Designer's Guide to Brand StrategyPrior to this Guide, I prepared a short handbook on Brand Strategy for a specific target audience and for a specific problem. Called ‘The Good Fun Guide to Brand Strategy’ it served its intended purpose by being badly written and well illustrated. However, in spite of this, many others who also read it suggested that it was a good document and one worth extending. Though perhaps being written better.
My interest is in business behaviour and the contributions of that behaviour to how a company, product or service acts and is perceived. I’ve often worked for clients in developing the final designs that ultimately shape how the customer or target individual perceives the client firm. I’ve also seen all too often the disconnect between the involved parties that help shape the client’s identity and the problems in how the client manages its design.
In writing this Guide I’ve tried to outline the basic elements to the process of design and development of brand strategy in a way that would best support the people involved in actually designing brands. This is not to say that designers can’t read eight hundred page books on Managing Brand Equity; but there are some very simple elements of developing the attributes of business behaviour, and all designers should understand their vital role in improving business behaviour.
My hope is that I’ve been able to simplify the topics involved and display them in a practical way that makes it easier for most designers to recognize where in their ownAndy Melton's XAMPP Server Installation TutorialWhat is XAMPP?
I decided that the quickest way to get you up and running with your own web server would be to use Apache Friend's XAMPP. XAMPP is an application that combines Apache (the web server), MySQL (database), PHP (scripting language) and phpMyAdmin (database administration) all into one.
Normally, to set up a web server you'd have to install each of those individually. With XAMPP, you install one application and you have a fully functional server. Now, you're probably thinking, “Well, if it's that easy then why is this blog entry HUGE!?” Well. The reason this is a large entry is I am going to walk you through all the steps of setting up XAMPP AND make sure that you set it up so that it is secure!
The default XAMPP installation is meant for developers on a local network, not for a real world installation, however, there are ways of making the installation secure and ready for real world use. Also, there are a few other things we'll need to do other than installing XAMPP to get things going.
Installing on Fedora Core 5
There are many distributions of Linux out there, my distribution of choice is Fedora Core. I prefer it because I've always had the most luck with it and have friends who use it. The steps contained within this article could be easily applied to Ubuntu or another distribution.

We need to begin with the basic alphabet and learn how to use the basic alphabet correctly and effectively Material through practice. This will require learning some new concepts and skills as well as learning a different vocabulary. All CAD systems create designs using basic geometric entities. Most of the constructions used in technical designs are based upon two-dimensional planar geometry.
The method and number of operations that are required to accomplish the construction are different from one system to another.

Conversion is increasingly important for BRL-CAD users who must interact with a growing number of Government and commercial organizations involved in the research, development, testing, and evaluation of today’s combat systems.
Note that this document addresses BRL-CAD geometry converters, not BRL-CAD image converters (e.g., pix-bw, pix-ps, pix-rle, bw-ps, and pl-ps). For further information on image conversion, see the man page on the utility of interest. Also, because of the many file formats in existence today and the rapidly changing nature of computer software and software companies, it would be impractical to try to address all of the conversion paths and methods that are currently or potentially possible. Many times, conversion from one file format to another is not a one to-one process. Depending on the amount of time and effort the BRL-CAD user is willing to invest, seemingly incompatible formats can

This guide was designed to be used with one of the standard templates available on the File Exchange Select Template web page.
What is File Exchange?
This section provides a general overview of File Exchange, and then explains template structure and use.
eBay File Exchange overview
This section explains the requirements and qualification necessary to use the File Exchange templates, and then presents a general workflow.
File Exchange requirements and qualifications
File Exchange allows you to create listings offline using a standard flat-file format, and then easily bulk upload and manage a large number of listings and the resulting sales reports.
The File Exchange tool helps you quickly and efficiently:
• Create new listings
• Confirm there are no errors in your listing files before posting them
• Revise active listings
• End active listings
• Download sales reports
• Issue refunds
• Mark items as shipped
• Leave feedback.
File Exchange is the ideal tool if you:
• Are already familiar with the eBay listing process
• Have a lot of inventory items you want to list on eBay
• Use software, such as Microsoft® Excel, Access or another program to manage your inventory and you want to use it to create a listing file for eBay
• Are familiar with flat files and want to batch list several items in a single file.
Using File Exchange involves meeting certain eBay account qualifications and computer system requirements.
Qualifications
To use File Exchange, you must:

It will also guide the user through the process of securing the machine and getting the snort sensor(s) to log to a central database over stunnel. The intention is to give users that are new to any of the software the opportunity to build an enterprise-class system based completely on free, open-source tools. Following the instructions in this document will get you the following:
• Multiple FreeBSD boxes, one running the Windowmaker desktop. I chose Windowmaker because the intention of this tutorial is to create dedicated Snort machines. In other words Gnome and KDE are overkill for what we are doing here (and it looks nice).
• Locked-down machines (C2 in 2002!). I tried to be responsible with the securing of these boxes, but this is not a definitive guide to securing FreeBSD; there are several links to those at the end. If I have missed something obvious, feel free to point it out (nicely please) with your suggestion on exactly how to fix it.
• Multiple Snort sensors logging to a central MySql server/viewing station.
• An easy method of updating your software via the ports collection.
• The fastest NIDS for your money.

Tools Recommended: Radio Removal Keys
1. Prior to installing gauge panel, have all wires and tubing run to gauges and tested. It is recommended that all wires be left long to free workspace behind the panel.
2. Remove radio using radio removal keys. Snap keys in. Pull up and out. With radio hanging out, cover climate controls with a soft cloth to avoid scratches. Push in tabs on side of radio to remove keys.
3. Remove storage bin by pulling straight out.
4. Install center gauge into panel using standard U brackets included with most aftermarket gauges. If your 2 1/16 gauges did not come with mounting brackets, fabricate some, or order the standard brackets. Tighten center gauge tight by hand. Over tightening gauge will cause panel to bend.
5. The outer mounting brackets must be modified to install the triple gauge panel. There are two ways to modify the brackets to secure the panel. As illustrated to the right, you can simply use the outer leg of the mounting bracket to secure the gauge panel in place. To do this, you will need to cut the outer leg 1/8” shorter than the inner leg, and bend outward to extend beyond the side of the gauge panel. When installing, you will need at least ¼” of slack between the mounting bracket legs and the appropriate ribs along the inside of the center console. If need be, cut the bottom of the legs proportionally to allow enough slack.
