Both GSM modem and standard modem can be used at PLC side. The modem used at PLC side (Remote Modem) must be able to save configuration to modem’s non-volatile memory. Since the transfer syntax for sending messages to objects is strictly defined, it is possible to exchange requests and replies between processes running program written in arbitrary programming languages and hosted on arbitrary hardware and operating systems. Interfaces to remote objects are described declaratively in an programming language-independent Interface Definition Language (IDL), which can be used to automatically generate language-specific stub code.
It is important to stress that:
• CORBA objects are abstract entities seen by clients and represented by artifacts in potentially arbitrary, even non-OO languages. These artifacts are called servants in CORBA terminology.
• CORBA objects achieve location transparency, i.e., clients need not be (and generally are not) aware of the actual target hosts where servants reside. However, complete distribution transparency is not achieved in the sense that clients would not notice a difference between a local function call and a remote CORBA invocation. This is due to factors such as increased latency, network error conditions, and CORBA-specific initialization code in applications, and data type mappings.

a) Make sure vehicle is parked on a level surface.
b) Set parking brake.
c) Jack the front of the vehicle and support with properly rated jack stands.
d) Lift the plastic battery cover and disconnect both battery terminals. Remove the short positive lead from the positive battery terminal. (Fig. 1)
e) If engine has run within the past two hours let it cool down.
2) Removing the stock air inlet system
a) Swing the fuse box on top of the battery upwards and remove the hinge from the plastic battery box.
b) Remove the four screws along the top of the radiator support. (Fig. 2) Remove the two plastic covers.
c) Remove the battery hold down bolt and remove the battery from the vehicle. (Fig. 3)
d) Remove the three bolts that secure the plastic battery box in place. Two bolts are located at the rear of the battery, on either side of the plastic wire tunnel. The third bolt is located on the radiator side of the battery. (Fig. 4)
e) Unlatch the plastic wire tunnel cover on the backside of the battery box. (Fig. 5) Swing the cover open and remove the wire harness for the plastic battery box.
f) Remove the plastic battery tray from the vehicle by removing the four bolts that secure it. (Fig. 6)
g) Unplug the wire connector from the MAF sensor. (Fig. 7)
h) Loosen the spring hose clamp that secures the inlet tube to the MAF sensor. Pull the inlet tube clear of the MAF sensor. (Fig. 8)

If you run the Start MySql script and get an error message as seen below in Figure 5.1 then you need to fix your MySQL installation under OS X 10.2. The good news is that it's very easy and this step-by- step tutorial will walk you through the process.
When you installed MySQL under Mac OS X 10.1.x you had to create a user account called mysql so MySQL could run properly. Now with Mac OS X 10.2, Apple conveniently includes a default mysql user in the system so you no longer need to create that user account yourself. The problem addressed in this tutorial only arises when you install MySQL under Mac OS X 10.1.x and then upgrade to Mac OS X 10.2 because the standard user account created on the machine for MySQL is hijacked or overwritten by a Netinfo only user account of the same name. Bascially, we'll just delete the Netinfo user in Netinfo Manager and recreate the standard user account.
