Download pdf Word Processing with Microsoft Word 2000Object-Oriented JavaScriptIn this chapter, you'll learn about OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) and how it relates to JavaScript. As an ASP.NET developer, you probably have some experience working with objects, and you may even be familiar with concepts such as inheritance. However, unless you're already an experienced JavaScript programmer, you probably aren't familiar with the way JavaScript objects and functions really work. This knowledge is necessary in order to understand how the Microsoft AJAX Library works, and this chapter will teach you the necessary foundations. More specifically, you will learn:
What encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism mean
How JavaScript functions work
How to use anonymous functions and closures
How to read a class diagram, and implement it using JavaScript code
How to work with JavaScript prototypes
How the execution context and scope affect the output of JavaScript functions
How to implement inheritance using closures and prototypes
What JSON is, and what a JSON structure looks like
In the next chapters you'll use this theory to work effectively with the Microsoft AJAX Library.
Concepts of Object-Oriented Programming
Most ASP.NET developers are familiar with the fundamental OOP principles because this knowledge is important when developing for the .NET development. Similarly, to develop client-side code using the Microsoft AJAX Library, you need to be familiar with JavaScript's OOP features. Although not particularly difficult, understanding these features can be a bit challenging at first, because JavaScript's OOP model is different than that of languages such as C#, VB.NET, C++, or Java.

Download pdf Object-Oriented JavaScriptC# is a functional programming languageC# 3.0 has many features well-known to functional programmers
- Parameterized types and polymorphic functions (generics)
- First-class functions (delegates)
- Lightweight lambda expressions & closure conversion
- Type inference (for locals and lambdas)
- Streams (iterators)
- A library of higher-order functions for collections & iterators
- And even:GADTs (polymorphic inheritance)
A brief history of fun in C#
C# 1.0:
- First-class functions (delegates),created only from named methods.Environment=object,code=method.
C# 2.0:
- Parameterized types and polymorphic methods (generics)
- Anonymous methods: creation of delegate objects from code bodies,closure-converted by C# compiler
- Iterators:stream abstraction,like generators from Clu
C# 3.0:
- Lambda expressions:lightweight syntax for anonymous methods whose bodies are expressions
- Type inference for locals and lambdas
- (Also,not discussed:expression trees for lambdas)

Your office or home computer may not be configured in the way described in this guide.
Connecting USB memory sticks to a PC
1. Locate the USB ports on the front of the PC.
Generally this is located on the front of the PC – exact location differs depending on the model of computer.
2. Insert your memory stick into the USB port.
Accessing your files
You can browse the contents of your memory stick as you would a floppy disc, CD or DVD.
To browse the contents of your memory stick:
1. Double-click the My Computer icon.
2. Double-click the memory stick (E:) icon.
3. Copy the file(s) you want to use to the Put your work in here folder on the desktop.
Removing your memory stick
Remember to correctly eject your memory stick when you have finished using it. Failure to do so may result in the loss of files from your memory stick.
To eject your memory stick:
1. Click the USB device icon on the taskbar (located in the bottom right- hand corner of the screen).
2. Click the Safely remove USB Mass Storage Device – Drive (E:) message that pops up.
3. Remove your memory stick from the PC.
Connecting USB memory sticks to a Mac
Location of USB ports on Macs depends on the model Mac you are using.
If the Mac you are using does not have an aluminium keyboard, read below for USB port locations on specific Mac models.

The contours are drawn as polylines and the drill holes are drawn as circles. All the layers for dimensions and notes can be turned off to reduce the clutter or they may remain on while AUTO-CODE is running. For this tutorial we will be turning them off. In AutoCAD, select the layer control list and freeze the layers that are not used for programming the part.
To freeze the layers, change the sun icon into a snowflake. The only layers you will need for this tutorial are 0 and DefPoints. After turning off the extra layers, you should only see the top and side views of the part. We are going to focus on the top view only.
Starting with a 4 by 6 by ½ inch stock material, the part will be clamped along the top and bottom edges. It is not necessary to show the clamps in AUTO-CODE. It is necessary that you know where they are located relative to the drawing.
For this basic part, we are going to drill the five holes indicated by circles and then cut out the rectangular area in the center using a half-inch end mill. The drill holes will be 3/8” (0.375”) in diameter. With the drawing open, the next step is to launch AUTO-CODE.

This estate-car version of Clio draws on the strengths of the Clio III family in terms of road-holding, roominess, ride comfort, and safety. Clio Sport Tourer is one of the most compact cars of its kind on the market. It strikes an intelligent balance between elegant, sleek design, with its steeply raked rear screen, and roomy practicality with its generously sized (439 dm3 VDA) luggage bay. A car built to conquer new markets in keeping with Renault Commitment 2009, Clio Sport Tourer is designed to help Renault broaden its appeal in Segment B alongside Clio III.
Download What’s New from Renault at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor ShowShort History of STLIn October of 1976 I observed that a certain algorithm – parallel reduction – was associated with monoids: collections of elements with an associative operation. That observation led me to believe that it is possible to associate every useful algorithm with a mathematical theory and that such association allows for both widest possible use and meaningful taxonomy. As mathematicians learned to lift theorems into their most general settings, so I wanted to lift algorithms and data structures. One seldom needs to know the exact type of data on which an algorithm works since most algorithms work on many similar types. In order to write an algorithm one needs only to know the properties of operations on data. I call a collection of types with similar properties on which an algorithm makes sense the underlying concept of the algorithm. Also, in order to pick an efficient algorithm one needs to know the complexity of these operations. In other words, complexity is an essential part of the interface to a concept.
In the late 70’s I became aware of John Backus’s work on FP. While his idea of programming with functional forms struck me as essential, I realized that his attempt to permanently fix the number of functional forms was fundamentally wrong. The number of functional forms – or as I call them now – generic algorithms is always growing as we discover new algorithms. In 1980 together with Dave Musser and Deepak Kapur I started working on a language Tecton to describeCentOS 4 Tutorial Ebook SampleOne of the joys of open source is that developers can take software apart and rebuild it in their own image. In this case, a developer community has taken Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, reworked it and released it for free under the GPL as CentOS. But is it a worthwhile alternative to its commercially-available parent? On first inspection, you would struggle to find any real difference between CentOS and RHEL. Both are aimed primarily at (surprise!) the enterprise and they share the same source. Apart from a few tweaks to the line-up, CentOS contains all the free software available with RHEL.
