  • Volkswagen Polo SE Manual 3-Door Hatch PDF
  • Volkswagen says that the new bodyshell has best-in-class torsional rigidity, with significantly enhanced safety qualities. The new Polo scored four stars in Euro NCAP crash tests. Everything about the body spells high quality; from the excellent paint and trim finish, to the solid feel of the doors and rear hatch when closing, and to the small panel gaps that are achieved through laser welding processes. The body, which is made from high-strength galvanized steel, carries a 12 year anti-corrosion perforation warranty. However, the Polo isn’t quite as ‘concentrated’ as it used to be. The new body, with its stylish looks, is longer, wider and taller. This has brought some welcome improvements to interior space, both for occupants and their luggage. Polo buyers can choose between three model types. There’s a base (price leader) Polo 3door, and there are S and SE variants in three and five door versions. Automatic or manual transmission is available on all models. Prices start at $19,800 for the base three-door, the S 3-door costs $20,800 and the SE 3-door is $22,500. Prices for the five-door models are $21,800 (the S) and $23,500 (the SE). Automatic transmission costs an extra $2,000. The base model comes with dual front airbags, five lap-sash seat belts and five head restraints, electro-hydraulic power steering, engine immobiliser, heated and power adjustable exterior mirrors, steering column adjustable for tilt and reach, a single CD audio system and a 60/40 split fold rear seat. The S model adds air conditioning,, but you have to
  • Building Microsoft Windows Versions of R and R packages under Intel Linux
  • It is simple to build R and R packages for Microsoft Windows from an ix86 Linux machine. This is very useful to package developers who are familiar with Unix tools and feel that widespread dissemination of their work is important. The resulting R binaries and binary library packages require only a minimal amount of work to install under Microsoft Windows. While testing is always important for quality assurance and control, we have found that the procedure usually results in reliable packages. Instructions on cross-building come with the R source [1] in files such as INSTALL, readme.package, and Makefile under the directory src/gnuwin32/. However, it took us a substantial amount of time to get things worked out, and we thought it might be useful to share our experience by by presenting an explicit example. In this document, we intended to automate and illustrate steps for obtaining, installing, and using the cross-compilation tools. hoping that it might save people’s time. These steps have been put into a Makefile, which accompanies this document, for automating the process. The Makefile is available from the contributed documentation area on Comprehensive R Archive Network (CRAN). The current version has been tested with R-2.1.0. For the impatient and trusting, if a current version of Linux R is in the search path, then make CrossCompileBuild will run all Makefile targets described up to the section, Building R Packages and Bundles. This assumes: (1) you have the Makefile in a directory RCrossBuild (empty except for the makefile), and (2) that ./RCrossBuild is

This hack explores the ABC model of emotion pioneered by 226 | Chapter 7, Clarity #57 Learn Your Emotional ABCs HACK H A C K #57 Learn Your Emotional ABCs Hack #57 Mental and emotional clarity reinforce each other, so don't ignore your emotio in your quest to be a better thinker. Greater clarity is just a few steps away. The ABC model of emotion, widespread in contemporary psychotherapy, holds that it is not an activating (A) event, such as rejection by a friend or lover, that causes you emotional coequences (C) such as depression; rather, the linchpin is your invisible beliefs (B) about the event that come in between A and C. Fortunately, it's often easier to intentionally change beliefs than emotio. Since at least the time of the ancient Stoics, some have believed that our cir- cumstances don't control whether we're happy, but our thoughts about them do. Our reasoned thoughts and beliefs form a kind of buffer between reality and our private selves—in theory. In practice, our thoughts often don't buffer us from events we don't like so

  • Web 2.0: Building Online Communities Using Social Networking Technologies
  • Over the past three years, Internet web sites have been evolving into a series of platforms organizing content and communications among individuals and organizations for the purpose of social networking. Sites like MySpace, YouTube and Wikipedia have shifted online activities from “browsing” to collaborating, interacting and personalizing. MySpace boasts over 100 million accounts, YouTube serves an average of 100 million video streams per day and Wikipedia contains over 1.7 million articles in English edited by users from all over the world. As a result, web design and organizational thinking in this new era needs to be more focused on building event-driven experiences, rather than simply designing information silos ammended with numerous hyperlinks. But how do consumers and businesses keep up with these changes and more importantly how do they exploit the new technologies in ways that benefit customers, employees, and even their industry? This issue of Educational Update is designed for that very purpose. WEB 2.0 Technologies Web 2.0 is the collection of server-based solutions that have allowed the web to become a publishing platform. Instead of the traditional one-way form of web authoring, these solutions invite all Internet users to share, collaborate, and contribute in the process of website development. Users now have an increased ability to contribute text, bookmarks, photos, audio, videos and more to many different websites. This ease of access to web content alters the way users interact with the new world wide web. Users can now build an online social network where community members contribute content, share
