Download PDFVeriSign Extended Validation SSL and Microsoft Internet Explorer 7World Wide Web’s secure backbone in over a decade
The CA/Browser Forum, a consortium of Certificate Authorities (CAs) and browser providers including VeriSign and Microsoft, recently created a new class of Web site identity authentication — the Extended Validation (EV) SSL Certificate standard. EV SSL Certificates require Web sites to pass a stricter identity verification process than required by traditional SSL Certificates. These new certificates also trigger a more noticeable secure user interface in the latest high-security browsers for visitors to Web sites with an EV SSL Certificate. The address bar in Microsoft IE7 turns a highly visible green color to immediately signal the presence of identity information. A field on the right of the address bar toggles between the name of the Web site organisation and the issuing CA, such as VeriSign.
The combination of rigorous vetting and the highly visible “green bar” interface should inspire a higher level of consumer confidence in the trustworthiness of a Web site — confidence that has eroded over time due to the dramatic increase in phishing attacks. Web sites with EV SSL Certificates are expected to see an increase in the number of transactions completed by consumers as a direct result of this increased level of confidence.
• Increases consumer confidence and trust
• Higher online transaction completion rate
• Competitive advantage versus sites without EV
• Strong defense against phishing attacks
Features
• Very visible “green bar” interface immediately identifies your site
• Security status bar displays your organisation name and your trusted CA
• Highest industry standard for identity authentication
•Moving Your COBOL Assets to Microsoft .NET: Fujitsu NetCOBOL for .NETUsing the Web as a distributed computing platform helps extend the reach and value of corporate computing assets by improving access to information and services for customers and partners regardless of where they are.Through this path, companies can more flexibly deliver compelling service, but the real value comes when web initiatives complement an existing technology infrastructure and lower the cost of maintaining those legacy environments. For the future success of web development and delivery of services, enterprises must focus on simplified integration with existing IT assets to improve overall interoperability while keeping total cost of ownership low. This focus on leveraging the current technical assets and developer resources drives savings and extends the value locked up in core legacy transaction systems.
One of the barriers that companies face in moving their legacy assets into their web-based development initiatives is the expense associated with migrating applications. The first step, then,is to evaluate options so that they can make a sound business decision. This white paper outlines the options available on the market and discusses a new solution — Fujitsu Software’s NetCOBOL for .NET — and its approach to moving COBOL assets over to Microsoft’s .NET platform.

This tool enables non-programmers to build computational and visualization networks interactively. Computational nodes can be placed onto a canvas and their input and output ports can be connected using the mouse. The connections between the nodes define a directed graph that will be used to propagate data and trigger the execution of nodes that have new input data. ViPEr is, in appearance, similar to programs such as AVS [Upson et al. 89] from Advanced Visual Simulations Inc, or OpenDX [DX 93] from IBM, but presents some fundamental differences which will be pointed out throughout this paper. Several examples of applications will be used to illustrate ViPEr’s design and current range of capabilities.
The focus of our laboratory is the modelisation of molecular interactions. We are working on several aspects of this problem, including molecular visualization, protein-ligand docking, protein- protein docking, molecular surfaces, phenomenological potentials, etc. The methods we use in our models come from fields as diverse as computational chemistry and biology, computational geometry and augmented reality. We have been using Python as a platform to develop re-usable and inter- operable components dealing with different aspects of structural bioinformatics [Sanner 99a, Coon et al. 01, Python at TSRI]. These components are the basic building blocks from which several domain specific applications have been developed. These include a generic molecule visualization program (PMV [Sanner 99a, Coon et al. 01]), a viewer for volumetric data (PVV) and a graphical userGetting Started With MX BreadcrumbsIn the Getting Started with MX Breadcrumbs tutorial, you will learn how to use MX Breadcrumbs for quickly inserting breadcrumbs in your site pages. Beginning with the files in your installation package, you will understand what MX Breadcrumbs is, how it works, and what you can do with it. Although much of the tutorial and sample site were done in PHP, the ColdFusion and ASP steps are nearly identical. The primary difference is in the database configuration and connection sections, where separate instructions are provided.
MX Breadcrumbs is a Dreamweaver MX extension that allows developers to create dynamic breadcrumbs in their web sites. It will actually create a directory index displaying the database information in an hierarchical manner. This is a simple extension that includes a Command and an Advanced Breadcrumbs Recordset. MX Breadcrumbs supports PHP_ADODB, PHP_MySQL, ColdFusion and ASP_VBScript server models. System administration is all the things that one has to do to keep a computer system in a useable shape. It Includes things like backing up files and restoring , installing new programs, creating accounts for users, making certain that the filesystem is not corrupted, and so on. There is no one official Linux distribution, so different people have different setups, and many people have a setup they have built up themselves.
This book is not targeted at any one distribution, even though I use Red Hat Linux 8 and 9 the contents can be applied to any distribution. Many people have helped me with this book, directly or indirectly. I would like to especially thank my own brother Dilan Kalpa De Silva, Luckshika Jayadeva for her excellent type-setting, my ever loving mother, two sisters and my aunt Mallika Vitharana.
Download Linux Guide Step by Step Tutorial pdfMeasuring web 2.0 Technologies with webTrends Marketing labWeb 2.0 continues to play an increasingly important role in online business today as consumers look for a new and more engaging online experience and increased flexibility in how they interact with businesses online. In the business brief Measuring Web 2.0 with WebTrends Marketing Lab, Part 1: RIA and RSS Up Close, we demonstrated how to measure Web 2.0 technologies like Rich Internet Applications (RIA)—including AJAX and Flash—to improve the user experience. We also showed that measuring the effectiveness of Real Simple Syndication (RSS) can ensure that you successfully extend the reach of your web content.
Our discussion of Web 2.0 wouldn’t be complete without addressing broadcast media, which is a market that’s emerging as an increasingly important content distribution channel. As an example, a recent eMarketer survey showed that more than one-third of the total US population viewed video at least monthly during 2006, and in three years, more than half of all Americans will be part of the online video audience. In this guide, we’ll examine the challenges marketers face when leveraging broadcast media technologies such as online video and mobile media to drive customer engagement and build brand loyalty. We’ll also focus on best practices for measuring and optimizing these technologies.
Business Challenges
Consumers have taken control over their online experience. It’s the consumer who dictates when, where and how they engage with your company. Marketing WebTrends departments are responding to this shift by investing more in Web 2.0 technologies to provide more choices and more media channels.

More and more are we seeing products of multimedia technology that includes 3D Animations. The creative and economical use of 3D animation can be evidenced in many of the released animated features like games or movies. Backgrounds, camera moves, crowd scenes, and machines of all descriptions have been modeled and animated digitally. 3D companies are striving to improve the entertainment value of their products. The images created with these tools will become more and more sophisticated with each passing year.
In this paper, two of the newest 3D Animation Software will be discussed and compared. One of the software is named Poser, and the other one is Maya.
Poser 5 is the ultimate 3D-character design and animation tool for artists and animators. It allows animators to create 3D figures by using a diverse collection of ready-to-use 3D human and animal models. Poser’s innovative interface makes figure design, posing, and animating fast and easy. This product is innovated by Curious Labs, Inc.
