Polo buyers can choose between three model types. There’s a base (price leader) Polo 3door, and there are S and SE variants in three and five door versions. Automatic or manual transmission is available on all models. Prices start at $19,800 for the base three-door, the S 3-door costs $20,800 and the SE 3-door is $22,500. Prices for the five-door models are $21,800 (the S) and $23,500 (the SE). Automatic transmission costs an extra $2,000. The base model comes with dual front airbags, five lap-sash seat belts and five head restraints, electro-hydraulic power steering, engine immobiliser, heated and power adjustable exterior mirrors, steering column adjustable for tilt and reach, a single CD audio system and a 60/40 split fold rear seat.

A commonly accepted top level ontology for user and context models is of great importance for the user modeling and context research community. This ontology should be represented in a modern semantic web language like OWL and thus be available for all user-adaptive systems at the same time via internet. The major advantage would be the simplification for exchanging user model and context data between different user-adaptive systems.
However, the current trends of web 2.0 and social computing tell us that the users like to create their own tag spaces, naming conventions and taxonomies. The masses of tagging, rating and even blogging define a kind of ”wisdom of the crowds”. Now the question arises how this new bottom-up approach can be combined with the more top-down approach of ontology engineering. While web applications have become larger and more complex, web application developers today have little visibility into the end-to-end behavior of their systems.
This paper presents AjaxScope, a dynamic instrumentation platform that enables cross-user monitoring and just-in-time control of web application behavior on end-user desktops. AjaxScope is a proxy that performs on-the-fly parsing and instrumentation of JavaScript code as it is sent to users’ browsers. AjaxScope provides facilities for distributed and adaptive instrumentation in order to reduce the client-side overhead, while giving fine-grained visibility into the code-level behavior of web applications. We present a variety of policies demonstrating the power of AjaxScope, ranging from simple error reporting and performance profiling to more complex memory leak detection and optimization analyses. We also apply our prototype to analyze the behavior of over 90 Web 2.0 applications and sites that use large amounts of JavaScript.
In the last several years, there has been a sea change in the way software is developed, deployed, and maintained. Much of this has been the result of a rise of software-as-a-service paradigm as opposed to traditional shrink-wrap software. These changes have lead to an inherently more dynamic and fluid approach to software distribution, where users benefit from bug fixes and security updates instantly and without hassle. As our paper shows, this fluidity also creates opportunities for software monitoring. Indeed, additional monitoring code can be seamlessly injectedWeb 2.0 – More than Social NetworkingWeb 2.0 was meant to revolutionise the way people interact both at home and at work. Yet to date the technology appears to be firmly ensconced in the consumer marketplace where individuals are now highly familiar with the ease of collaboration via Facebook and the value of wikis and blogs.
Just how receptive is the corporate market to this new way of working? For the last 10 years technology has done little more than replicate the working practices of the past 30 years, simply adding speed and convenience. But users now want and need to see this consumer Web 2.0 style technology deployed in the corporate workspace to improve productivity, collaboration and information sharing.
But are businesses buying in to the concept of the new office environment based upon less hierarchies, team oriented working and cross functional contribution? Are they attracted by opportunities for interacting online with customers and suppliers? Do they understand the potential cost savings associated with web based technology delivery that drives out the need for desktop based applications, hence reducing support and maintenance costs? Or is the continued media focus on Web 2.0’s role as a consumer facing tool undermining its corporate credibility? Web 2.0 – More than Social Networking is a research study that looks at current levels of Web 2.0 adoption and understanding across the UK. On behalf of Parity, Bournemouth University asked businesses whether or not they had invested in Web 2.0, and the business reasons behind the decision making.
