  • Creating Maya 4.x Blend Shapes for MOTIONBUILDER Tutorial
  • Maya Blend Shapes Guidelines • Do not use identical names. Since the FBX plugin is not case sensitive, conflicts may occur when merging back using the same letters for a given name (for example: big, Big, BIG are all the same). Use different names. ! Note: When renaming, use the “prefix hierarchy names” (>modify) command in Maya to rename a complete hierarchy. • Do not delete the target models from your scene until the file has been exported in FBX format. The FBX plugin needs these models to export the Blend Shapes. • Use the default options (“Origin:Local”, and “Check topology:On”), except for the deformation order option. In the Advanced tab, use the “Front of chain” and not the “Default” option. • Use only one Blend Shape input per object. Do not use the “Create Blend Shapes” command more than once on the same object. • Generate the Blend Shapes on each geometry separately. Do not use the entire group (like the head group), but instead use each part of the head separately. Good examples: - Face_base with happy_face_target and sad_face_target - Teeth_base with happy_teeth_target and sad_teeth_target Bad examples: - head_group with head_group_happy and head_group_sad Using the group method will transfer into MOTIONBUILDER, but will generate duplicate Blend Shapes in MOTIONBUILDER. • USING MICROSOFT WORD 2007 FOR APA TASKS
  • Get started off right! Set up APA format before you begin typing. You can set formatting just for your current APA paper, or you can change the default so that the formatting stays set for future APA papers. (You can set the default back to MS Word's original settings at any time.) As you become more familiar with Word 2007 for APA, you will find shortcuts for some of the tasks described in this section. The directions below allow the option of changing your default settings so you won't have to keep reformatting each time you start an APA paper. The APA recommends a serif* 12-point typeface. The University standard is Times New Roman. Keep typeface the same throughout the paper, even for page numbers and headers. Do italicize the type in headings and certain words (refer to APA manual). Do not use boldface or underline in APA papers. To set font, 1. On the Ribbon Bar, click the Home tab. 2. In the Font section of the Home tab, click the arrow in the right corner. 3. When the Font setting window opens, select Times New Roman, Regular, 12. Note: Rather than scroll through the list of fonts, you can type the font name in the box. 4. To set the font for the current paper only, click OK. 5. To keep this font setting for all papers, change the default as follows: a. Click the Default button at bottom left of the Font menu. b. When the next window opens, click the Yes button.. *Serifs are the tiny lines

  • Design Guidelines for Class Library Developers
  • The .NET Framework's managed environment allows developers to improve their programming model to support a wide range of functionality. The goal of the .NET Framework design guidelines is to encourage consistency and predictability in public APIs while enabling Web and cross- language integration. It is strongly recommended that you follow these design guidelines when developing classes and components that extend the .NET Framework. Inconsistent design adversely affects developer productivity. Development tools and add-ins can turn some of these guidelines into de facto prescriptive rules, and reduce the value of nonconforming components. Nonconforming components will function, but not to their full potential. These guidelines are intended to help class library designers understand the trade-offs between different solutions. There might be situations where good library design requires that you violate these design guidelines. Such cases should be rare, and it is important that you provide a solid justification for your decision. The section provides naming and usage guidelines for types in the .NET Framework as well as guidelines for implementing common design patterns. Relationship to the Common Type System and the Common Language Specification The Common Type System is the model that defines the rules the common language runtime follows when declaring, using, and managing types. The common type system establishes a framework that enables cross-language integration, type safety, and high-performance code execution. It is the raw material from which you can build class libraries. The Common Language Specification (CLS) defines a set of programmatically verifiable rules that governs the interoperation of types authored in different

  • Microsoft .NET APLScript Introduction
  • APLScript is a Dyalog scripting language. Designed originally to support the specification of ASP.NET Web Pages and Web Services in APL, APLScript may also be used outside the Microsoft .NET environment. An APLScript is not workspace oriented (although you can call workspaces from it) but is simply a Unicode character file containing function bodies and expressions. APLScript files may be viewed and edited using any character-based editor such as Notepad or Microsoft Word. APLScript files are compiled by aplc.exe, the Dyalog APLScript compiler. Please see APLScript Compiler further down. In order to type Dyalog symbols into an APLScript file, a Dyalog Input Method Editor (IME) is included and automatically added to your working set of IMEs during installation. There are basically three types of APLScript files that may be identified by three different file extensions. • .aspx files specify .NET classes that represent ASP.NET Web Pages • .asmx files specify .NET classes that represent ASP.NET Web Services • .apl files may specify general .NET classes Note that .apl files may also be used simply to represent an APL application in a script format as opposed to a workspace format. Such applications do not necessarily require the Microsoft .NET Framework. Download pdf Microsoft .NET APLScript Introduction
