When walking or running, the character should stay at a constant height from the FloorRef object. When jumping, the Character should increase it's distance from the FloorRef object to give the appearance of translation away from the floor. Characters should ALSO have a "stationary root" that only moves relative to the floor reference (e.g. for walking, jumping etc.) but that does not move constantly (i.e. in an idle animation the root should not move). This is very important if you wish to use your Characters with the Virtools Mulituser Pack, or the dead reckoning algorithm used for predicting distributed objects will not work correctly.
In short: Make sure the (stationary) root element does not move at all when the character is in its default ('wait' or 'idle') animation. For other animations make sure the root moves a minimum; in a walk animation along the Z axis for example, make sure that the root moves along the Z axis only - there should be no movement on the X or Y axes.
Note: Ensure the animations you create are 'real' in the sense that the Character actually performs them and does not 'pretend' to perform them - e.g. for a walk animation you should ensure that your character actually moves (translates) in your modeling application, and does not perform the animation in situ ("on the spot" or "in place").

1. Start by creating a NURBS or a polygon plane. NURBS is propably best, but I used polygons on this one. Make it a high resolution, like 80x80.
2. Go into Polygons>Mesh>Sculpt Geometry Tool. Or if using NURBS go into Surfaces>Edit NURBS>Sculpt Geometry.
3. Model a valley in the middle of your plane.
4. Select your plane and go to Animation>Deform>Create Nonlinear>Twist. Resize the deformer, so that it fits just like on the image to the right.
5. Start playing with the Start Angle under the derformer’s attributes. After finding a suitable value, then start sizing the plane. As we scale it through the y-axis, the deformed plane will now twist like a whirlpool.
6. Go to frame 1 and extend the duration of your timeline. I went with 400 frames. At frame 1 keyframe the scale of the y-axis. Size to the point, where you want the shape to begin. Then go to frame 400 and scale the y-axis out, so that the malstroem will be at its final state. Key- frame and watch the animation. Simple, but if done properly it looks cool.

Its use is based on the premise that two words with the same stem have very close semantic content. The several possible variations of the derivatives, inflected forms, gender and number changes, and other phenomena, make the grouping of all the variants under a common stem advisable. This work is based on the Spanish stemming algorithm published by the Snowball project (Snowball 1999). The algorithm starts extracting sections from a word and labeling them as RV and R2. RV is defined as the region of the word that starts after the third letter, or null if not exists. To define R2, R1 needs to be defined. R1 is the region after the first non-vowel following a vowel, or null if not exists. For example, in the word precios, the first non-vowel following a vowel would be the c.
