As a presenter, you can record audience feedback, make notes, add diagrams and save your work directly into your PowerPoint file or into Notebook™ software.
Before You Start
Before you begin your presentation, ensure your computer is turned on and the SMART Board interactive whiteboard is connected and oriented. The SMART Board icon should be visible in the Windows Notification Area at the bottom right of your screen, indicating that your SMART Board software is running. If the SMART Board icon is not visible, select Start > Programs > SMART Board Software > SMART Board Tools. The SMART Board icon will appear in the Windows Notification Area.
This Hands-On Practice assumes you have a basic understanding of the Microsoft Windows® operating system. You may find it useful to think of how you normally work with a computer as you go through the lesson. When working at your computer, for example, you use left-, right- or double-clicks, depending on the function you want to perform. Use the SMART Board interactive whiteboard in the same way. If you get confused, simply think about what you would do at your computer, and then replicate these actions on the interactive whiteboard.

Our clients include publishers, mainstream media, and technology firms young and old. Both of our firms contain experienced marketing professionals, but when it comes to ‘Web 2.0,’ we must confess a certain scepticism… On Saturday November 4th, The Guardian’s ‘Weekend’ magazine was devoted entirely to the hottest media and technology property on the planet – Web 2.0. Hot? It has to be! Google just paid $1.65 billion USD for YouTube. It’s clear that the Internet is back in vogue, which is a very good thing, but the notion of ‘Web 2.0’ sits a little uneasily with us.
You see, nobody told us what ‘Web 1.0’ was about, and we’re also a little miffed that we only got to hear about it after it was pronounced dead. Also, ‘Web 2.0’ seems a little woolly – we’re having a hard time figuring out what it’s about, let alone what we need to do with it. (It seems like silly season for the techno-evangelist club once again!) So we’re just plain unsure. How much of a distinct property is ‘Web 2.0’? And as communicators, to what extent do we need to accommodate the existence of a trillion blogs, a million mashups and a bazillion web sites with curved edges and drop shadows? Is RSS the new SMS? SOA the new Siebel? LinkedIn the new Excite@home? Is Bloglines the new grapevine? Will IPTV replace ITV? ……or are we just blowing bubblesSorin's Network AnimatorThe SNMP protocol was introduced in 1988. Overtime security had been added (1991-1992). Also several version improved versions have been published (SNMPv2[1] and SNMPv3[4]) The goal is to allow automation of network management by establishing a standard protocol supported by all network devices for configuration and monitoring.
Using SNMP enabled devices network administrators can automate the tedious and error prone task of changing the configuration of the network by using an administration interface which in turn will automatically re-configure each device on the network using SNMP. By having a unified protocol a single administration application can manage an entire network of heterogeneous devices.
Another use of SNMP is to monitor the state of the network. The protocol defines a special message called a trap that triggers an agent governing a device to send an event stream back to the administrator. Management applications can periodically pool the devices to obtain an up-to-date overview over the network.
There are project existing [2] that facilitate the conversion of SNMP traces into formats that can be easily displayed. However, the user interface of the tools is either incomplete or not very well suited for the task at hand. The python converter presented converts SNMP and flow traces into a network animator file that can be viewed using the network animator(NAM). While the basic task of seeing the interaction dynamics is accomplished NAM does a very pour job at graph layout. Conversely the analyser based on JUNG does a very good job for the layout, but it doesZ-FI Mapper V1.22 Installation InstructionsEach Z-Fi is supplied with a USB cable and easy to use Z-Fi Mapper Software. This sophisticated program is designed for experienced tuners. With just a laptop, a tuner can make tuning adjustments for any of our products either at the track or on the dyno.
Using the Z-Fi Mapper on the bike
1) Plug your computer into the Z-Fi unit with the supplied USB cable
2) Turn the power to the vehicle on
3) Start the Bazzaz Z-Fi Mapper program (ProgramFilesBazzazPerformanceZ-Fi Mapper)
4) The Z-Fi Mapper software should automatically connect to the Z-Fi unit.
5) Make and save changes according to the instructions on the next few pages
6) Be Sure to EXIT the Z-Fi Mapper program before turning OFF the power to the bike. Tuning the power to the bike OFF before exiting the program may cause your laptop to lockup.
7) You can create maps when you are away from the bike or when the bike is powered down by choosing the “Work Offline” option when prompted.
8) Note that some of the TABS of the Z-Fi Mapper software may not be available to view, based on the type of Z-Fi unit that you purchased. For instance, you can’t access the Traction Control Screen if you did not purchase a Z-Fi TC unit. Similarly you can’t access the Self Mapping screen unless you are plugged into the bike and you have a Z-AFM unit installed.

Perceptions in these communities of what the Semantic Web is (and who is involved in it) are often misinformed if not misguided. In this paper we identify opportunities for Semantic Web activities to connect with the Web 2.0 community; we explore why this connection is of significant benefit to both groups, and identify how these connections open valuable research opportunities “in the real” for the Semantic Web effort.
In a recent blog entry on the tech-savvy O’Reilly site, the author queries “Is Web 2.0 killing the Semantic Web?” By way of background, Web 2.0 is elsewhere on O’Reilly described as a service delivered through the Web in a Web way, delivering a “rich user experience” [ref]. Exemplars offered are BitTorrent, Google and Blogs.
The blog writer who asks about Web 2.0 killing the Semantic Web sets his argument as Web 2.0’s instant superficial gratification of people vs the Semantic Web’s deep, meaningful and lasting relationship with data. Web 2.0, he says, is indifferent to technology and just wants to “’give power to the people’, quickly and efficiently” for superficial things like sharing files, opinions and photos. The author then goes on to state that the Semantic Web “is the polar opposite” being all about data and machine readability of that data and “sav[ing] lives.” It is because of Web 2.0’sAdding a New Language to VB .NET Globalization - Making the Case for the Kurdish LanguageDeveloping programs for multiple languages used to be long and daunting tasks. Changing a program so it can be used in another language used to involve making major adjustments to the original program and sometimes used to require writing a totally different program for the new language. For example, developing a program in English and then changing it so it could be used in Arabic would take making major modifications to the original code, adding routines and introducing new tools to make the changes.
The introduction of Visual Studio .NET has changed that drastically. Application developers can write programs in one language (say English) and then with minimum recoding, the programmers can adjust them so they could be displayed in another language (like Arabic). Processing of such changes is helped through the use of a list of languages supported in VS .NET (Finch, 2005). In other words, making modifications from one language to another is made easier because of a list of classes and routines for languages that are supported in VS .NET. However, this list of languages in VS .NET is incomplete and is missing many languages.

This paper gives a comprehensive introduction to C#, but before we start it is necessary to outline some of the .NET concepts that will underpin the discussion in this paper. C# is part of the .NET Common Language Infrastructure (CLI). The CLI is a framework that enables the multiple .NET languages to talk to each other, and is specifically designed for strongly types languages.
The CLI is comprised of the Common Intermediate Language (CIL) – a common machine independent language into which all .NET applications are “compiled”, the Common Type System (CTS) – a set of types that can be used interchangeably between the .NET languages, and the Virtual Execution System (VES) – which just-in-time compiles the CIL into native assembly code. The complete set of rules that enable all .NET language to talk to each other is called the Common Language System (CLS).
A compiled C# program also contains a block of metadata (data about the program itself) called a manifest. This metadata allows reflection and effectively eliminates the need for the registry.
