  • Guide to using the Amazon Inventory Management API
  • The Amazon Inventory Management (AIM) API provides a secure and automated method to upload inventory and manage orders on Amazon.com Marketplace, zShops and Seller Central. This guide provides a detailed description of this API. Amazon Inventory Management API provides a secure and automated method to upload inventory and manage orders on Amazon.com Marketplace, or on Seller Central for upgraded accounts. Sellers can use the API to execute the following operations: • Upload Inventory • Generate and download Order Reports • Issue Bulk Refunds • Generate and download Open Listings Reports • Query status of uploads and reports These APIs can be accessed by using HTTPS POST requests and the results are returned as XML responses. The APIs are available via a standard HTTPS interface and utilize the underlying SSL protocol for secure transmission of data. The identity of the seller will be verified using the HTTP Basic Authentication Scheme. The seller will provide his or her e-mail address and password in the HTTPS header, encoded using base64. For example, the user name "Aladdin" and password "open sesame" would be combined as "Aladdin:open sesame" – which is equivalent to QWxhZGRpbjpvcGVuIHNlc2FtZQ== when encoded in base-64 [7 bit]. This is provided as an HTTP header that looks like the following: Authorization: Basic QWxhZGRpbjpvcGVuIHNlc2FtZQ== Download pdf Guide to using the Amazon Inventory Management API

  • Programmer's Guide to the Java 2D - API Enhanced Graphics and Imaging for Java
  • The Java 2D™ API enhances the graphics, text, and imaging capabilities of the Abstract Windowing Toolkit (AWT), enabling the development of richer user interfaces and new types of Java™ applications. Along with these richer graphics, font, and image APIs, the Java 2D API supports enhanced color definition and composition, hit detection on arbitrary geometric shapes and text, and a uniform rendering model for printers and display devices. The Java 2D API also enables the creation of advanced graphics libraries, such as CAD-CAM libraries and graphics or imaging special effects libraries, as well as the creation of image and graphic file read/write filters. When used in conjunction with the Java Media Framework and other Java Media APIs, the Java 2D APIs can be used to create and display animations and other multimedia presentations. The Java Animation and Java Media Framework APIs rely on the Java 2D API for rendering support. Enhanced Graphics, Text, and Imaging Early versions of the AWT provided a simple rendering package suitable for rendering common HTML pages, but not full-featured enough for complex graphics, text, or imaging. As a simplified rendering package, the early AWT embodied specific cases of more general rendering concepts. The Java 2D™ API provides a more flexible, full-featured rendering package by expanding the AWT to support more general graphics and rendering operations. For example, through the Graphics class you can draw rectangles, ovals, and polygons. Graphics2D enhances the concept of geometric rendering by providing a mechanism for rendering virtually any geometric shape. Similarly, with the Java 2D
  • WebDrive User Guide
  • The creation of electronic data in the form of web pages, text documents, spreadsheets, and graphics has grown significantly in the past decade. Because of this growth the complexity of managing, accessing, and collaborating on electronic data has also grown. Secure access over the Internet has become essential for sharing files with team members in the next office or around the world. WebDrive® offers users secure file access and collaboration. WebDrive uses industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and SFTP to ensure secure transmission of your files. WebDrive® can provide S/Key password encryption so that passwords cannot be read during transmission. WebDrive supports WebDAV protocol, which allows you to lock files, change the files, and then release the locks to allow other users to review and update the information. WebDrive allows you to connect to a GroupDrive® , FTP, WebDAV (DAV), SFTP, Amazon-S3®, or FrontPage® Server using a LAN or Internet connection and to map a Network Drive to the server. You can then treat the server as if it were a hard disk on your system. Drag and drop files or copy files to and from the server using Windows Explorer; or use familiar DOS commands such as copy and xcopy. WebDrive FTP or HTTP enables any application instantly by integrating the server site into the Windows file system. Download pdf WebDrive User Guide
  • A Project-Based Approach to Programming Language Evaluation
  • Answers to Which programming language is the best?" can ignite fierce arguments among zealots who see no reason for any language other than the one they use. Fortunately, most programmers do not hold such extreme opinions, and often would like to see a rational evaluation of different languages from which they can draw their own opinions. Many researchers have proposed methods for comparing and evaluating languages 2, 9, 10], but they tend to focus more on the languages than on the needs of language users. Although languages are intrinsically worthy of study, their real purpose is as tools in problem solving. Users do need to know the strengths and deficiencies inherent in a language, and how well a language applies to an application domain. But, even within an application domain, requirements for two distinct projects may vary widely. One product may have to be highly reliable and portable, while another may have to be extremely efficient. Thus, knowing how well a language supports an application domain may not su ce we also need to know how well a language supports the needs of particular projects within a domain. We need to be able to evaluate languages for their applicability to a specific project. This paper proposes a language evaluation method with just that focus. In the following sections, we review major categories of programming language evaluation criteria, and propose an evaluation scheme that could help software developers determine the best language for their particular task. Finally, we reflect on the significance of

  • Volocity User's Guide
  • Volocity is an innovative, high-performance imaging system for interactive, time-resolved volume visualization. Volocity is the first, multi-color 4D rendering system designed for biomedical imaging. It allows the scientist to visualize and, for the first time, explore 3D volumes over time. Using new, highly advanced algorithms, and taking full advantage of the powerful Mac and PC hardware, Volocity provides interactive rendering that is incredibly fast. Exploration of time-resolved, color 3D volumes provides the scientist with unique information that is difficult to obtain by any other means. Volocity consists of a core product, Volocity LE, which is free of charge, and three optional extensions, which must be purchased: Volocity Visualization, Volocity Classification and Volocity Restoration. Volocity LE Volocity LE is the core of the modular Volocity system and is available for scientists to download from the Improvision web site without charge. Volocity LE is designed for 2D, 3D and 4D imaging and enables the user to import image sequences from confocal and wide field microscopes and then enhance, process and display 3D slices at selected time points. Volocity Visualization Volocity Visualization provides an extensive range of visualization and publication features. The Volocity 3D view enables the user to interactively explore a 3D rendered object. The user can, in real time, rotate, zoom and animate the 3D object whilst simultaneously varying the contribution and rendering mode for each channel. The user can also position the viewing point either outside or inside the 3D object, and then watch as structures change and develop over time. Volocity Visualization also includes the
