Generally, the health sector is one of the most knowledge-intensive sectors among all of the public service areas. Thus in this sector, the statement that “technology is the highest contributor of productivity growth” is more valid and more timely than in other publicly financed territories.
Innovation is an ability of research and the capability of applying new solutions. It is obvious that IT determines innovative capability, although innovation might stem from various fields. It has been proven a major policy simplification that more connectivity is equal to more knowledge uptake.
2. What do we mean by E-health? Since the aging European societies face enormous challenges in coping with the tension between the technologically possible and the economically affordable, IT offers significant changes in the way we might think about public healthcare services.
We define e-health as using IT technologies in order to increase the performance of public health systems without any respect on who the user is. Thus according to our definition, users might be doctors, patients, family members as well as civil servants or medical university students and teachers. The other impact of E-health is: organizational change. It is important to state that no technology can efficiently serve workflows managed by a non-cooperative staff.
3. Centralized E-health model

Now your thoughts are turning to access control. Just enough time to splice in that trusty user authentication and roles module, make a few tweaks and move on to the next project. Wait! Do you really want to contribute yet another authorization stovepipe to the growing forest? We all curse the proliferation of authentication and authorization “solutions” on the Web. Yet we continue to treat access control as an after thought.
Developers accept the benefits of adopting third-party solutions for common functions such as data storage, cryptography, numerical analysis, parsing, etc., yet continue to roll their own application access control solutions. Why? The disadvantages of RYO are obvious: application-specific user accounts and passwords proliferate, each application reinvents how roles should be implemented -- perhaps even a language for specifying access constraints -- and, if integration with an external authentication framework is required, each application must implement interfaces to the drivers. This is irritating to our users, a headache for those who administer the applications, and costly to maintain.
In this article we develop a set of Web 2.0 best practices for “outsourcing” the access control problem. Following these practices produces applications that readily integrate into an organization’s existing access control infrastructure, and simplifies application development and maintenance.

Using the shampoo samples given to you by your teacher, determine the pH of each of the samples. You can determine pH by using a method familiar to you, such as using pH strips or probes. Record the pH of your shampoo samples below:

Procedure:
1. Obtain 4 wooden splints; 4 test dishes; 20 strands of the same type of hair; and 4 strips of tape.
2. Clean the 4 dishes in pH neutral solution and rinse thoroughly with distilled water. (Be sure to clean all glassware after each use so that the samples are not contaminated.)
3. Label the test dishes pH 2.0, pH 6.0, pH 10.0, and pH 12.0. Add 10 mL of the appropriate pH solution to each of the dishes.
4. Tape 5 strands of hair to each splint with one end fastened, and the other end free to be immersed in the test solutions. Label the ends of each splint with pH 2.0, pH 6.0, pH 10.0, and pH 12.0.
5. Put each splint into the corresponding solution.
