles, blog posts, photos, PDF documents, PowerPoint Presentations, audio files, video files, or other applications. If the content is the flesh of an orange then a feed would be its skin. The skin keeps the flesh in place so that it is easier to transport. In 2003, RSS was more commonly associated with weblogs, known as blogs. Blogs and RSS feeds almost seemed to be an isolated cause and effect. Where there was a blog, you would find an RSS feed. As this visualization shows, RSS feeds can more recently be seen being used for many different purposes. Bloggers created a different type of media, by adding audio and video files as the primary content
