  • Analyzing IP Traffic Captured by Netsniff
  • NetSniff is a multi-network-layered real-time traffic capture and analysis tool developed as part of the ICE 3 project being run out of the Center for Advanced Internet Architectures (CAIA). NetSniff uses the PCAP library [11] to capture network traffic on a network interface or from a tcpdump [11] formatted file and parses the captured traffic at multiple network layers to produce a detailed set of statistics. Logfileparser is a complementary tool creating a database and filling it with the data captured by NetSniff. This database file can then be queried to obtain relevant statistics and generate graphical results using the R [7] software. This paper describes the procedures involved to install over a FreeBSD machine all software required to generate these results, as well as provide a brief tutorial in the usage of both lofileparser and R. The first section describes the installation and basic use of NetSniff. Section two outlines the installation of logfileparser and how to generate a database from the logfiles created by NetSniff, while Section 3 covers the installation and usage of R to generate graphical results. • Specifying, Discovering, and Monitoring Service Flows: Making Web Services Process-Aware
  • Web services, an emerging paradigm for architecting and implementing business collaborations within and across organizational boundaries, are currently of interest to both software vendors and scientists. In this paradigm, the functionality provided by business applications is encapsulated within web services: software components described at a semantic level, which can be invoked by application programs or by other services through a stack of Internet standards including HTTP, XML, SOAP, WSDL and UDDI [3,18]. Once deployed, web services provided by various organizations can be inter-connected in order to implement business collaborations, leading to composite web services. Today workflow management systems are readily available [6,49,59] and workflow technology is hidden in many applications, e.g., ERP, CRM, and PDM systems. However, their application is still limited to specific industries such as banking and insurance. Since 2000 there has been a growing interest in web services. This resulted in a stack of Internet standards (HTTP, XML, SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI) which needed to be complemented by a process layer. Several vendors proposed competing languages, e.g., IBM proposed WSFL (Web Services Flow Language) [48] building on FlowMark/MQSeries and Microsoft proposed XLANG (Web Services for Business Process Design) [71] building on Biztalk. BPEL [16] emerged as a compromise between both languages. The Business Process Execution Language for Web Services (BPEL4WS, or BPEL for short) has become the de-facto standard for implementing processes based on web services [16]. Systems such as Oracle BPEL Process Manager, IBM WebSphere Application Server Enterprise, IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer Integration Edition, and Microsoft BizTalk
  • Fiat Bravo Car Test Report PDF
  • Fiat’s confusing, like-sounding model names, the Brava is the five-door,family-sized hatch back, while Bravo is a 15cm shorter but more sportily slanted three-door variation on the same theme. This “horses-for-courses” approach makes sound sense: the Brava offers more space, five-door practicality and a rounded-off ride for those with a family to consider, while the Bravo’s distinctive-but-different styling and subtly revised suspension and specification cater for less-encumbered buyers seeking a more sporting attraction. Which ever tickles your fancy, though, Fiat has recently given the pair a mild makeover. Staying faithful to the original styling concept, the refettled Fiats are not much different to look at, but every version now offers significant improvements and costs less, or at least no more, than its previous equivalent. Equipment levels are improved across the board, with the former S version dropped, so that SX now takes on the entry-level mantle. There are two new engines under the bonnet, or rather they’re new to the Bravo/Brava pairing, while existing engines have been refettled to improve emissions and economy. Even the entry-level SX comes with an electric sunroof; there are front passenger and now side airbag options to go with the driver’s standard-fit one, while top models now boast an automatic climate control system as standard. Up front, only the five-door Brava receives Fiat’s new 1.9 JTD common-rail direct-injection turbo-diesel, though 75 and 100bhp versions of Fiat’s indirectly injected oil-burner live on in both body styles. However, our three-door test subject is powered by an 82bhp 1.2-litre 16-valve engine
  • Securing Microsoft Outlook Web Access with VeriSign Unified Authentication
  • Email is an integral part of the enterprise DNA, used for making business decisions minute by minute on a worldwide basis. Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Outlook is the most widely deployed email server application. As more and more enterprise employees work remotely, from home offices or from mobile locations, the need for reliable and secure email access is growing. To enable remote access, many companies have deployed Virtual Private Networks (VPN) which add an additional layer of complexity to network security, are often unstable, and require installation and maintenance of VPN clients on remote users' computers. Some enterprises have deployed SSL VPNs which do not require installing or maintaining clients, but still require an additional network layer. An alternative to VPN or SSL VPNs, that leverages an enterprises' existing Exchange environment is Microsoft® Outlook Web Access (OWA). With OWA, enterprises have the option to deploy a Web-based version of Outlook that can be accessed from any machine with a web browser. However, while OWA addresses the complexity of remote access, it still relies on single-factor authentication - username and password - for secure logon. Adding VeriSign Unified Authentication and the VeriSign One-Time Password (OTP) token to an OWA deployment provides a secure, second-factor of authentication to your remote email application, while easing complexity at the network level and providing ease of use for remote users. VeriSign® Unified Authentication reduces the complexity and cost of strong authentication by providing a single, highly scalable platform for managing all types of two-factor authentication credentials. The VeriSign
