  • Ebay File Exchange Basic Template Instructions
  • This guide explains how to use the eBay File Exchange listing tool to post product listings to the eBay web site. This guide was designed to be used with one of the standard templates available on the File Exchange Select Template web page. What is File Exchange? This section provides a general overview of File Exchange, and then explains template structure and use. eBay File Exchange overview This section explains the requirements and qualification necessary to use the File Exchange templates, and then presents a general workflow. File Exchange requirements and qualifications File Exchange allows you to create listings offline using a standard flat-file format, and then easily bulk upload and manage a large number of listings and the resulting sales reports. The File Exchange tool helps you quickly and efficiently: • Create new listings • Confirm there are no errors in your listing files before posting them • Revise active listings • End active listings • Download sales reports • Issue refunds • Mark items as shipped • Leave feedback. File Exchange is the ideal tool if you: • Are already familiar with the eBay listing process • Have a lot of inventory items you want to list on eBay • Use software, such as Microsoft® Excel, Access or another program to manage your inventory and you want to use it to create a listing file for eBay • Are familiar with flat files and want to batch list several items in a single file. Using File Exchange involves meeting certain eBay account qualifications and computer system requirements. Qualifications To use File Exchange, you must: • Be registered on eBay for at least

  • Control Abstraction in Parallel Programming Languages
  • Control abstraction is the process by which programmers de ne new control constructs, specifying a statement ordering separately from an implementation of that ordering. We argue that control abstraction can and should play a central role in parallel programming. Control abstraction can be used to build new control constructs for the expression of parallelism. A control construct can have several implementations, representing the varying degrees of parallelism to be exploited on different architectures. Control abstraction also reduces the need for explicit synchronization, since it admits a precise specification of control ow. Using several examples, we illustrate these benefits of control abstraction. We also show that we can efficiently implement a parallel programming language based on control abstraction. We conclude that the enormous benefits and reasonable costs of control abstraction argue for its inclusion in explicitly parallel programming languages. Sequential programming languages use sequencing, repetition, and selection to define a total ordering of statement executions in a program. Parallel programming languages use additional control ow constructs, such as fork, cobegin, or parallel for loops, to introduce a partial order on statement executions, which admits a parallel implementation. Since parallelism is primarily an issue of control ow, the control constructs provided by the language can either help or hinder attempts to express and exploit parallelism. • Performance Modeling for Dynamic Algorithm Selection
  • Adaptive algorithms are an important technique to achieve portable high performance. They choose among solution methods and optimizations according to expected performance on a particular machine. Grid environments make the adaptation problem harder, because the optimal decision may change across runs and even during runtime. Therefore, the performance model used by an adaptive algorithm must be able to change decisions without high overhead. In this paper, we present work that is modifying previous research into rapid performance modeling to support adaptive grid applications through sampling and high granularity modeling. We also outline preliminary results that show the ability to predict differences in performance among algorithms in the same program. Grid environments [1] present novel performance challenges, adding variability to many characteristics of high performance code. Heterogeneous platforms and varying network performance mean that the best algorithm for an application may change between runs of an application, and even during execution. Adaptive algorithms, developed to support portable performance in libraries, present an excellent opportunity to deal with these challenges by switching algorithms based on runtime information. To choose the optimal algorithm, a performance prediction must be made based on this information and the performance characteristics of the candidate algorithms. Because it is important to keep the combined overhead of measurement, modeling, prediction, and adaptation low, current time-consuming modeling techniques are not suitable for grid environments. We propose using a combination of ongoing research into rapid performance modeling and new development of a general adaptive algorithm framework to support exploration of portable performance on

  • Workspaces AutoCAD workspaces are sets of menus, toolbars and dockable windows (such as the Properties palette, DesignCenter, and the Tool palettes window) that are grouped and organized so that you can work in a custom, task-oriented drawing environment. 3D Dashboard The dashboard consists of a set of control panels organized by function. For example, the top control panel contains commands that create and modify 3D solids; the second control panel contains commands and controls used to navigate 3D models. Preset 3D Viewports 1. Choose View, Viewports, New Viewports 2. Click the dropdown option for Setup and click 3D. 3. Choose Four: Right as the viewport option Named Views 1. Choose View, Named Views… 2. Click the plus (+) sign beside Preset Views. 3. Click NE Isometric, Set Current, Apply, and OK. Steering Wheel SteeringWheels are menus that track the cursor over the drawing window, and provide access to 2D and 3D navigation tools from a single interface. SteeringWheels, or “wheels,” are divided into wedges; each wedge contains a single navigation tool. You can start a navigation tool by clicking a wedge or by clicking and dragging the cursor over a wedge.. Download pdf 3D Tutorials AutoCAD 2009
  • Simple Apache + Tomcat howto
  • How to setup a Web Server in a Linux or MS-Windows environement with Tomcat, Apache and the WARP Connector (WebApp). Be careful that the new versions (Apache 2 and tomcat 4) needs some particular changes. I will try to integrate them, but for now, check the Chapter 5 at the end of this document ! Besides, consider using Tomcat stand-alone : if it is fast enough, don't loose your time until the connector configuration is more stable. Enventually consider RESIN ($500) [http://www.caucho.com/] or Orion ($1500) [http://www.orionserver.com/], whish are much cheaper than the well known BEA WebLogic or IBM WebServer. The 4.0.4 version of Tomcat is very new. I tested it on Windows but still not on Linux. Besides, which WARP Con- nector version to use is not clear. The main problem is to make Apache and TomCat work together. This is done through the WebApp connector, which installation is not trivial. This can be done with the APJ connector (mod_jk or mod_fk2) too (and Coyote ?). But we will not be treat this here. It is a more "traditional" solution. I didn't find a lot of information which compared the APJ and WARP con- nectors, but from the little I have read, the WARP one seemed the best. (At least, I saw this note on the Jakarta Web site : [Using the WARP connector is recommended on platforms on which it is available .]) Download pdf Simple Apache + Tomcat howto
