However, when the need arises to do something that is not defined in those interfaces, they are not possible for the end user to modify or customize. This is when using an API is very effective. Using the PacketLogic Python API provides access to virtually all the functionality available in the existing user interfaces, but with full possibilities to customize, integrate, and otherwise adapt the interface according to local and site-specific requirements. The PacketLogic Python API is implemented as a Python module, which means writing scripts to interface with a PacketLogic unit is a matter of:
1. Installing Python Python is available for free for all major operating systems.
2. Installing the API The API is available for free as a download from Procera Networks, on Windows and Linux operating systems.
3. Writing scripts
PythonShell and IDLE
The Windows installer includes IDLE, a rudimentary development environment for Python. In IDLE, the scripts can be written and executed. IDLE is started with the PythonShell open, which is where the scripts are run and the output displayed. The Python shell also allows executing the scripts line by line, which is sometimes useful. For scripts of any non-negligible complexity, however, it is recommended to open a new window (Ctrl+N), write the script in the editor, save it, and execute it (by pressing F5 or selecting Run Module from the Run menu). Of course, IDLE can be substituted for anHonda Outboard Motor BF9.9A/15A Owners Manual PDFThis manual describes the operation and maintenance of the Honda Outboard Motor: BF9.9AJ15A All information in this publication is based on the latest product information available at the time of printing. They recognize the concept of crosscutting concerns, and know that they have had problems with the implementation of such concerns in the past. But there are many questions about how to adopt AOP into the development process.
Common questions include:
Can I use aspects in my existing code?
What kinds of benefits can I expect to get from using aspects?
How do I find aspects in my programs?
How steep is the learning curve for AOP?
What are the risks of using this new technology?
This chapter addresses these questions in the context of AspectJ: a general-purpose aspect-oriented extension to Java. A series of abridged examples illustrate the kinds of aspects programmers may want to implement using AspectJ and the benefits associated with doing so. Readers who would like to understand the examples in more detail, or who want to learn how to program examples like these, can find more complete examples and supporting material linked from the AspectJ web site ( http://eclipse.org/aspectj ).
A significant risk in adopting any new technology is going too far too fast. Concern about this risk causes many organizations to be conservative about adopting new technology. To address this issue, the examples in this chapter are grouped into three broad categories, with aspects that are easier to adopt into existing development projects coming earlier in this chapter. The next section, Introduction to AspectJ, we present the core of AspectJ's features, andGPS Students GuideGPS Pupils? guide. Introduction to the Global. Positioning System. Finding location

GPS Pupils’ guide Introduction to the Global Positioning System Finding location If you look at a map of the world in an atlas, the planet will be covered with a series of grid lines. These grid lines measure latitude and longitude, which is a positioning system used to measure location. In the past, to calculate your location using these numbe was a long mathematical process. Today, however, the easiest way of calculating your latitude and longitude is to use a hand held GPS (Global Positioning System) unit. GPS data is crucial to the GLOBE Programme. You need to know your precise location when you collect data so that your position can be accurately pinpointed, wherever you are on the globe. However, the GPS is not entirely accurate: it has an in-built error which mea that if you were to take just one reading, there is a possibility that it would

AutoCAD Map 3D bridges CAD and GIS by providing direct access to data, regardless of how it is stored, and by enabling the use of AutoCAD® tools for maintaining a broad variety of geospatial information. Using Open Source FDO Data Access Technology, AutoCAD Map 3D natively accesses spatial data stored in relational databases, files, and Web-based services, providing easy management of large geospatial data sets while streamlining entire workflows. The topics in this section describe what you can accomplish with AutoCAD Map 3D.

It provides fault tolerance while running on inexpensive commodity hardware, and it delivers high aggregate performance to a large number of clients.
While sharing many of the same goals as previous distributed file systems, our design has been driven by observations of our application workloads and technological environment, both current and anticipated, that reject a marked departure from some earlier file system assumptions. This has led us to reexamine traditional choices and explore radically different design points.

This5 Ways Businesses can benefit from Web 2.0Whether we like it or not the technology and culture of Web 2.0 is something all businesses should take note of – but as usual businesses are left trying to work out how it all affects them. To offer some guidance through simple explanation of the technology and 5 Ideas where real issues can be addressed, this white paper goes some way towards clearing the way for businesses to work with Web 2.0.
The aim is not to blindly evangelise and urge everyone to become involved – rather to help our clients align Web 2.0 with their business strategy in an appropriate and realistic fashion.
What is Web 2.0?
Sceptics may see Web 2.0 as nothing more than a game of buzzword bingo. So rather than trying to defining Web 2.0, let’s talk about the companies and websites that are causing the buzz.
The most talked about aspect of Web 2.0 is social networking and the most talked about social networking site is MySpace – so much so that the predominantly youthful users have become known as the MySpace Generation. MySpace recently had more page views than Yahoo!, Google and MSN. No one can argue with its influence. So how does MySpace work? Users begin by creating a public profile. They can embellish their basic details with photos, music, videos and thoughts for the day. Users then begin building their network of friends. These friends can be people they know, or stars from TV, radio and the movies. PageR provides a central event console that can collect, filter and display status and event information for all server and TCP/IP devices on your local or worldwide network. Events, whether normal status updates or critical warnings, can be flagged to automatically and immediately trigger alert notifications to remote personnel via mobile phones, pagers, PDA’s, email, broadcast message and more. You can even have PageR run scripts and commands or launch applications, notify emergency services, turn on fans or backup air conditioners, and more when events occur. PageR is unique in the range of events and servers that it monitors, from basic “Are you there?” network pings to complex computer room environment monitoring, server crash detection and web page / server monitoring. On Windows NT/2K/XP/2K3 servers, any event written to an Event Log (i.e. System, Security, Application) can be used as a trigger for immediate, remote notification and corrective action. Mixed platform networks are fully supported by polling UNIX, OpenVMS, HP3000,
