The Da Vinci Code really stirred the waters for the whole world. Not only did the book quickly become a bestseller and the movie staring Tom Hanks got on the lips of all people, but also the gaming industry benefited from this. Such a plot was bound to create the setting for an entertaining adventure. The only difference between the game’s storyline and the book and movie is the absence of the Oscar winner actor Tom Hanks. Every game on the market is more or less about a super hero, but Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is the only one to put together more than 20 of Marvel’s best super heroes, including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Blade and Captain America. Their quest in this action-RPG is to destroy Dr. Doom and the newly reformed Masters of Evil. Battles in the air, underwater or on the ground make heroes form parties to get bonuses and send those villains to their graveyard. The second Bloodrayne came without any new surprises and that was the reason for its moderate market impact. Everyone knew what she was capable of, but she failed to deliver any new gameplay. Fortunately for us, as I was saying in the article from the first game, the game offered us an excuse to play a little more with a very tight costume on an improved engine. The game’s single-player mode is split into 2 different modes, “World Tour” and “Pro-Career”. “World Tour” is where the player progresses through 32 tiers of different disciplines; the player is coached by a man called “Rick” via the game’s cut-scenes (the cut-scenes can be viewed again via the “Extras” menu). “Pro-Career” mode is more detailed, with over 150 cups to win. There is also an online mode for various platforms in which you can race a number (the actual number of people you can race depends on the platform used) of other online players to win points. It is also possible to unlock series with the online mode of the game.

The setting embodied the four centuries from the First Crusade to the Fall of Constantinople (1087 – 1453). These were bloody times in the history of humanity with continuous warfare and strife in Europe. This RTS focuses on the nations in Europe, North Africa and Middle East.
