Maya 104: DynamicsDuring this tutorial we’ll explore a number of features of Maya’s dynamics toolset.
In part I - the ‘membrane pore tutorial’ - we’ll create a scene with a turbulent membrane that also has a ‘pore’ dynamically floating in it. Next we’ll create a swarm of molecules that collide with the membrane (and can otherwise only traverse it via the pore opening). We’ll gain finer control over the behavior of individual molecules in the swarm through the use of expressions. Finally, we’ll add goals to the entire swarm and control the degree to which these goals affect the swarm’s movement.
In part II – the ‘blastocyst tutorial’ - we’ll look at how a piece of geometry can serve as a goal for particles. Specifically, we’ll create a blastocyst-stage embryo made up of blobby particles attracted to a sphere. We’ll control the behavior of these particles relative to the surface of the sphere. For the finale, we’ll squeeze the blastocyst out of the zona pellucida surrounding it by using a lattice deformer applied to the sphere.

Finish Maintenance
1. Damage to the vehicles finish can be caused by small deposits of dirt, insects, tree sap, chemicals and bird droppings. Prompt removal of these deposits will preserve the vehicles finish. A mild car wash soap should be used; avoid using strong soaps or chemical detergents.
2. Wash your Xedos vehicle by hand, using plenty of water and a mild car wash soap. When using an automatic car wash, choose one without excessive brush pressure, and an ample supply of flnse waler.
3. Wash away the detergent using plenty of clean water. The water used for washing and rinsing should be cold or lukewarm.
4. To help protect your vehicle from rust and deterioration, wash it thoroughly and frequently (at least once a month), paying particular attention to the removal of any accumulation of salt, dirt, mud, or other materials, from the underside of the wings. Remove these completely from the underbody by using a stream of water. lf the mud is difficult to remove, use a mild soap or a car-washing detergent.
5. After soaping, rinse the vehicle with lukewarm or cold water. Do allow the soap to dry on the finish. In dition, the painted and bright metal terior surfaces of your vehicle should coated with a good quality wax.
CAUTION
Do not wash or wax in direct sun. Washing the vehicle should delayed if theMetaprogramming RubyDomain-Specific Languages for Programmers Metaprogramming • My definition: “programming your programming.” • Change the way you program in your programming language. • Transform your general -purpose language … • Make it a domain-specific language. • Program in a language designed for the problem you’re solving. isp • Metaprogramming seems to have originated in Lisp. Lisp is a programmable programming language. —John Foderaro In Lisp, you don’t just write your program down toward the language, you also build the language up toward your program. —Paul Graham • Lisp isn’t the only programmable language Ruby.
Rubyists have been rediscovering metaprogramming. • Ruby style and idioms are still changing and adapting. Rails leverages metaprogramming heavily. • To great effect! • Ruby is a natural for metaprogramming.
Download pdf Metaprogramming RubyGuide to Cataloging DVDs Using AACR2r Chapters 7 and 9This section provides a general overview of DVD technology. Topics covered include a brief history, a comparison of DVDs with compact disc (CD) technology, the different types of DVD that are currently available, and a glimpse at the future of DVDs.
History
DVDs were first developed in 1995 through a consortium of ten companies: Hitachi, JVC, Matsushita, Mitsubishi, Philips, Pioneer, Sony, Thomson, Time Warner, and Toshiba. These companies formed the DVD Consortium, which in April 1997 became the DVD Forum. The mission of the forum is to promote the worldwide acceptance of DVD products across the entertainment, consumer electronics and IT industries. In early 2000, membership in the DVD Forum reached some 230 companies and organizations that are engaged in DVD research, development and/or manufacturing. Although DVD once stood for “Digital Video Disc” or “Digital Versatile Disc,” DVD now simply stands for DVD.
DVD types
DVD-A (DVD-Audio) — Equivalent to an standard audio CD which uses Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) for recording sound, except that it holds some seven times the information of a regular CD.
DVD-V (DVD-Video) — What most people think of when referring to the DVD. Usually used to store video recordings.
DVD-R (DVD-Recordable) — A write-once data storage disc that is similar to CD-Rs. It can record around 4.7 gigabytes, and is used mainly for the archiving of information and the storage of video recordings.
DVD-RAM (DVD-Re-writable) — An erasable, re-recordable version of the DVD-ROM. Provides random access to its 4.7 gigabytes of recorded information, and is best suited for use in computers.Wireless G USB 2.0 Adapter Internet Camera with 3G Mobile VideoHardware Installation
A. First, connect the power adapter to the receptor at the back panel of the DI-724GU and then plug the other end of the power adapter to a wall outlet or power strip. The Power LED will turn ON to indicate proper operation.
B. 1. Power off your Cable or DSL modem; some devices may not have a on/off switch and will require you to unplug the power adapter. Now, the DI-724GU should be powered on and the Cable/DSL modem should be turned off.
2.Cable/DSLmodem(PowerOff)–DI-724GU(PowerOn)Connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet jack located on the Cable/DSL modem. After the Ethernet cable is securely connected, power on the Cable/DSL modem by turning on the unit or plugging in the power adapter.
3. Cable/DSL modem (Power On) – DI-724GU (Power On) Insert the other end of the Ethernet cable to the WAN PORT on the back panel of the DI-724GU. The WAN LED light will illuminate to indicate proper connection. If the WAN LED is not illuminated, please go back to step B1 and repeat the instructions.
C. Insert an Ethernet cable to LAN port 1 on the back panel of the DI-724GU and an available Ethernet port on the network adapter in the computer you will use to configure the DI-724GU. The LED light for LAN Port 1 will illuminate to indicate proper connection. Note: The LAN Ports on the DI-724GU are Auto-MDI/MDIX. Meaning you can use a straight-through or crossover Ethernet cable to the LAN Ports.

PCL allows a user to describe a tag layout to a printer. Also PCL allows a user to send multiple sets of information to a printer. These sets of information will be printed using either a tag layout that was sent to the printer using PCL or a tag layout that is stored on the printer.
A tag layout is known as a format. A format contains all the physical descriptions of a tag or label. These descriptions include tag size, sense mark position, field positions, field types, field sizes, etc..., everything the printer needs to know in order to build and print the tag or label. The formats can be sent to a printer using PCL just prior to the information that is to be printed or the formats can reside in the printer. If the formats reside in the printer then PCL is only needed to send the information that is to be printed.
The multiple sets of information are known as Batch Data or just Batches. Batches consist of character data sent to the printer in the order specified by the format. This information is plugged into the format and a tag is created. The number of tags to be printed using this information is known as the quantity. The quantity is also sent with the batch data.

The injection computer does not adjust the engine idle speed. ELECTRIC CORRECTION ACCORDING TO BATTERY VOLTAGE AND ELECTRIC POWER BALANCE The aim of this correction is to compensate for the drop in voltage due to operation of a power consuming component when the battery is at low charge. To achieve this, the idle speed is increased, which increases the speed of rotation of the alternator, and this increases the battery voltage. The lower the voltage, the more significant the correction. Correction of the engine speed is therefore variable. It begins when the voltage drops below 12.8 V.The idling speed may reach 900 rpm maximum.
Note: After a cold start and lengthy idling, a sudden drop in engine speed to approximately 150 rpm may be noticed. PETROL INJECTION Adaptive idle speed correction PRINCIPLE Under normal hot engine operating conditions, the idle speed Opening Cyclic Ratio signal value varies between a high value and a low value, so that the nominal idle speed is obtained. It is possible that during variations in the operation of the vehicle (running in, engine clogging, etc.), that the Opening Cyclic Ratio (OCR) could become close to the highest or lowest values. The adaptative correction on the idle Opening Cyclic Ratio allows the slow variations of the engine’sA Quick Microsoft Access 2000/2002 TutorialThis tutorial is intended for computer science students who need a quick introduction to Microsoft Access, but it will be useful to anyone needing such an introduction. To get the full benefit of this tutorial, you will need a computer running one of Microsoft Windows 95 or higher, Microsoft NT 4.0 or higher, or Microsoft Windows 2000. You will also need to have a copy of Microsoft Access 2000/2002 installed. Introduction Though Microsoft Access is NOT synonymous with database systems, there are more copies of Microsoft Access in use than any other database system.
It therefore behooves computer science students to be at least superficially familiar with MS Access. This tutorial will guide you through some of the basic point-and-click stuff, and will even show you how to issue complex SQL (Structured Query Language) queries. You will open the Northwind Microsoft sample database and query it in various ways. This is a HANDS ON tutorial; it gives you step-by-step directions for carrying out simple tasks in Access. As you read, you should have a copy of the Northwind database open in Microsoft Access 2000/2002, and you should carry out the tasks yourself, exactly as directed.
Download A Quick Microsoft Access 2000/2002 TutorialWriting CGI scripts in TclCGI scripts enable dynamic generation of HTML pages. This paper describes how to write CGI scripts using Tcl. Many people use Tcl for this purpose already but in an ad hoc way and without realizing many of the more non-obvious benefits. This paper reviews these benefits and provides a framework and examples. Canonical solutions to HTML quoting problems are presented. This paper also discusses using Tcl for the generation of different formats from the same document. As an example, FAQ generation in both text and HTML are described.
CGI scripts have many advantages over statically written HTML. For example, CGI scripts can automatically adapt to changes in the environment, such as the date in the previous example. CGI scripts can run programs, include and process data, and just about anything that can be done in traditional programs.
CGI scripts are particularly worthwhile in handling Web forms. Web forms allow users to enter data into a page and then send the results to a Web server for processing. The Web form itself does not have to be generated by a CGI script. However, data entered by a user may require a customized response. Therefore, a dynamically generated response via a CGI script is appropriate. Since the response may produce another form, it is common to generate forms dynamically as well as their responses.
