In a widely distributed environment, data is no more locally accessible and has thus to be remotely retrieved and stored. Efficient and reliable access to data sources and archiving destinations in such an environment brings new challenges. Placing data on temporary local storage devices offers many advantages, but such “data placements” also require careful management of storage resources and data movement, i.e. allocating storage space, staging-in of input data, staging-out of generated data, and de-allocation of local storage after the data is safely stored at the destination. Traditional systems closely couple data placement and computation, and consider data placement as a side effect of computation. Data placement is either embedded in the computation and causes the computation to delay, or performed as simple scripts which do not have the privileges of a job.
The insufficiency of the traditional systems and existing CPU-oriented schedulers in dealing with the complex data handling problem has yielded a new emerging era: the data-aware schedulers. One of the first examples of such schedulers is the Stork data placement scheduler. In this paper, we will discuss the limitations of the traditional schedulers in handling the challenging data scheduling problem of large scale distributed applications; give our vision for the new paradigm in data-intensive scheduling; and elaborate on our case study: the Stork data placement scheduler. Time required: 50 minutes
Tools required: 3 flat bladed screwdrivers, large, small and another in between. Best option would be a hot air gun, or a powerful hairdryer would work but will probably take longer.
Now heat the bonding with your hot air gun. I started from the right, Heat from about where the clip was and work your way right and down the side, don’t keep the gun in the same place for too long as you will melt the plastic. Once you feel the bonding is soft enough take your small screwdriver and scratch out all the softened bonding, don’t worry if it sticks to the glass it will come off easy later with a little rub. It dries and goes hard quite quickly so repeat the above till you have removed most of the bond.
Now from where the clip was work your way left across the top heating and scratching all the bond out just like your did previously, but do take your time, don’t rush anything.
Once you have removed most of the bond from the top and both sides, place your middle size screwdriver in the gap (again where about that clip was), and try to lever the glass away, but be gentle. If the display exceeds 85 Hz, the display will work properly but the “Not Optimum Mode”, “Recommended Mode 1680 X 1050 60 Hz” message appears for one minute and then disappears. Please change to the recommended mode during this one-minute period. Transactions between businesses require the sender and receiver to understand the message the same way. An XML-based purchase order in one company must be acceptable for another company. The main advantage of electronic communication is cost and time reduction. The greatest problem is that the companies use different information systems, which can‘t communicate with each other unless there is a kind of connection is established.
We developed prototype solution for Slovenian company Iskratel d.o.o. They use SAP R/3 Enterprise Resource Planning system for internal operations. At the faculty two groups of undergraduate students were established to carry out this project. One group represented the buyer‘s perspective and the other supplier‘s perspective. In our prototype these two groups exchanged purchase order and purchase order confirmation in the electronic form. Two different software, SAP R/3 system and Microsoft BizTalk Server, were used in the prototype. We tested three different possibilities for the connection between these two systems: SAP DCOM Connector, BizTalk Adapter for SAP and SAP Business Connector.
The interaction between systems can be established in two ways. Firstly, the SAP R/3 system is possible to be initiator. The new document is thus created in SAP R/3 system and immediately sent to the other system (in our case to BizTalk Server). Secondly, the client can be the initiator. Client checks in its partner‘s system (SAP R/3) if there is a document waiting. In our prototype, the second choice was used.
