  • Miniview IOGear G-CS12/14 2/4 KVM Port Switch Owners Manual Guide
  • IOGEAR’s KVM switches are first-rate connectivity accessories designed to help reduce the frustration of managing multiple computer systems. With the MiniView series by IOGEAR, you can access multiple computers from a single console (keyboard, mouse and monitor). The MiniView provides two convenient methods to access connected computers. Change ports easily via the push button selection switch located on the unit’s side panel, or by entering Hot Key combinations from the keyboard. Setup is fast and easy; plugging cables into their appropriate ports is all that is entailed. There is no software to configure, no installation routines and no incompatibility problems. Since the MiniView intercepts keyboard input directly, it works on any PS/2 compatible hardware platform and with all operating systems. There is no better way to save time and money than with a MiniView . By allowing a single console to manage the attached computers, the MiniView eliminates the expense of purchasing a separate keyboard, monitor and mouse for each PC. Additionally, these switches save all the extra space multiple consoles would take up, and eliminate the inconvenience and wasted effort involved in constantly having to move from one PC to the other. • BMW Battery includes: Battery Construction, Battery Types, How The Battery Works, Common Battery Terms, Battery Testing, Battery Maintainence, Battery Replacement, Special Battery Systems, Closed Circuit Current Draw, Testing Review Questions E31 (850i): The dual battery system on the 850i was introduced to handle the higher level of electronic technology with increased functions and safety features that were added to the vehicle, as well as the added diagnostic information. Design considerations were made to minimize electrical loads during Key Off and periods of driving with low engine speeds while certain timed operations (e.g. Glove compartment light, courtesy lights and seat heating) were active. Special testing and charging procedures exist for the dual battery system on the 850i, refer to SIB 61 10 90 and SIB 61 06 91 for specific information. E38 750iL: The dual battery system on the 750iL is necessary due to the addition of the E-CATs. If a single battery system was used, the E-CATs would be provided power from the single battery just after cold engine start-up when the battery is at its lowest capacity. This would increase engine loads due to charging of the single battery and cause an increase in injec- tor “On” time during the cold engine warm-up period, which result in unnecessary tail pipe emissions. Providing separate battery systems for the starting circuit and the vehicle circuits also minimizes the possibility of a discharged starter battery ensuring reliable engine starting. • Programmer's Guide to the Java 2D - API Enhanced Graphics and Imaging for Java
  • The Java 2D™ API enhances the graphics, text, and imaging capabilities of the Abstract Windowing Toolkit (AWT), enabling the development of richer user interfaces and new types of Java™ applications. Along with these richer graphics, font, and image APIs, the Java 2D API supports enhanced color definition and composition, hit detection on arbitrary geometric shapes and text, and a uniform rendering model for printers and display devices. The Java 2D API also enables the creation of advanced graphics libraries, such as CAD-CAM libraries and graphics or imaging special effects libraries, as well as the creation of image and graphic file read/write filters. When used in conjunction with the Java Media Framework and other Java Media APIs, the Java 2D APIs can be used to create and display animations and other multimedia presentations. The Java Animation and Java Media Framework APIs rely on the Java 2D API for rendering support. Enhanced Graphics, Text, and Imaging Early versions of the AWT provided a simple rendering package suitable for rendering common HTML pages, but not full-featured enough for complex graphics, text, or imaging. As a simplified rendering package, the early AWT embodied specific cases of more general rendering concepts. The Java 2D™ API provides a more flexible, full-featured rendering package by expanding the AWT to support more general graphics and rendering operations. For example, through the Graphics class you can draw rectangles, ovals, and polygons. Graphics2D enhances the concept of geometric rendering by providing a mechanism for rendering virtually any geometric shape. Similarly, with the Java 2D
  • Defeating Compiler-level Buffer Overflow Protection
  • BUFFER OVERFLOW ATTACK SARE THE most popular method intruders use to gain remote and privileged access to computer systems. Programs that fail to use appropriate bounds checking can allow an attacker to write data beyond the intended boundaries of a buffer and thus possibly corrupt control structures in the program. This enables an attacker to execute arbitrary code with the same privilege as the victim process. An attacker’s preference is usually to overwrite the saved instruction pointer that is pushed onto the stack before a function call or to overwrite a function pointer that will be used later in the program. It is also possible to use these attacks simply to overwrite other data. This kind of attack is harder to prevent but, fortunately, is less common than the previous type and is not discussed here. Buffer overflows first gained attention with the release of the famed Morris worm which exploited a buffer overflow in fingerd [1]. Despite the attack used in the Morris worm, buffer overflows did not become popular until the release of two papers that detailed the discovery and exploitation of these vulnerabilities [2,3]. This paper discusses vulnerabilities in two compiler-level protection mechanisms, StackGuard and Point-Guard. While this paper takes a critical look at both of these solutions, it does not intend to make them seem insignificant. The attacks described in this paper help to show how StackGuard and PointGuard should be complemented to construct a more complete protection system. • How to Create a bidding frenzy at your Ebay Auction
  • My theory is that once you have a customer viewing your action, shop or website, you need to hold on to them. In your Ebay auctions you need to have links to anywhere and everywhere to do with your items. Links to your shop, similar items you have for sale on Ebay, your About me page, and more. If it is an auction put a link to a similar item but make it Buy It Now. Some people are impatient and want it now. This sounds like a lot of links but be subtle. Here are a few simple tips to help you get more bids on your Auctions. 1. Firstly you must have something to sell that people want !!! You can never create a bidding frenzy if you are selling JUNK! ! 2. You must have the correct title for your item using keywords. For example what keywords would you use for a laptop? Keywords = Laptop, 2.0 ghz, Pentium, 40 gb, Brand (Acer, Compaq) etc. 3. Do not say anything negative. Saying negative statements in your auction instantly kill bidders confidence in you. Some examples are: “winner bidder to pay within 3 days or they will be reported as a non paying bidder”. “local pickup only” You should always offer to pickup and post if it is possible. 4. Always offer pickup. This way you not only build an Ebay business, but you also build a local area business built on word of mouth. I have done this and if you look
  • Getting Started With MX Breadcrumbs
  • In the Getting Started with MX Breadcrumbs tutorial, you will learn how to use MX Breadcrumbs for quickly inserting breadcrumbs in your site pages. Beginning with the files in your installation package, you will understand what MX Breadcrumbs is, how it works, and what you can do with it. Although much of the tutorial and sample site were done in PHP, the ColdFusion and ASP steps are nearly identical. The primary difference is in the database configuration and connection sections, where separate instructions are provided. MX Breadcrumbs is a Dreamweaver MX extension that allows developers to create dynamic breadcrumbs in their web sites. It will actually create a directory index displaying the database information in an hierarchical manner. This is a simple extension that includes a Command and an Advanced Breadcrumbs Recordset. MX Breadcrumbs supports PHP_ADODB, PHP_MySQL, ColdFusion and ASP_VBScript server models.
