  • Cellpipe 20A User's Guide
  • The CellPipe 20A is a high-speed Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) device that supports bridging over ATM. It supports RFC1483 Multiprotocol over AAL5. You can use the CellPipe 20A to create a dedicated, physical connection to Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) equipment at the telephone company. You first attach your computer or Ethernet hub to the CellPipe 20A. Then, you connect the unit to a standard telephone line. The other end of the line connects to DSL equipment at the telephone company. Your DSL circuit is dedicated to your CellPipe unit. With DSL, you have the capacity to transfer data at very high rates. The actual rate can vary according to the type of CellPipe you use, the distance between the CellPipe and the DSL equipment, and the line quality of the connection. You can use DSL technology for Internet access, telecommuting, remote office connectivity, multimedia, and videoconferencing. CellPipe 20A features The CellPipe 20A includes the following features: • ATM over ADSL through a single copper twisted-pair telephone line • 10/100 MB Ethernet (Auto-detect) • High-speed bridging • DMT-based standards • Support for ATM AAL5 (ATM Adaptation Layer Type 5) • Support for VC-based multiplexing and LLC encapsulation of RFC1483 • Autonegotiating rate adaptation • Ease of use • Easy configuration CellPipe 20A management The CellPipe 20A is managed through a command-line interface. You set up a serial connection and use VT100 emulation software to display configuration information on your computer monitor and use the computer to enter any changes. You can use the command-line interface to change the VPI and VCI value, and the
  • Landrovers for On Road Response Engineering Manual PDF
  • Landrover, by its very nature, is a market leader for off road use over every type of terrain in this country as well as abroad. It has been produced in short, medium and long wheelbase form with every conceivable body type imaginable. Its attributes are well respected across a wide spectrum of users ranging from the military to the farming community and the precedent it has set has been the envy of off road vehicle manufacturers the world over. Whilst the vehicle is of a robust and sturdy build, it is very heavy and sluggish in performance, which is the reason high and low gear ratios and differential locks were introduced to assist in its prime task – to be capable of ascending and descending most gradients over every type of eroded surface. That said, it is fair to say that the vehicle has not been developed and perfected with on road response capability in mind, and drivers using the Landrover to make progress will find it is not particularly suited to that task. The acceleration is slow, the turning circle wide and cumbersome and the general handling heavy and tiresome. For this reason, the speed limit set for the road will in most instances be the safe maximum limit for the vehicle and the vehicle should be driven under response conditions to those limitations accordingly. The East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service Landrover pump is derived from the Landrover LWB TD 130 (130” wheelbase) chassis driven by the Turbo
  • DDM - Maya Animation
  • Not entirely unexpected, the fourth and last assignment for the 3D modelling course was to make an animation in Maya. When we first read the requirements, all kinds of wild ideas came up in our minds, most of which were unrealizable in the two weeks we had available. Two weeks we had to use to think of the subject of the animation, to learn how to make animations in Maya, to write this report and of course, to render the final result. Since both of us never made an animation in Maya before, we decided to work through a few tutorials first, trying the examples described and getting used to the animation interface. When we were able to find and use the most basic items for developing animations, we started to work on our final result. Our animation starts out with a simulation of the ”Matrix Effect”, which displays glowing green letters falling down on the screen. Next, the camera zooms out and displays a square filled with domino stones, guide rails and a ball. The ball will fall down onto the guide rails, roll further down and hit the first domino stone, which then starts the falling of the first row of stones. When the last stone of the first row falls down, it will hit the + shaped item, which will turn around, hitting over the large purple stone, which will then hit the large field of stones and set the final action in motion. In this report, we will

(Contents frames, have two links to the title; the word Contents brings the Contents frames to the top.) This help has been built with UNIX machines in mind. If you are using TeXtures on a Macintosh, you should find parts of this help useful, particularly, if you have updated your version of LaTeX to run LaTeX 2e (as opposed to LaTeX 2.09 which demands files should start with the obsolete command documentstyle ...). Note to TeXtures and remote users: feel free to download local LaTeX packages/document classes (you will need to have LaTeX 2e for these) or local plain TeX files. • Nikon M-22U Measuroscope with QC-5200 Software with Video Edge Detection
  • The Measuroscope is used to measure the lateral distance between two features on a substrate. The system uses video edge detection to reduce operator error by removing judgment inconsistencies. Resolution depends on magnification of objective and type of detection selected. Minimum resolution is 100 nm for 100x objective and video edge detection. Video Edge detection – Detects edges from distinct variations in field intensity – Must have objective selection on the screen the same as the objective in use. Probes • Singly ‘fired’ by pressing the center scroll button on the mouse. • Continuously fired by selecting ‘continuous fire’ on menu created by right clicking over video view. To acquire points: 1. Select a feature measurement (on upper center menu) or use Measure Magic 2. Select a probe a. One of those listed above, or b. New probe can be used by selecting a point or multiple points depending on if measuring a point, line, or arc/circle (1, 2, or 3 points, respectively). The last point selected should be ‘dragged’ across the edge by the mouse to create the proper probe. 3. Position the probe over the video image 4. Size the probe 5. Select direction of scan (light to dark, dark to light, or first edge) 6. Click the center mouse button to fire Download pdf Nikon M-22U Measuroscope with QC-5200 Software with Video Edge Detection

  • DNA: variations on a theme in Maya
  • In this tutorial, we’ll explore different methods for modeling, rigging, and animating DNA. There are many ways to approach this macromolecule in Maya and each has its merits depending on what the model will be used for in your scene. We’ll start with a simple ‘plank’ DNA model that is roughly based on what is known about the molecule’s proportions, and then look at different ways to deform it. Next we’ll import a PDB coordinate set for B-DNA and experiment with different representations using particles. These first two methods assume that the helix does not need to unwind and melt. Finally, we’ll go over a programmatic approach to building DNA using PDB data for a single base pair – this method will allow us to twist and unzip the double helix. Modeling plank DNA In this first exercise, we’ll create a stand-in model for B-DNA that could be useful in schematic animations where atomic resolution is not required and melting of the double helix is not necessary. Here’s a quick overview of the process: 1) model a base pair with polygons, 2) animate its rotation and elevation to use the ‘animated snapshot’ tool, 3) create 2 NURBS curves slightly offset from the base pair, 4) use the ‘animated sweep’ tool to extrude those circles and create the backbone and finally 5) ‘duplicate special’ to create additional helical turns to the model prior to rigging. Although we’ve reviewed B-DNA’s characteristics above, let’s also have a PDB-derived cartoon model in our scene to make sure
