  • How Web 2.0 technologies move Talent Management
  • For many of today’s companies, a greater volume of work is expected from a limited number of employees. This environment makes it essential for companies to have a strategy in place to nurture and track employee talent. A lack of effective talent management can critically impact business operations and employee productivity. For example, companies without adequate sales and support training programs take longer to bring new products to market; customer retention issues arise from poorly trained support representatives; and employee productivity remains low when workforce talent is not aligned with business processes and goals. Since the 1990s, the process of talent management has been utilized by companies to develop workers’ skills, improve overall performance, and ultimately enhance the corporate bottom line. Today, forward-looking companies have begun to develop talent that is aligned with their business by tapping into online communities—known collectively as Web 2.0 technologies—such as blogs, wikis, and social networks. This paper discusses the morphing of traditional talent management into a more sophisticated, collaborative method of cultivating employee skills using Web 2.0 technologies. Transforming traditional Talent Management Talent management—the acquisition and development of employee talent—has become somewhat of a buzzword due to factors such as globalization and outsourcing to foreign markets. One key aspect of talent management is performance management: how companies develop and rate individual employee performance. Yet talent management equates to far more than performance management. It is an overarching umbrella that encompasses the means by which companies attract, develop, promote, and retain their employees. The components of talent management

  • MB86290 Series Model Converter V02 for LightWave3D (model converter) reads the scene file, the object file, and the image data, which are created by the modeling tool, NewTek LightWave3D(Ver.5.x, Ver.6.x), and transfers the data for MB86290 series graphics controller. This data is called the model data. The model data is input in the scene drawing API (3DGL scene drawing API) of MB86290 Series 3D Graphics Library, and could be played back by MB86290 series graphics controller. The functions of the model converter are described in the following. • It transfers not only the object but also the information on the scene of a light, a camera, the motion information of movement/ rotation/ scaling. • It reads multi scene files, and can put together into one file and output it. • It can transfer the object file itself or the image data itself. • If there are same object in the scene file, those object data are managed as one data. • If there are same image data in the scene file, those image data are managed as one data. • Except the model data, it creates the model data index file to refer the model data information. • Experience in integrating Java with C# and .NET
  • Java has been with us for seven years now and has made phenomenal inroads into the world of system, business, internet and educational programming. As demonstrated by presentations made at conferences such as JavaGrande, its influence extends also into scientific and high performance computing, specifically in parallel and distributed applications [11]. The reason for Java being used by these latter communities is that it has something to offer over and above the languages currently in use – chiefly Fortran, Visual Basic and C/C++. Specifically, object-oriented programming, increased security both within a program and between programs, parallelism facilities, applets and access to new resources through class libraries are cited as features which could be profitably used by scientific programmers [19]. The move towards Java in distributed computing has not been without its problems [17, 15], however, and it is to be expected that programmers will be loathe to embark upon another change of language so soon. Yet, the advent of Microsoft’s new language C# cannot go unnoticed, and the questions to be asked are: • What are the additional advantages of C# as a language over Java? • Can the new and interesting features of C# be incorporated into existing Java software? Like Java, C# is not just a programming language, but co-exists with a particular runtime enironment (like Java’s JVM), a means of communicating on the network (like Java’s RMI but unlike Java’s applets) and several independent technologies which are used by both languages (such as XML) The purpose of this paper is to present experience

  • Modifying Fiat Marea Door Handles to fit a Fiat Bravo - Simple Guide
  • First of all we need to obtain the Fiat Marea rear door handles, once obtained we can now begin to fit them to the Fiat Bravo. Below are two examples of a Fiat Marea rear door handle and the Fiat Marea/Bravo front door handle. FIAT MAREA/BRAVO FRONT DOOR HANDLE - Circled in the photograph is the rear mounting point for the bolt required to fit these handles to the front door. FIAT MAREA REAR DOOR HANDLE – Circled in the photograph is the rear mounting point for the bolt required to fit these handles to the rear door. As you may have noticed, the position for the bolt is now in a 90 degree angle compared to the front door handle and is relatively much longer. Hence why they don’t fit. If your Fiat Marea Front Door Handles are the same colour as your Bravo, you do not need to disassemble the door handles. Follow Step 1. If you are repainting and/or fitting Fiat Marea Rear Door Handles then go to Step 2. Step 1 - Using the Fiat Marea Front Door Handles on your Fiat Bravo The transition from Fiat Bravo door handles to Fiat Marea door handles is no difficult than doing a simple door handle change, like for like. No modifications are required but you do need to change the lock barrel. To swap lock barrels you need to remove the circular clip around the lock barrel of both handles and swap them over. Use a screw driver to prise it off, but be
