  • 3D Blaster RIVA TNT2 PCI Installation Guide
  • The 3D Blaster ® RIVA TNT2™ PCI is a high quality 2D/3D/video graphics accelerator card that is well suited for a wide variety of applications ranging from everyday desktop use to gaming and entertainment. Leveraging the RIVA TNT2 M64 graphics controller from NVIDIA ®, the 3D Blaster RIVA TNT2 PCI delivers high quality and performance. Its dual texture architecture can process 2 pixels or textures per clock cycle; this enables developers to create special effects such as multi-layered textures, bump mapping to simulate rough surfaces, and environmental mapping that gives objects reflective properties. Developers can take advantage of advanced filtering modes (including trilinear mipmapping and anisotropic filtering) with full scene anti-aliasing to create realistic images that rival more expensive graphics workstations. The 3D Blaster RIVA TNT2 PCI provides outstanding 2D and video acceleration as well and also supports software DVD decoders through hardware color and pixel format conversion. Your card’s model and serial numbers can be found at the back of the card. We recommend that you record the model and serial number below. This information will be useful in the event that you need to contact our Technical Support staff for troubleshooting or your dealer for warranty service. • PolyTrans for Maya PDF Tutorial
  • PolyTrans-for-Maya is a premiere plug-in system for Maya (Windows) that allows Maya to freely exchange complete 3D scene data with virtually any other 3D software package, such as 3DS MAX (via PolyTrans-for-Maya and Okino .bdf format), Lightwave, OpenFlight, Softimage-3D, Softimage-XSI, IGES 5.3, ACIS SAT, Autodesk Inventor, DirectX, DXF/DWG (with ACIS solids in DWG files), Parasolids, Pro/Engineer, QuickDraw-3D, Renderman RIB, Solid Edge, Solid Works, STEP, trueSpace and many, many others. PolyTrans-for-Maya has become one of Okino’s most popular, specialized plug-in converter systems since it adds a lot of new functionality to the Maya software package itself. It also forms a natural and well refined pipeline between Maya and 3DS MAX via the mirror twin ‘PolyTrans-for-Maya’ and ‘PolyTrans-for-3DSMAX’ native plug-in modules. PolyTrans-for-Maya breaks down all previous data translation barriers and truly makes Maya a universally open software package. In the tradition of all Okino 3D data translators, resulting translated files are ‘Render Ready’ meaning that they can be loaded and rendered in the destination program (Maya, Softimage- 3D/XSI, 3DS MAX, Lightwave, etc.) with little or no changes necessary. • AutoCAD 2008 Second Level: 3D Modeling Tutorial
  • 3D Surface Modeling Although all three commands can be used to create planar surfaces, the resulting surfaces are not equal. In fact, the three commands are developed for specific tasks in mind. The 2D Solid command is mostly used in 2D drawings to create 2D filled area and the Region command is designed so that general 2D shapes can be easily transformed into solid models. The 3D Face command is the only one that is designed specifically for surface modeling and therefore it is the most suitable for such tasks. The use of the 2D Solid and Region commands in 3D surface modeling can be somewhat awkward and at times very difficult. Note that the use of the Region command will be focused on in the solid modeling chapters of this text. As one can imagine, sketching each surface manually can be very time consuming and tedious. AutoCAD also provides additional tools for more advanced surface modeling, such as Tabulated surfaces, Ruled surfaces and Revolved surfaces. These tools are basically automated procedures, which can be used to define and create multiple copies of planar surfaces in specific directions. The principles and concepts used by these tools are also used in creating solid models, which are covered in chapter six through chapter eight of this text. You are encouraged to re-examine these commands after you have finished the solid modeling chapters. In this chapter, the general procedures to create surface models are illustrated. The use of the 2D Solid and 3D Face
  • Aspira - How to update users or client data
  • The ASPIRA Association web site provides its users the capability to create “virtual communities” which allows interaction among like-minded individuals. The building block for establishing this interactivity are called “groups”. What are groups and what function they have? Groups are a collection of users who can share access to protected resources and tools. A group enables users with permissions (ASPIRA Staff members) to create and manage their own groups. ASPIRA Official groups are created by the webmaster, which has special permissions including the ability to delete the group the owner created. Group members or subscribers communicate amongst themselves using the group home page as a focal point. They do so by posting the usual content types: blog, story, web page, etc.; or by communicating via e-mail, chats, and they can also share documents. A block or menu is shown on the group home page that links to these group specific posts and actions. The block also provides summary information about the group. Groups membership may be selective or not. ASPIRA official groups are selective groups which require approval by the group administrator in order to become a member. This feature makes our groups and our members to interact on a safe environment. In order to allow an individual to belong “subscribe” to a group is by inserting a group code on his/her registration profile. ASPIRA groups are private groups which will not be displayed in a list of groups which can be viewed by non-ASPIRA members. As the group administrator you can: administer organic group

  • Freely Annotating C# pdf
  • Reflective programming is becoming popular due to the increasing set of dynamic services provided by execution environments like JVM and CLR. With custom attributes Microsoft introduced an extensible model of reflection for CLR: they can be used as additional decorations on element declarations. The same notion has been introduced in Java 1.5. The annotation model, both in Java and in C#, limits annotations to classes and class members. In this paper we describe C# a, an extension of the C# programming language, that allows programmers to annotate statements and code blocks and retrieve these annotations at run-time. We show how this extension can be reduced to the existing model. A set of operations on annotated code blocks to retrieve annotations and manipulate bytecode is introduced. We also discuss how to use C# to annotate programs giving hints on how to parallelize a sequential method and how it can be implemented by means of the abstractions provided by the run-time of the language. Finally, we show how our model for custom attributes has been realized. Reflection and dynamic loading are becoming essential elements of modern programs. Their usefulness is testified, for example, by the JDBC architecture that shows how to implement a driver-based architecture exploiting the Java dynamic loading. Although reflection can be used to inspect the structure of types, to access fields and even to invoke methods dynamically, the concept of tagging has been anticipated as an interesting application. Consider for instance the Java serialization architecture: the programmer can declare the instances
