  • Volkswagen Polo SE Manual 3-Door Hatch PDF
  • Volkswagen says that the new bodyshell has best-in-class torsional rigidity, with significantly enhanced safety qualities. The new Polo scored four stars in Euro NCAP crash tests. Everything about the body spells high quality; from the excellent paint and trim finish, to the solid feel of the doors and rear hatch when closing, and to the small panel gaps that are achieved through laser welding processes. The body, which is made from high-strength galvanized steel, carries a 12 year anti-corrosion perforation warranty. However, the Polo isn’t quite as ‘concentrated’ as it used to be. The new body, with its stylish looks, is longer, wider and taller. This has brought some welcome improvements to interior space, both for occupants and their luggage. Polo buyers can choose between three model types. There’s a base (price leader) Polo 3door, and there are S and SE variants in three and five door versions. Automatic or manual transmission is available on all models. Prices start at $19,800 for the base three-door, the S 3-door costs $20,800 and the SE 3-door is $22,500. Prices for the five-door models are $21,800 (the S) and $23,500 (the SE). Automatic transmission costs an extra $2,000. The base model comes with dual front airbags, five lap-sash seat belts and five head restraints, electro-hydraulic power steering, engine immobiliser, heated and power adjustable exterior mirrors, steering column adjustable for tilt and reach, a single CD audio system and a 60/40 split fold rear seat. The S model adds air conditioning,, but you have to
  • Setting up the LitePro 580 Manual
  • This chapter describes how to position the LitePro for optimum viewing, how to connect computers and video equipment to the LitePro, and how to power up the projector. Getting started 1. Choose a location where you can dim the lighting. ” To use the LitePro in a well-lit room, use a special high gain screen, which you can obtain from your In Focus dealer. 2. Place the LitePro on a flat surface. 3. Orient the LitePro so that its lens is at a right angle to the projec-tion screen. ” If you want to use the LitePro s Rear Project feature, set it up behind a translucent screen. See Rear Proj on page 28. 4. Remove the lens cover. 5. Plug the power cord into the LitePro, then plug it into your elec-trical outlet. Always use the power cord that was shipped with your LitePro. The LitePro accepts power from 110-120 VAC and 220-240 VAC, 50 or 60 Hz, three-wire type grounded sources. When you disconnect the LitePro, always remove the power cord from the electrical outlet first, then from the LitePro. It is recommended that you connect a power strip between the LitePro and your electrical outlet to protect against a power surge. Positioning the projector The distance from the LitePro 580 to the screen determines the size of the projected image. Use of the LitePro s X1.4 zoom lens also affects screen size. The table below indicates the size of the screen image when using the maximum
  • How to create a dynamic maelstrom in Maya 8.X
  • A tutorial on how to make an animated giant whirlpool with foam and spray. Inspiration from Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End. 1. Start by creating a NURBS or a polygon plane. NURBS is propably best, but I used polygons on this one. Make it a high resolution, like 80x80. 2. Go into Polygons>Mesh>Sculpt Geometry Tool. Or if using NURBS go into Surfaces>Edit NURBS>Sculpt Geometry. 3. Model a valley in the middle of your plane. 4. Select your plane and go to Animation>Deform>Create Nonlinear>Twist. Resize the deformer, so that it fits just like on the image to the right. 5. Start playing with the Start Angle under the derformer’s attributes. After finding a suitable value, then start sizing the plane. As we scale it through the y-axis, the deformed plane will now twist like a whirlpool. 6. Go to frame 1 and extend the duration of your timeline. I went with 400 frames. At frame 1 keyframe the scale of the y-axis. Size to the point, where you want the shape to begin. Then go to frame 400 and scale the y-axis out, so that the malstroem will be at its final state. Key- frame and watch the animation. Simple, but if done properly it looks cool. • Making a quick water material in 3ds Max
  • In this tutorial I will show how to make a quick water material in 3d Max. Keep in mind there’s no special plugins used, just 3d Max materials, which will render much quicker. Open up the materials window. Pick a new material and change the diffuse color to a dark brown, so we can make some dirty water. Also change the “Specular” value to 90, and the “Glossiness” to 70. Go down to Maps - bump change the value to 30, hit none and choose noise material. Change the X and Y tiling value to 2, also choose fractal for “Noise Type”. Now lets do the reflections. Change the reflection value to 30, hit none and choose Reflect/Refract material. The default Size value of a 100 works well and quick during render time, but if you want to see more details just increase the value; I’m going to increase it to 200. Change the Blur Offset value to .01, this will slightly blur the reflections. Download pdf Making a quick water material in 3ds Max
  • Web Content Adaptation to Improve Server Overload Behavior

When the request rate on a web server increases beyond server capacity, the server becomes over- loaded and unrespoive. The TCP listen queue of the servers socket overows exhibiting a drop-tail behavior. As a result, clients experience service outages. Since clients typically issue multiple requests over the duration of a session with the server, and since requests are dropped indiscriminately, all clients connecting to the server at overload are likely to experi- ence connection failures, even though there may be enough capacity on the server to deliver all respoes properly for a subset of clients. In this paper, we propose to resolve the overload problem by adapting Download

  • Creating academic database-backed web sites with HTML, PHP and MySQL
  • In the early days of the World Wide Web, information was stored in simple files with only HTML markup. Today, the web server often processes scripts within web files that e.g. call other files, stylesheets, etc. Furthermore, the scripts may also acquire information from a relational database management system. Such a modern system gets data from database tables and includes them in the web page that is delivered to the user. To make database-backed system of web pages like Evolutionary Economics et al., we need a system of tools. Thus we leave the user's viewpoint that there is just a web server that is capable of sending web pages. Instead we have to think in terms of a system consisting of a web server system (like Apache) as an entity that from the web files can interpret a programming language (like PHP or Perl) and thus can access a database management system (like MySQL). Such a system may look rather complicated - like it is sketched in the following figure: Download pdf for Creating academic database-backed web sites with HTML, PHP and MySQL
  • Developing Secure Web Applications
  • Although traditional firewalls have effectively prevented network-level attacks, most future attacks will be at the application level, where current security mechanisms are woefully inadequate. Application-level security vulnerabilities are inherent in a Web application’s code, regardless of the technology in which the application is implemented or the security of the Web server and backend database on which it is built. A recent advisory published by Internet Security Systems (see the “Internet Resources” sidebar, p. 44) claims that 11 widely deployed shopping cart applications are vulnerable to a simple attack that lets hackers pur- chase goods for much less than their listed price. Worryingly, the attack does not require particular technical skill; it suffices to save the shopping cart’s HTML confirmation form to disk, use a text editor to modify the price of the goods (stored in a hidden form field), and load the HTML form back into the browser. Application-level security vulnerabilities are well known, and many articles discuss ways to avoid them. Fixing a single occurrence of a vulnerability is usually easy. However, the massive number of interactions between different components of a dynamic Web site makes application-level security challenging in general. Despite numerous efforts to tighten application-level security through code review and other software engineering practices, many professionally designed Web sites still suffer from serious application-level security holes. This evidence suggests a need for higher-level tools and techniques to address the problem. Traditionally, the task of preventing unauthorized activity at the application protocol level has been left to network firewalls. Many
  • Understanding CPU Upgrade pdf
  • What you need to know before upgrading your CPU? In theory, one way to increase the performance of a PC with little effort is to upgrade the CPU. Surely it can’t be that difficult? Actually there’s lots to think about. It seems that every time a new software product is released the system require- ments are increased - everything from the hard drive capacity and CPU speed to the required RAM. One of the apparently obvious ways to gain a speed increase is by upgrading the CPU. But such an upgrade isn’t always cost effective and in some cases simply increasing the available RAM can help considerably to boost the apparent speed of the PC. Sometimes though the best (and maybe only) option is to upgrade the CPU, although this can be a more involved process than it might at first seem due to socket/motherboard incompatibilities, differing CPU and RAM speed requirements, cooling problems and inevitably assorted knock-on effects causing the upgrade to be anything but cost effective. Also, it is worth remembering that just because the replacement CPU has, for example, double the clock rate of the old unit doesn’t necessarily mean that the new one will increase the processing performance of the PC in question by anything like 100%.
