Harpoon tur a CAD file into a finished mesh with three clicks of a mouse. Proprietary meshing algorithms enable the software to process up to two million cells per minute on standard hardware. A HEX-dominant structure within Harpoon eures better quality cells, even if CAD data is poor. And, Harpoon automatically checks the generated mesh for incoistencies and repai any sub-par cells. Surface geometry is brought into Harpoon through STL (surface triangulation) files that can be created in any CAD package or in Download PDF
  • Automating JMP
  • The purpose of this paper is to provide information on getting started with automating JMP® 6 using C# .NET. This document discusses how to automate the more common tasks involved in analyzing data such as how to create a data table, run an analysis, display options within the analysis, select portions of the analysis report, and save results to a file. The final section describes the interface between automation and the JMP Scripting Language (JSL). This paper does not discuss how to setup a project or create forms. The code provided was written using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003. How to Create a Data Table There are several methods for creating a JMP data table. • Open a file with a known extension. • Open a table within a database. • Open a text file. • Create the table from scratch. • MySQL and Perl, the marriage of convenience
  • MySQL and Perl have been around for quite a while. They are still widely used even if the "fashion" is changing. This article talks about these two products working together as a whole, either on the Internet or on your local network. The provided example is written for Unix systems, free or not, even if it can be adapted to other widespread "systems". What this article is : a small review of what can be done with this pair, showing ease of use, speed, reliability, security... What this article is not : neither a MySQL tutorial nor a Perl tutorial; neither a MySQL review nor a Perl review. Accordingly, we’ll see MySQL at work in combination with Perl, without forgetting that "there is more than one way to do it". What about this nice pair ? MySQL is a Relational DataBase Management System (RDBMS) available from http://www.mysql.com. It’s released under GNU GPL for free depending on what it is used for. Check the licensing policy on the MySQL’s website. It works either as a server or a client on many platforms. A few other RDBMS exist as free software and we won’t make any comparisons since the choice of MySQL for this article is arbitrary. Neither will we compare to the big "commercial" guns such as Informix, Oracle, Sybase... It is enough to say that MySQL is probably one of the most widely used DBM on the Internet. For this article we’ll use the version 3.23.36 (again, arbitrarily). At the time of this writing, the
  • Postfix Cyrus Web cyradm HOWTO
  • This document guides you through the installation of the Postfix mail transportation agent (MTA), the Cyrus IMAP server. The goal is a fully functional high-performance mailsystem with user-administration with Web-cyradm, a webinterface. Data like virtualusers, aliases etc. are stored in a mysql database. Cyrus IMAP The Cyrus IMAP is developed and maintained by Carnegie Mellon University. Unlike the WU-IMAPd Cyrus is using its own method to store the users mail. The data is stored in a database, this makes Cyrus so performant. Especially with lots of users and/or lot of big emails, there is nothing such fast as the Cyrus IMAP-server. Another very important feature is, you don’t need a local Un*x user for each account. All users are authenticated by the IMAP-Server. This makes it a great solution for really huge base of users. User administration is done by special IMAP-commands. This allows you to eighter use the commandline interface, or use one of the available Webinterfaces. This Method is much more secure than a Webinterface to /etc/passwd! Since CMU changed the license policy for Cyrus, this software is going to be used by much more users Web-cyradm is the Webinterface that allows you to perform the administrative tasks to your mailsystem This Screenshot shows the domain-administration part of Web-cyradm. Web-cyradm is written in PHP, which is often installed on webservers. Time to set up Web-cyradm takes just a few minutes. At the time being, Web-cyradm does not support different roles for its users. So you cannot use it as a frontend for your

  • NICMOS optical aberrations coma and astigmatism
  • Coma and astigmatism of NICMOS cameras have been derived using phase retrieval … Coma and astigmatism in NICMOS cameras are generally small, producing the Coma and astigmatism of NICMOS cameras have been derived using phase retrieval analysis of the data from the NICMOS focus monitoring program. Analysis of these aberrations has revealed that y-coma in all three camera experienced a systematic change over the NICMOS lifetime in Cycles 7 and 7a. A similar variation has been found for x-astigmatism in camera 2. In camera 3, the x-astigmatism increased dramatically after the FOM had been given a y-tilt of 16 arcsec. X-coma and y-astigmatism in all cameras did not show substantial systematic variations over the same period of time. The results of this study should help to understand the origin of the NICMOS optics instability. They should also facilitate interpretation of possible changes in NICMOS cameras when they are back to operations after installation of the cryocooler in Cycle 10. 1. Introduction NICMOS optical characteristics experienced noticeable variations since the start of the instrument orbital life in early 1997. These include not only the changing focus position Download Health Manual
  • Basic Praat Tutorials
  • This is a set of brief tutorials for how to do some basic things with Praat, the great free phonetics software created and maintained by Paul Boersma and David Weenink. The overall goal is to help you get oriented to the program in general and some of the more commonly used functions. This tutorial is mostly geared toward people that are completely new to the program, but there may be tips that are of some use to experienced users as well. For completeness, this guide was written while I was using Praat version 5.0.27 on a Windows PC (running Vista, specifically). However, the material covered in this guide is very unlikely to change much if at all between versions or platforms. Feel free to distribute this guide (just don’t sell it), but if you do, I’d like to hear about it. I’d also like to hear about anything you find especially helpful or unhelpful, or if there’s something else you’d like to see a tutorial for. Download pdf Basic Praat Tutorials
