MySQL MagazineSQLYog Enterprise Edition Version 6.55 Review
This software is one of the most popular GUI-based tools for MySQL. Most of the features of the software are geared to help the daily work of DBAs and developers. The software is rich in features and therefore this review will only highlight some of the cool capabilities.
Connection to Remote Servers
Most companies require you to use the ssh protocol to access their servers. While it is easy to setup your own ssh tunnel to connect to your remote database, it is quite cumbersome to do that. SQLYog allows you to easily do this and lets you save your secure MySQL connection. I use this all the time and I do not even think about ssh tunneling anymore.
On the downside, when I tried to connect to another database, the software opened a separate window for me. This made it difficult for me to switch from one window to another. This can be annoying if you want to compare two databases but it could also be a security measure so that you do not accidentally apply the wrong SQL statements to the wrong database.

1. Remove a-pillar trim by locating upper seam and prying outward. Use clean hands and avoid using any type of tool to pry. Once a small opening is created at the pillar top, use some force to release the 4 plastic mounting clips. With a-pillar cover pulled out, lift upwards and remove completely.
2. On a clean surface, lay out gauge pod and a-pillar trim. There will be a faint imprint on the a-pillar trim outlining the top of the dashboard. The bottom (plastic) edge of the gauge pod should be positioned to follow this line and rest on the dashboard. The dashed line in the drawing below represents the top of the dashboard.
3. Line edges up and wrap the fabric tabs over the a-pillar trim. Use sharp scissors to precisely notch the tabs where any protrusions of the pillar trim exist. Use masking tape to secure fabric tabs during test fitment. With gauge pod positioned, test fit the assembled gauge pod and a-pillar trim to check fitment. Adjust as required.
4. Once you have the pod positioned correctly, begin to mark the a-pillar trim for drilling.* See diagrams below for approximate positioning of the hole to be drilled. The hole should be at least 3/8” in diameter to accommodate tubing and wiring. The position of the hole should be such that the tubing can easily route from the gauge without any sharp bends.RICOH Printing Systems DDP Server User's GuideThe DDP Server is essentially controlled from the network. Nonetheless, two control lights are provided on an operator panel at the front. They are useful to control the basic operation of the DDP Server. The operator panel also contains the standby button for switching the DDP Server on or off. For saving energy while the DDP Server is not used, DDP Server provides an additional power switch at the rear.
Furthermore, a small button is provided at the rear for special functions. This is only needed for setup and maintenance purposes.
The elements on the front side have the following functions:
• Standby button: This button allows you to power on or shut down the DDP Server.
To power on or shut down the DDP Server, press this button shortly. A regular shut down includes closing the job and queue database. When the DDP Server is running, you may force power down by holding the standby button for more than 4 seconds. However, you should force power-down only if the DDP Server does not react otherwise, as in this way the database is not closed and loss of the stored data may result. For the same reason, do not switch off the DDP Server by means of the power switch at the rear before performing a regular shutdown using the standby button.
• READY control light (green) with the following meanings:
Constant – DDP Server is idle
Blinking – DDP Server is busy
• ERROR control light (yellow) with the following meanings:
Constant – data transfer to printer

Computer Aided Design involves both software applications, ranging from 2-dimensional vector-based drafting tools through to highly sophisticated 3D modelling systems, and specialist hardware tools including ‘wide-format’ print systems.
For some years now CAD systems have been replacing the traditional manual drawing and design process, allowing designers to work completely in the electronic realm. Highly sophisticated CAD software enables designers to make changes and see the effects in real time, allowing problems to be identified and rectified in the virtual realm before the design is committed to production, thus reducing significantly the time and cost of development. ‘Wide format’ printing
Although with the advent of CAD systems the design cycle is now largely electronic rather than paper based, the ability to effectively print electronic drawings onto ‘wide format’ paper (i.e. paper up to 36”or 841 mm wide) is still a vital factor. Paper prints are still the norm for checking, approval and sign-off of designs and plans; also the architectural, construction, manufacturing and engineering industries are still absolutely reliant on paper drawings at the point of use – and will remain so for the foreseeable future.
With the shift from paper to electronic design in recent years, the nature of ‘wide format’ reprographics has changed radically. Analogue wide format copiers, traditionally used to reproduce manually created drawings, have been replaced with a range ofBuilding Loyalty in a Web 2.0 WorldOver the last decade, a radical shift has occurred in the way customers interact with the marketplace. The traditional mode of using defined channels of communication has given way to a broad array of connection points.Along with this shift, today’s customers have come to expect a higher degree of transparency from firms providing products upon which they rely. Companies that are unsure how to engage in the new paradigm often meet this expectation of transparency with mixed signals. As traditional channels erode, and a broader community ecosystem emerges, companies must rethink their loyalty equation by understanding how to engage in the new environment.
The new environment can drive even higher degrees of loyalty through enhanced customer involvement in many crucial aspects of an organization, including customer support, product management and engineering and marketing. Forward thinking companies realize that engaging in this new ‘web 2.0’ world requires more than just enabling new channels of communication, it requires a set of powerful tools to coordinate and manage every relevant interaction while providing intelligent feedback to all participants.Architected to enable this new paradigm, a trusted knowledge management suite can serve as a core technology that drives better interactions with your customer ecosystem by building a collaborative environment in which insights, ideas and knowledge can be shared to the benefit of all. Ultimately, this vibrant knowledge sharing leads to greater customer satisfaction and increased loyalty.
The role of the customer evolves
For decades, the support and marketing relationship between a company and its customers was well defined. A key feature that arguably contributed to Facebook’s unprecedented success is its application platform, which enables the development of third-party social-networking applications. Understanding how these applications are installed and used is important for the function and utility of web-based online social networks, e.g. to better engineer them and/or to design advertising campaigns.
In this paper, we characterize the popularity and user reach of Facebook applications. We analyze application usage data gathered over a period of six months from Facebook and Adonomics - a Facebook analytics service. We also crawl publicly accessible Facebook user profiles and obtain per-user application installation statistics, for approximately 300K users and 13.6K applications. Our findings include that (i) the popularity of Facebook applications has a highly skewed distribution; (ii) although the total number of application installations increases with time, the average user activity decreases; and (iii) users with more applications installed are more likely to install new applications.
Web-based Online Social Networks (OSN), such as MySpace and Facebook (FB), are quickly emerging as a new Internet killer- application. We can view OSNs as natural extensions of Inter- net applications that establish relationships between users, such as email and IM. However, unlike those applications, OSNs not only facilitate direct communication between users but also allow them to post content that revolves around their profiles creating online personas that typically map to their real life personalities. In addition, OSNs explicitly expose a user’s social contacts, enabling users to browse eachMac OS X Hacks 100 Industrial-Strength Tips & ToolsYou’re on a plane and desperately need to pass a file to (or play Quake against) your coworker. And you’re fresh out of CDs, or you’d simply burn one and pass it across. Oh, and she’s running Windows. If you have an Ethernet cable handy, you can plug one end into the Ethernet jack of each of your machines, open your System Preferences Network pane, and select Built-in Ethernet from the Show pull-down menu.
