The 2005 BMW M5 – a thriller PDFBMW’s first production V-10 engine is a technological masterpiece, deriving much of its design and engineering brief from the BMW Formula 1 V-10, such as the individual throttle butterflies and the lightweight alloy construction. Displacing five liters– the same as the last-generation M5’s V-8–this high-revving engine delivers a breathtaking 500 horsepower at 7750 rpm and 409 pound-feet of torque at 100 rpm and is mated to a super-quick seven- speed sequential-manual transmission.
The redline is an incredible 8250 rpm, because BMW chose to develop an engine with high revs–like a race car’s–rather than

Download manualProgrammer's Guide to the Java 2D - API Enhanced Graphics and Imaging for JavaThe Java 2D™ API enhances the graphics, text, and imaging capabilities of the Abstract Windowing Toolkit (AWT), enabling the development of richer user interfaces and new types of Java™ applications. Along with these richer graphics, font, and image APIs, the Java 2D API supports enhanced color definition and composition, hit detection on arbitrary geometric shapes and text, and a uniform rendering model for printers and display devices. The Java 2D API also enables the creation of advanced graphics libraries, such as CAD-CAM libraries and graphics or imaging special effects libraries, as well as the creation of image and graphic file read/write filters.
When used in conjunction with the Java Media Framework and other Java Media APIs, the Java 2D APIs can be used to create and display animations and other multimedia presentations. The Java Animation and Java Media Framework APIs rely on the Java 2D API for rendering support.
Enhanced Graphics, Text, and Imaging
Early versions of the AWT provided a simple rendering package suitable for rendering common HTML pages, but not full-featured enough for complex graphics, text, or imaging. As a simplified rendering package, the early AWT embodied specific cases of more general rendering concepts. The Java 2D™ API provides a more flexible, full-featured rendering package by expanding the AWT to support more general graphics and rendering operations.
For example, through the Graphics class you can draw rectangles, ovals, and polygons. Graphics2D enhances the concept of geometric rendering by providing a mechanism for rendering virtually any geometric shape. Interrupts give the processor the ability to respond quickly to its peripherals (such as the keyboard and the hard disk) and to the outside world in general. Without interrupts, a processor would be unable to service more than one task efficiently and reliably. The importance of the interrupt is illustrated when comparing an interrupt to a doorbell. If your door did not have a doorbell, you would have to periodically go to the door to see if anyone happened to be there at that time. Of course, that would be very inefficient. With a doorbell, you only need to go to the door when the doorbell rings, and you are then confident that someone is there waiting.
Likewise, it is not efficient for the processor to continually check whether any of its peripherals require attention at a given time. An interrupt is a doorbell to the processor to signal that some device needs service. During normal execution of a program, instructions are read from memory and executed sequentially by the processor. The processor uses a special register called the instruction pointer to keep track of the next instruction to be executed. A set of general-purpose registers are used for manipulation and temporary storage of any data used by the program.

1. Open Photostory 3.
2. Select “Begin a New Story”
3. Click Next.
This step also allows you to edit a previously made story or play a story.
STEP 2: Import and arrange your pictures Things you can do: import images, remove black borders, rotate imagery, simple photo editing.
1. Click Import Pictures. Locate the folder where your images are located. If you have not found images, visit http://www.jakesonline.org/websearching2.htm to access a list of search tools that can be used to locate digital imagery.
2. Click on your first image. Hold the shift key down. Click on the last image-this will select all images. To select images non-sequentially, hold the control key down and select. Click OK once selected. The images will now load into the timeline.
3. To reorder your images, click and drag and reposition in the timeline.
NOTE: you can always add other imagery by repeating step 2 above.
4. OPTIONAL: Once the order of the images have been determined (this may be predetermined in a storyboard), you may wish to remove the black borders of your images. Click Remove Black borders. Click Yes to All. Click OK.
Editing Effects: Rotate and Crop, Auto Fix and Add Effect
Add Effect: None, Black and White, Chalk and Charcoal, Colored Pencil, Diffuse Glow, Negative, Outline-Black, Outline-Grey, Sepia, Washout, and Water Color.
5. SAVE EARLY SAVE OFTEN!!! At this point, save your file. Save it to the folder created in the Prep step above. Be sure that your images and Photostory file are in the same folder.
6. Click Next.

An early study showed that DoS attacks occurred at a rate of nearly 4000 attacks per week [18]. In 2001, a DoS attack [4] was able to take down seven of the thirteen DNS root servers. And more recently, DoS attacks have been used for online extortion [5]. The importance of the problem has led to a raft of proposed solutions.
Researchers have advocated filtering to prevent the use of spoofed source addresses [8], traceback to locate the source of the disrupting packets [20, 22, 21, 24], overlay-based filtering [12, 1, 14] to protect approaches to servers, pushback of traffic filters into the network [16, 10, 3], address isolation to distinguish client and server traffic [9], and capabilities to control incoming bandwidth

With this capability, the network can inform applications about availability, and the application instructs the network on where to direct traffic – without manual intervention and its associated costs. With this highly available, extremely secure solution in place, enterprises can expect increased ROI from their Web applications.
Challenge Today’s applications consist of many bits and pieces that a limited workforce of skilled Web administrators may not have the time or resources to adequately manage and control. And efficiently managing application deployment and availability for large-scale web applications from multiple locales has been difficult at best. “Customers are moving from a client-server architecture to a predominantly web-based distributed architecture,” said Garth Fort, Group Project Manager, Microsoft. “Microsoft’s .NET vision is about evolving our tools and our platform to help customer build the next generation applications. F5 Networks has built-out a comprehensive suite of products to manage the delivery of those applications in a distributed environment. It’s an ideal fit.”
The goal for both F5 and Microsoft was to enable applications to send control messages to network devices, providing a layer between the network and the application as it added new intelligence. With this capability, the network can inform applications about availability, for instance, and the application instructs the network on where to direct traffic – without manual intervention.
