The IBM ViaVoice SDK for Windows, Linux and Macintosh(R) provides programmers with the necessary tools to develop applications that incorporate speech. It includes a robust set of application programming interfaces (APIs) that allows an application to access speech resources. It contains several utilities that enable developers to define and manage what the user can say within an application. There are also several sample programs that can help programmers as they develop their applications for speech. Finally, there are distributable runtime elements that are included with an application that uses IBM ViaVoice.

Why are style guides so frequently created, but so rarely successful? All too often, businesses ask for a style guide as a means to create a common look and feel, in the belief that it will solve usability problems and establish consistency between applications – only to be disappointed in the results. Even if such a style guide is followed carefully, the resulting interfaces may not meet usability goals.. This paper explores strategies for creating a style guide that is more than a simplistic rules book. Business-to-Business (B2B) requires companies to communicate, despite using different information systems. Transactions between businesses require the sender and receiver to understand the message the same way. An XML-based purchase order in one company must be acceptable for another company. The main advantage of electronic communication is cost and time reduction. In the early days of the World Wide Web, information was stored in simple files with only HTML markup. Today, the web server often processes scripts within web files that e.g. call other files, stylesheets, etc. Furthermore, the scripts may also acquire information from a relational database management system. Such a modern system gets data from database tables and includes them in the web page that is delivered to the user.

To install PHP on an NT/2000/XP Server running IIS 4 or newer, follow these instructions. You have two options to set up PHP, using the CGI binary (php.exe in PHP 4, or php-cgi.exe in PHP 5) or with the ISAPI module. In either case, you need to start the Microsoft Management Console (may appear as ‘Internet Services Manager’, either in your Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack branch or the Control Panel=>Administrative Tools under Windows 2000/XP). Then right click on your Web server node (this will most probably appear as ‘Default Web Server’), and select ‘Properties’.

Heroes of Might and Magic is one of the most renowned and beloved series for every turn-based strategy gamer there is. The top of the peak was reached with the almost legendary Heroes of Might and Magic III. This was for many years the defining title for this genre. Although HOMM IV was not so enthusiastically greeted, it was the corner stone that allowed the series to take its decisive step to the 3D realms and opened a new path for this series. HOMM V came to follow the path of HOMM III and carry on its legacy while also trying to sweep off the traces of the painful criticism that its predecessor received.
