  • ZoneBench User Guide
  • The instructions and explanations in this guide assume that you understand how to operate your Macintosh computer. You should, for example, know how to choose, select, launch, and drag by using your mouse. In addition, you should also understand how the desktop, windows, dialog boxes, buttons and file/folders work within the Macintosh environment. For more information about these items, please refer to your Macintosh User?s Guide. SpeedTools ZoneBench is a benchmarking application designed to measure the read and write speeds over an entire local storage device. That device can be either logical (such as a disk volume which is actually a RAID array made up of two or more disk drives) or physical (such as your internal ATA disk drive). ZoneBench also has the capability to measure the speed of read-only volumes such as a mounted CD or DVD data disc. ZoneBench does not measure the speed of burning recordable CD/DVD discs, however. Measuring speeds across an entire device is important because most storage devices do not maintain consistent speeds across their entire storage area. For example, all modern hard disk drives get slower as data is accessed further and further toward the physical end of the drive. Conversely, CD and DVD ROM discs get faster as you access toward the physical end of disc. (This is because CD's and DVD's are read starting at the center of the disc moving progressively outwards. Warning: ZoneBench is designed to be non-destructive. However, because ZoneBench reads and writes directly to your storage device, there is
  • Linking Oracle Tables to Microsoft Access
  • The Forest Service has the capability to access data residing in Oracle and other databases with Office 2000. Microsoft Access is part of the Office 2000 suite and has a strong ability to “link” to tables in other databases including Oracle. The purpose of this paper is to explain how to configure a PC for the linkage and illustrate how to make the connection. The primary benefit of using Access to manipulate data is its rich interface to quickly design queries, reports, and forms for data entry. The connection is done through the use of a standard called Open Database Connectivity (ODBC). This is a specification for accessing relational database’s that has been in existence for many years. Two additional software packages must be installed on the PC in addition to Office 2000. The software required includes SQL*Net (an Oracle product) and an ODBC driver (supplied by many software vendors). These additional software packages are already installed on Round 12 corporate PC’s as part of the software image. To get the software for earlier round PC’s, you must have your System Administrator schedule your PC for a software distribution from Missoula OSE (contact your System Admin). ODBC drivers for Oracle are included with the Office 2000 installation as well as from the Oracle package distributed by Missoula OSE. Download pdf Linking Oracle Tables to Microsoft Access

  • Connecting SAP R/3 and Microsoft BizTalk Server
  • Business-to-Business (B2B) requires companies to communicate, despite using different information systems. Transactions between businesses require the sender and receiver to understand the message the same way. An XML-based purchase order in one company must be acceptable for another company. The main advantage of electronic communication is cost and time reduction. The greatest problem is that the companies use different information systems, which can‘t communicate with each other unless there is a kind of connection is established. We developed prototype solution for Slovenian company Iskratel d.o.o. They use SAP R/3 Enterprise Resource Planning system for internal operations. At the faculty two groups of undergraduate students were established to carry out this project. One group represented the buyer‘s perspective and the other supplier‘s perspective. In our prototype these two groups exchanged purchase order and purchase order confirmation in the electronic form. Two different software, SAP R/3 system and Microsoft BizTalk Server, were used in the prototype. We tested three different possibilities for the connection between these two systems: SAP DCOM Connector, BizTalk Adapter for SAP and SAP Business Connector. The interaction between systems can be established in two ways. Firstly, the SAP R/3 system is possible to be initiator. The new document is thus created in SAP R/3 system and immediately sent to the other system (in our case to BizTalk Server). Secondly, the client can be the initiator. Client checks in its partner‘s system (SAP R/3) if there is a document waiting. In our prototype, the second choice was used. Download pdf Connecting SAP

  • Create Ajax-style architectures with the IBM Web 2.0 Feature Pack
  • This article shows you how a Java™ 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) application was enhanced with an Ajax-style architecture by using the IBM® WebSphere® Application Server Feature Pack for Web 2.0. Learn how to combine Ajax-style architectures with an existing application without having to rewrite the entire Web application. You'll also discover some ideas on how to apply the Web 2.0 Feature Pack to your own J2EE applications for IBM WebSphere Application Server. The "Plants by WebSphere" application is among a number of samples that are provided with the IBM WebSphere Application Server Feature Pack for Web 2.0. The application exemplifies a typical J2EE application and how it can be enhanced with an Ajax-style architecture without rewriting the entire application. The sample application represents a fictitious online plant store where customers can order and purchase flowers, trees, vegetables, and accessories. Take a look at Figure 1, which shows the front page of the Web application Figure 2 illustrates the architecture of the application in its original form before attempting to add Ajax-style features. The architecture is intended to be fairly typical for a J2EE application running on WebSphere Application Server. At a high level, the application adheres to a Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern, which most Web applications follow on some level. A browser accesses the URL for the application, which returns a JSP-rendered HTML page. The browser issues additional requests to the Web application, and servlets are used to control the flow as users move through the purchase request. Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs)

  • 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Owner’s Manual Ebook
  • This 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Owner’s Manual information: There is an airbag readinesslight on the instrument panel, which shows “AIR BAG’ on it. The system checks the airbag’s electrical system for malfunctions. The light tells you if there is an electrical problem.See “Air Bag Readiness Light” in Index for more the information. When should an air bag inflate? The air bag is designed to inflate in moderate to severe frontal or near-frontal crashes. The airbag will inflate only if the impact speed is above the system’s designed “threshold level.” If your vehicle goes straight into a wall that doesn’t move or deform, the threshold level is about 9 to 15 mph ( 14 to 24 km/h). The threshold level can vary, however, with specific vehicle design, so that it can be somewhat above orbelow this range. If your vehicle strikes something that will move or deform, such as a parked car,the threshold level will be higher. The air bag is not designed to inflate in rollovers, side impacts, or rear impacts, because inflation would not help the occupant. Download 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Owner’s Manual Ebook
