Download.NET Framework SecurityThe .NET Framework is an integral Windows component that supports building and running the next generation of applications and XML Web services. The .NET Framework is designed to fulfill the following objectives:
• To provide a consistent object-oriented programming environment whether object code is stored and executed locally, executed locally but Internet-distributed, or executed remotely.
• To provide a code-execution environment that minimizes software deployment and versioning conflicts.
• To provide a code-execution environment that promotes safe execution of code, including code created by an unknown or semi-trusted third party.
• To provide a code-execution environment that eliminates the performance problems of scripted or interpreted environments.
• To make the developer experience consistent across widely varying types of applications, such as Windows-based applications and Web-based applications.
• To build all communication on industry standards to ensure that code based on the .NET Framework can integrate with any other code.
The Framework has appeared as an alternative to Sun’s Java platform (http://java.sun.com), but has yet to receive as wide acceptance as the more established Java. A comparison between Java and .NET is beyond the scope of this document.
.NET accommodates the use of several different programming languages, as long as they conform to the Common Type System (CTS), a part of the Common Language Infrastructure (CLI) [14]. It is argued [15, Ch. 2] that this allows developers with different language backgrounds to still use their preferred languages and not get locked in to a specific language that the Framework supports.
The validity of this argument can be questioned. To install TmoleX, simply double-click on tmoleX.exe and follow the installation instructions. After installation, TmoleX is available in your Windows Start Menu or as an icon on your desktop. In order to run TURBOMOLE calculations Perl must be installed on your system. We recommend to install
ActivePerl on Windows, which is available for free from http://www.activestate.com/products/activeperl/. Note that you do not have to register, and please make sure that the path to Perl will be added to your global path settings (this is the default, simply do not deactivate it).
Please Note :
T URBOMOLE 5.9.1 for Windows is included in the TmoleX package. You will not have to install it additional ly. Some features of T URBOMOLE that are based on classical Unix scripts are not yet ported to Windows:
1. Numerical second derivatives (script NumForce)
2. automatic BSSE calculations (program jobbsse)
The TURBOMOLE version for Windows includes one generic type of 32-bit executable only, without special optimization for a certain type of CPU. It runs on any processor that is compatible to the Pentium 4 instruction set which supports SSE2. If you want to run TURBOMOLE 'at full speed', we recommend to use the Linux version.
Download pdf TmoleX A Graphical User Interface to the TURBOMOLE TutorialWhat is Web 2.0? Ideas, technologies and implications for educationWithin 15 years the Web has grown from a group work tool for scientists at CERN into a global information space with more than a billion users. Currently, it is both returning to its roots as a read/write tool and also entering a new, more social and participatory phase. These trends have led to a feeling that the Web is entering a ‘second phase’—a new, ‘improved’ Web version 2.0. But how justified is this perception?
This TechWatch report was commissioned to investigate the substance behind the hyperbole surrounding ‘Web 2.0’ and to report on the implications this may have for the UK Higher and Further Education sector, with a special focus on collection and preservation activities within libraries. The report argues that by separating out the discussion of Web technologies (ongoing Web development overseen by the W3C), from the more recent applications and services (social software), and attempts to understand the manifestations and adoption of these services (the ‘big ideas’), decision makers will find it easier to understand and act on the strategic implications of ‘Web 2.0’. Indeed, analysing the composition and interplay of these strands provides a useful framework for understanding its significance.
The report establishes that Web 2.0 is more than a set of ‘cool’ and new technologies and services, important though some of these are. It has, at its heart, a set of at least six powerful ideas that are changing the way some people interact. Secondly, it is also important to acknowledge that these ideas are not necessarilyAspects of AJAXThe basic elements for an application using the AJAX technologies, JavaScript and the XMLHttpRequest object, are not difficult to understand and there are many articles on the web that show how to use this object and declare that being AJAX. I think there are a lot more topics that should be understood and talked about.
The right selection from the available technologies as well as a suitable abstraction in using these elements is important for the success of the realization of an application. One main goal behind the architecture of the AJAX engine was to build an AJAX framework that you can reuse every time you want some asynchronous processing or when you need a smart way to refresh information on the current web page.
When targeting applications with some hundred sides and WebServices and with in sum about a thousand methods the developer must have a clear and simple kind and pattern for coding the JavaScript code on the client to avoid errors and to not think about the implementation details. Only by using a simple approach a good quality and maintenance can be achieved.
The idea of the AJAX engine on the client is the simplification of the implementation of the code that we need for implementing a specific functionality on the client. Like with the WebService framework of ASP.NET on the server the details of communication over SOAP on the client are completely hidden from the developer and also the recurring code portion is only realized once in a centralIBM ThinkPad 770 Users Guide PdfThe ThinkPad 770 series of computers incorporates the latest in hardware technology. Download IBM ThinkPad 770 Users Guide PdfThreading in C#C# supports parallel execution of code through multithreading. A thread is an independent execution path, able to run simultaneously with other threads.
A C# program starts in a single thread created automatically by the CLR and operating system (the "main" thread), and is made multi-threaded by creating additional threads.
The main thread creates a new thread t on which it runs a method that repeatedly prints the character y. Simultaneously, the main thread repeatedly prints the character x.
The CLR assigns each thread its own memory stack so that local variables are kept separate. In the next example, we define a method with a local variable, then call the method simultaneously on the main thread and a newly created thread:
A separate copy of the cycles variable is created on each thread's memory stack, and so the output is, predictably, ten question marks.

There’s nothing to download and no separate application to use—it just works in Gmail. Users can see when their contacts are online, and chat instantly with them. Communications today can be frustrating. Users typically have to use separate email and instant messaging applications to talk to the same people, not to mention having to keep track of what information was sent where.
Gmail Chat addresses some of these issues by breaking down the arbitrary barrier that’s been created between email and IM. Chats need not be different from email messages. Important information is communicated and stored in both. Gmail has always been committed to making communications more efficient and helping users find and access information. Now we’ve extended this model to instant communications.
