In .NET applications can be written in a variety of programming languages and can be either stand-alone or web-based. A lab module for CS 453 Electronic Commerce Technologies was developed that instructs students on how to develop complex e-commerce websites using the programming language C# within the Microsoft .NET framework. This project and thesis provided insight into the power of C# and the .NET framework. Student evaluations were constructive and positive overall. There were many good suggestions for expansion of the C# lab module.
The Microsoft .NET software platform integrates various aspects of software development. The .NET framework is installed on all machines that contain applications designed in the Visual Studio .NET Integrated Development Environment (IDE). This IDE allows software developers to create fully deployable applications. These applications can be written in a variety of programming languages and can be either stand-alone or web-based. The programming language C# (pronounced see-sharp) is a central language in .NET that evolved from the languages Java and C++.
C# and the Microsoft .NET framework has advantages over older languages that make it worth learning. Because there is very little support for C# and the .NET framework in the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science, few UVA students graduate with basic knowledge of this technology. This problem must be rectified so UVA graduates can be effective in the IT industry.
To address this problem, in this project a lab module for CS 45310 Privacy Settings Every Facebook User Should KnowEveryday I receive an email from somebody about how their account was hacked, how a friend tagged them in the photo and they want a way to avoid it, as well as a number of other complications related to their privacy on Facebook. Over the weekend one individual contacted me to let me know that he would be removing me as a friend from Facebook because he was “going to make a shift with my Facebook use - going to just mostly family stuff.”
Perhaps he was tired of receiving my status updates or perhaps he didn’t want me to view photos from his personal life. Whatever the reason for ending our Facebook friendship, I figured that many people would benefit from a thorough overview on how to protect your privacy on Facebook. Below is a step by step process for protecting your privacy.
1. Use Your Friend Lists
I can’t tell you how many people are not aware of their friend lists. For those not aware of what friend lists are, Facebook describes them as a feature which allows “you to create private groupings of friends based on your personal preferences. For example, you can create a Friend List for your friends that meet for weekly book club meetings. You can create Friend Lists for all of your organizational needs, allowing you to quickly view friends by type and send messages to your lists.”
There are a few very important things to remember about friend lists:

Download 2003 Audi RS6 Equipment pdfShare, Collaborate, Exploit Defining Mobile Web 2.0The mercurial rise of social networking sites and user-generated content has rekindled users’ interest in accessing Web-based services on the move. That the mobile phone is an inherently personal device which is not only with us most of the time, but also contains a huge amount of personal data (contact lists of names and phone numbers, stored messages and emails etc.) makes it a logical extension for the social network and the host of other collaborative Web 2.0 applications gaining traction.
Perhaps the major factors driving the shift in how the Internet operates – whether fixed or mobile – are those of user interaction and enhancement. The Web is no longer simply an online resource of information to be consulted, searched and acted upon. It has become a network of social communities and information databases that are constantly growing and improving as they continue to harness the collective intelligence of users. It could therefore be argued that whereas Web 1.0 served essentially as a broadcast medium (i.e. of information/knowledge) ‘Web 2.0’ takes the form of a platform whereby the creator of content, has become the focus.
Defining Mobile Web 2.0
Difficulty in establishing a firm and accepted definition, plus the fact that many of Web 2.0’s core concepts cannot be replicated directly within the cellular environment, is paralleled in a similar debate on what exactly denotes Mobile Web 2.0. Whilst it is possible to identify common themes between an Internet- based and mobile Web-based application, the exact features or functionality that makes eitherFiat Bravo/a - How to change the in car light bulbs and access the aerial base screwFirst thing you got to do is take off the plastic covers on the ceiling light.
