  • A + CAL User’s Manual P-Syntax Version
  • This is an instruction manual for Version 1.1 of the p-syntax version of the + cal algorithm language. The following section, on page 3, explains the difference between this syntax and the alternative c-syntax. Section 1 explains what an algorithm language is and why you’d want to use one. Section 2 tells you what you need to know to get started using + cal. After reading it, you’ll be able to write and check + cal algorithms. You can read the other parts of this manual as you need them. The table of contents and the index can help you find what you need. Pages 68–70 at the end, just before the index, contain a series of tables that summarize a lot of useful information. The rest of the manual is arranged in the order you’re likely to want to look at it: • Section 3 describes the things you’ll find in most programming language manuals, like the statements of the language. Once you’ve started writing + cal algorithms, you should browse this chapter to learn about features of + cal not mentioned in Section 2. • We run programs, but we check algorithms. Section 2 gets you started using the translator and TLC model checker to check + cal algorithms. Section 4 tells you more about the translator and TLC. It’s mostly about TLC, describing some of its additional features and how to use it to debug an algorithm. You should go to Section 4 if you don’t understand what the translator or
  • Apache POI - HWPF - Java API to Handle Microsoft Word Files
  • HWPF is the name of our port of the Microsoft Word 97(-2007) file format to pure Java. It does not support the new Word 2007 .docx file format, which is not OLE2 based. HWPF is still in early development. It is in the scratchpad section of the SVN. You will need to ensure you either have a recent SVN checkout, or a recent SVN nightly build (including the scratchpad jar!) Source in the org.apache.poi.hwpf.model tree is the old legacy code refactored into an object model. Source code in the org.apache.poi.hwpf.extractor tree is a wrapper of this to facilitate easy extraction of interesting things (eg the Text). Source code in the org.apache.poi.hdf tree is the old legacy code. At the moment we unfortunately do not have someone taking care for HWPF and fostering its development. What we need is someone to stand up, take this thing under his hood as his baby and push it forward. Ryan Ackley, who put a lot of effort into HWPF, is no longer on board, so HWPF is an orphan child waiting to be adopted. If you are interested in becoming the new HWPF pointman, you should look into the Microsoft Word internals. A good starting point seems to be Ryan Ackley's overview. This document contains a link to a detailled Word format description you can find somewhere at http://www.wotsit.org/. Please do not contact Ryan Ackley directly, because he is working for a company now that signed a NDA with Microsoft and thus he will be no longer

  • 1986-1992 Nissan Pickup Pathfinder 4X4 4” Suspension System Installation Instructions Kit
  • Before Starting Installation NOTE 9. Park vehicle on a clean, dry, flat, level surface and block tires so vehicle cannot roll in either direction. Kit parts are prefaced by the word kit and appear in bold print. 1. Carefully read all warnings and instructions completely before beginning. 2. Verify all parts have been received in this kit by checking the parts list at the end of this document. 3. This suspension system is designed to be used with wheels with a backspacing of 3-3/4” or less. Wheels with greater then 3-3/4” backspacing including some factory wheels will interfere with upper control arm and cause damage to OE parts and/or tires. Distance from hub mating surface of rim to the sidewall of tire can not exceed 4-1/2”. 4. Exhaust modification: a. Cross over pipe alteration is necessary to accommodate this suspension system on 6 cylinder models. b. Trail Master offers kit NX3O accessory to perform this modification. 5. This suspension system is not recommended on extended cab models with 2 piece driveshafts. 6. On 4 cylinder and some 6 cylinder models (with R180A front differential carrier) differential cover will contact lower control arm bracketry. On these vehicles, kit #8040 is required in addition to the suspension kit to reposition the front differential carrier. 7. Only install this kit on the vehicle for which it is specified. If anytime during the installation you encounter something different from what is outlined in the instructions, call technical support at (928) 636-3175. 8. Special tools
  • Cyberinfrastructure and Web 2.0
  • Cyberinfrastructure 1 and e-Science 1 are conventionally presented in terms of Grid technologies 2 3 that support remote access to computational science resources (such as supercomputers), distributed data management, networked instruments and similar technologies. Web Services are a key technology for realizing this vision 4 5. In contrast to these heavyweight approaches, however, many important innovations in network programming are emerging outside the (by now) traditional Web Services framework and are collectively known as Web 2.0 6. As we discuss in this chapter, these developments need to be tracked and incorporated into the e-Science vision. This chapter reviews some of the core Web 2.0 concepts by considering their impact on e-Science activities. For a related perspective on these issues, see 7. Web 2.0 is not a specific set of technologies and is best characterized as a movement towards network programming for everyone. The blurred distinction between a Web application and a Web tool (such as Google’s My Maps and Yahoo’s Pipes applications) means that even non-programmers can make sophisticated custom Web applications. In contrast to Web 2.0, the Enterprise-centric view of Web technologies holds that Web development is the domain of highly trained programmers working in very sophisticated development environments with complicated service interface and message specifications. Enterprise technologies are characterized by various Web software vendor efforts from Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Sun, HP, and others. Grid computing is closely aligned (through the Open Grid Forum 8, for example) with Enterprise computing. The numerous Web Service specifications (collectively known as WS-*) have formed
