  • C#, .NET, & SQL Server Setup Guide pdf
  • This document discusses some general principles in developing database applications using C#, .NET, and Microsoft SQL Server. We’ll develop a command line database application to manage contacts. General ideas apply to the GUI oriented version—in fact, that’s the homework: To create a GUI version of this thing. For this whole scheme to work, you need a few tools. These include: • .NET Framework SDK • Microsoft SQL Server The .NET Framework SDK is a free download from the Microsoft website. You go to the Microsoft website, click on download, select “.NET” then search—then pick and download the 100MB (or so) .NET Framework SDK 1.1 package. The SQL Server is a bit of a different matter. Apparently Microsoft (in all their wisdom) wishes to make it relatively difficult for developers to get a copy of their server—so they’re selling it for $49.99 : http://www.microsoft.com/sql/howtobuy/development.asp There is a way around buying SQL Server: Use the school provided server. Another possible way around is to download the “Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000)”, which is really just SQL Server, except without any tools. (ie: like MySQL server without the useful ‘mysql’ program to interact with the database). There are many ‘Query’ programs online to use instead, like “SqlBuddy” (search sourceforge.net for it). Next week we’ll use Oracle—which is just a free download. Download C#, .NET, & SQL Server pdf
  • The impact of AJAX Vulnerability in Web 2.0 Applications
  • The most striking technology application in this century is the impact of web on the human life. The current period has witnessed the increased use of web to a greater extent and the Web 2.0 has made the cyberspace as the global information space. Web 2.0 is a collection of technologies and services that allow increased user-creator interaction, content syndication, advancements in web-based user interfaces, which ultimately lead to the creation of an entirely new application platform. Web applications are the most vulnerable elements of an organization’s IT infrastructure today. An increasing number of organizations (both for-profit and not-for-profit) depend on Internet-based applications that leverage the power of AJAX. As this group of technologies becomes more complex to allow the depth and functionality discussed, and, if organizations do not secure their web applications, then security risks will only increase. The most striking features of web 2.0 are its ability in harnessing collective intelligence and bringing rich users participation. The web 2.0 has rich applications with features such as user interaction, knowledge transfer and sharing and end user as well as source collaboration. The AJAX technology is used in many synchronous environments ranging from learning to many other purposes and their potential as well as implications are addressed in many studies. The basic strength of the present web services environment is the Rich Internet Application is because of the deployment of JAVA script and DHTML for gaining interactivity in web pages. The fuse of many interrelated technologies has made the AJAX, (the Asynchronous

  • MAYA Height Field Mapping Transforming 2D image data into 3D NURBS surface
  • In this tutorial, we will be working with NURBS geometry. NURBS surfaces are always XY grids, but these grids can be shaped in different primitive forms. For our purposes, we will create a simple plane. After creating the plane, open the channel editor. Within the channel editor, we can click ‘makeNurbsPlane1’ node to unfold a series of options for that NURBS surface. This is one example of ‘history’ within maya - we can go back and change any attribute that defined the object. In this case, we will increase the surface detail by increasing the values of ‘Patches U’ and ‘Patches V’ (from 1 to 5) In this tutorial, we will be working with NURBS geometry. • Audi A4 Avant Technical Specifications pdf
  • These tires are designed for optimum performance and handling in warm climates. They are not suitable for cold, snowy, or icy weather conditions. If you drive under those circumstances, you should equip your vehicle with all-season or winter tires, which offer better traction under those conditions. We suggest you use the recommended winter or all season tire specified for your car or its equivalent. These high-performance tires also have a lower aspect ratio that aids performance and handling; however, in order to avoid tire, rim, or vehicle damage, it is important that the inflation pressure is regularly checked and maintained at recommended levels. Please also remember in making your selection that, while these tires deliver responsive handling, they may ride less comfortably and make more noise than other choices. Finally, these tires may wear more quickly than other choices. • Analyzing IP Traffic Captured by Netsniff
  • NetSniff is a multi-network-layered real-time traffic capture and analysis tool developed as part of the ICE 3 project being run out of the Center for Advanced Internet Architectures (CAIA). NetSniff uses the PCAP library [11] to capture network traffic on a network interface or from a tcpdump [11] formatted file and parses the captured traffic at multiple network layers to produce a detailed set of statistics. Logfileparser is a complementary tool creating a database and filling it with the data captured by NetSniff. This database file can then be queried to obtain relevant statistics and generate graphical results using the R [7] software. This paper describes the procedures involved to install over a FreeBSD machine all software required to generate these results, as well as provide a brief tutorial in the usage of both lofileparser and R. The first section describes the installation and basic use of NetSniff. Section two outlines the installation of logfileparser and how to generate a database from the logfiles created by NetSniff, while Section 3 covers the installation and usage of R to generate graphical results.
