  • The 2005 BMW M5 – a thriller PDF
  • BMW’s first production V-10 engine is a technological masterpiece, deriving much of its design and engineering brief from the BMW Formula 1 V-10, such as the individual throttle butterflies and the lightweight alloy construction. Displacing five liters– the same as the last-generation M5’s V-8–this high-revving engine delivers a breathtaking 500 horsepower at 7750 rpm and 409 pound-feet of torque at 100 rpm and is mated to a super-quick seven- speed sequential-manual transmission. The redline is an incredible 8250 rpm, because BMW chose to develop an engine with high revs–like a race car’s–rather than Download PDF of this The 2005 BMW M5 from www.saeindia.org

  • Master View 2 Port KVM Switch CS-12 Users Manual pdf
  • Console PC Cables 2 port KVM SWITCH Overview The Master View CS-12 KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse), Switch is a control unit that allows access to two computers from a single console (keyboard, mouse, and monitor). Before the development of the Master View, the only way to control multiple computer configurations from a single console was through a complex and costly network system. Now, with the Master View CS-12, you can easily access two computers in a cost effective manner. Setup is fast and easy; plugging cables into their appropriate ports is all that is entailed. There is no software to configure, so there is no need to get involved in complex software installation routines or be concerned with incompatibility problems. Since the Master View CS-12 intercepts keyboard input directly, it works on any hardware platform and with all operating systems. The Master View CS-12 provides two convenient methods to access the computers connected to the system: using the push button Selection switch located on the unit’s side panel; and entering Hot Key combinations from the keyboard. There is no better way to save time and money than with a Master View CS-12 installation. By allowing a single console to manage both of the attached PCs, the Master View CS-12 eliminates the expense of purchasing a separate keyboard, monitor, and mouse for each PC. Additionally, it saves all the extra space they would take up, and eliminates the inconvenience and wasted effort involved in constantly having to move from one PC to
  • MIDISport 1x1/2x2/2x4/4x4 User Guide
  • The MIDISPORT provides up to four independent MIDI input ports and up to four independent MIDI output ports, depending on which model you have. Each MIDI port supports 16 MIDI channels, therefore the MIDISPORT is capable of sending and receiving from 16 (1 port x 16 channels) to 64 (4 ports x 16) channels. MIDI is the acronym for Musical Instrument Digital Interface and is the protocol used when "MIDI" keyboards and devices that record and play back the "MIDI" information (computers and hardware "sequencers") communicate with each other. MIDI Interfaces such as the MIDISPORT are typically used to interface MIDI synthesizers with MIDI sequencing software. The USB port uses powerful technology that allows easy connection to a "host" computer. It supports multiple USB peripheral devices running simultaneously—all without having to configure jumpers, I/O addresses or DMA channels. On a PC—you must be running Windows XP, 2000, Me, or Windows 98 to properly install the MIDISPORT. Also, your motherboard must have native USB ports. It is possible for a motherboard to support USB and yet not have the physical port connectors installed. A simple USB back panel extender can be purchased at a computer supply store and can be installed easily to provide USB port connectors. It is recommended that during installation, you do not use a USB hub for connecting the MIDISPORT. Powered USB hubs can be used after the MIDISPORT is successfully installed. On an Apple Computer—your OS must support USB and your computer must have on-board USB ports. All current

  • Software Development at Microsoft Observed
  • The Human Interactions in Programming (HIP) team in Microsoft Research applies human- centered research techniques to builds tools that improve the software development process. The joke goes, “we build tools as if software were made by people … working together.” As a human-centered effort, we draw from various research fields including human-computer interaction, information visualization, computer-supported cooperative work, and social computing. The central tenet of these fields is that one needs to understand the user in order to design tools to support them. To this end we have initiated a series of investigations to understand software development at Microsoft. Our research builds on a rich history of research into professional software development practices [1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7]. This document describes the process we used, what we learned, and directions for future user research. METHODOLOGY We performed two surveys and several face-to-face interviews of developers at Microsoft during the summer of 2005. The first survey contained 205 questions asking how developers spend their time, what tools they use, and the severity of various problems they face. We deployed it to 1000 architects, software developers and software test developers randomly selected from the Microsoft address book by job title. We received 157 responses, though the data presented here includes only the 104 responses from the developers. Next we performed semi-structured interviews with six software development leads and five software developers drawn from our survey respondents. Each was done by two interviewers, who took copious notes. Each interview lasted about an hour. Most

  • Google Desktop Query API Developer Guide
  • The Query API described in the first part of this document was introduced with Google Desktop 3. We cover how to use it with both native plug-ins and script-based plug-ins, and assume that you are familiar with the general principles of how to write Desktop plug-ins. The latter part of this document describes methods for issuing Desktop search queries using HTTP and XML. This XML-based API is supported by both the Windows and Mac OS X versions of Google Desktop. Mac OS X support was added in Google Desktop Mac 1.0.3. You can only use the Query API if you have registered with it and thus obtained a Query API registration cookie. Note that this is in addition to the general registration of your plug-in with Google Desktop. There are two types of Query API registration cookies, read-only and read-write. Usually, you'll only need a read-only cookie. The read-write cookie is only needed when you remove an item from the Google Desktop index. We recommend that your plug-in encrypt the registration cookie when it saves it, and, of course, be able to decrypt it when you pass it to the various Query API methods and objects. You'll need a global identifier (GUID) for your plug-in to pass to the registration method. You can use a tool such as guidgen.exe to generate. Download pdf Google Desktop Query API Developer Guide
