Can C# Replace Java in CS1 and CS2?Microsoft has developed a language called C# (—see sharp“) that it claims will allow programmers to —quickly and easily build solutions“ for its new.NET platform [3]. The language has much in common with Java, particularly in those features emphasized in CS1 and CS2 courses. It also includes some of the desirable features of C++ that are missing from Java as well as some new features not available in either language. This paper explores the pros and cons of teaching CS1 and CS2 using C# instead of Java and concludes with a discussion of the author‘s plans for teaching such a course in the fall of 2002.
Bill Gates has referred to the .NET technologies as —the breakthrough tools that will allow developers to write the next generation of applications“ [2]. He might be spouting marketing hype, but the release of .NET clearly constitutes a watershed for the company.
Many schools will choose to ignore what Microsoft does, but others will find the Microsoft connection appealing. Few departments would sacrifice the quality of instruction just to teach .practical. tools that are currently used in industry. But if C# turns out to be as useful as Java in teaching the CS curriculum, some schools will choose C# instead of Java because of the particular interests of their students, their school or their community.
There has been a shift away from C++ in computer science education in recent years. The reasons for this shift were documented in a report from an ad-hoc committee formed by theSAP Books: Time Sheet and Human Resources in Distributed Systems TutorialUse With this function, you can record time data using the Time Sheet when the SAP Cross- Application Time Sheet and SAP Human Resources operate in distributed systems. The Time Sheet provides information about working times performed in the following SAP components: · Controlling (CO): Activity Allocation · Human Resources (HR): Time Management · Materials Management (MM-SRV):
Service Entry · Plant Maintenance (PM): Confirmations · Project System (PS): Confiirmations · Customer Service (CS): Confirmations For more information, see Time Sheet [Ext.]. Integration As a result of its close relationship with the operative data in SAP Logistics, the Time Sheet should be implemented in each Logistics System.

Avoidance of errors/bugs, especially the hard-to-find ones.
Maintainability, by promoting some proven design principles.
Maintainability, by requiring or recommending a certain unity of style.
Performance, by dissuading wasteful practices.
Rules and recommendations are given that promote reliability and maintainability

Get pdf Coding Standard: C#Making FITS available on DotNet ApplicationsThe Flexible Image Transport System (FITS) is a powerful and widely adopted means of exchanging Astronomical Data. There are also a great number of tools and libraries available on many platforms to facilitate working with FITS. We present the FitsLib 1, A library written to facilitate development of astronomical data analysis tools on the Microsoft.Net Platform. This has been developed as a wrapper over one of the very popular and time tested FITS libraries, CFITSIO. Fits.Net library merges the advantages of speed and ruggedness of CFITSIO with the language independence of the Microsoft.Net technology and a simple Document Object Model (DOM). We believe this library will be intuitive for .NET programmers. We present the design and usage patterns of the library in C-Sharp. We also discuss performance issues of the library. Finally we present a number of applications and web services, which are currently running on this library.
We wished to use the CFITSIO package in developing image cutout services on the Microsoft’s .Net Platform in the C-Sharp language. This is a comprehensive library and we did not feel translation was viable, C-Sharp does allow use of managed C++. We set out to wrap a minimal set of routines in the managed C++ programming environment.
This minimal set, however, grew larger as more functionality was required in C-Sharp. It became apparent that developing code with so many pointers and unmanaged data objects in C-Sharp would prove to be prohibitive, both for development and for maintenance. This led to the design of anMedieval: Total War and Viking Invasion Games Cheats Hints & Trainer PC pdfMedieval was the second addition to the Total War series by Creative Assembly. It featured 12 playable factions and an extra 8 non-playable factions. The setting embodied the four centuries from the First Crusade to the Fall of Constantinople (1087 – 1453). These were bloody times in the history of humanity with continuous warfare and strife in Europe. This RTS focuses on the nations in Europe, North Africa and Middle East. It’s a world of chaos and every faction out there hopes (and does its best) to conquer as many provinces as possible.
The expansion, Viking Invasion, featured a new campaign map of the British Islands and the surrounding part of Europe and proposed the player to start his career about 300 years sooner (792 AD) and either try to unite the people of Britain or raid every settlement on the coast by playing the Viking faction. Although the existing campaign is also expanded with new units and three of the formerly non-playable factions become available, the only main difference (aside from the Viking campaign) was really the fixing of the “swipe” bug. This bug in the original Medieval enables the player to give his cavalry unlimited charging bonus. The only problem was that Medieval players were unable to join Viking Invasion multiplayer games and vice-versa. That’s why the only acceptable solution was for some of them, that is for those that were OK with the bug, to stick to the original PvP servers while the rest would include Vikings onVolvo Service Manual - Lubricants / FluidsThe only oil recommended, for Volvo manufactured transmissions is that whiari has quality GL-1. The teeth in the Volvo transmissions are so dimensioned that there is nojneed for any additives of sulphur or phosphor. The judgement being therefore that there is hardly any advantage in uajng these additives. For this reasDTiGL-4 and GL-5 oils are not recommended for Volvo manufactured transmissions. The seals in the Volvo transmissions are of a very high quality and normally withstand GL-5 oils. Also the steel/ molybdenum synchromesh does not appear to be par- ticularly sensitive to this oil.
Problems can however arise at very high temperatures, such as when driving in mountainous terrain or when the power take-off is being used. There is a risk that deposits from the oil form a coating which block the oil filter and oil channels so that the operation of the oil cooler is impaired. We therefore advise against the use of GL-4 and GL-5 oils in Volvo manufactured transmissions. The German transmission manufacturers recommend GL-4 oils. We approve therefore the use of GL-4 oils in Volvo vehicles with ZF manufactured transmissions. However even here we firmly advise against the use of GL-5 oils.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS, POWER STEERING Trucks fitted; with Volvo automatic transmissions require ATF quality Dexron II D to facilitate smooth gear changing. Very great demands are made on oil for automatic trans- mission and power steering installations. The oil must have a very low sensitivity to temperature, that is, temperature variations must have as little influence asDwarf's Guide to Debian GNU/LinuxThe major difference between the Debian distribution and other Linux distributions that are currently available is its open development model. This is not, however, the only difference between Debian and the other distributions.
The second, equally important difference, is Debian’s strict adherence to the “Free Software” ideal. It is quite impressive, when you think about it, that this distribution is composed of freely redistributable software, complete with source code. Now, most other distributions also supply source code and these same programs, but they will also put packages into their distributions that can not be redistributed under certain conditions, without any concern for the legal problems that they deliver to their customer. Users of the Debian distribution can be assured that what they find in that distribution will have no constraints on the free distribution and modification of that software, leaving them free to build “value added” systems from this Distribution without fear that they will find themselves in court for misuse of someone else’s intellectual property.
Debian provides areas within the archives for packages that do not meet these rigid standards, but are desired by the Debian community. Because of its free software status, the Debian packaging system can be used to package software that does not meet its own standards for free distribution.
Packages that are not freely distributable are found in the non-free section of the distribution. An additional category, called contrib is for those packages that would otherwise be free, except that they depend on some other package that isConnecting the iPod to a BravoThe first thing I bought a chinch (pic.1) to headphones (pic. 2) cable. Taken the glove box out and the Fiat radio. Fitted the connection cable and 1 two line cable for power (pic.3), had the hole in the dash when I bought the car (prob. a mobile phone holder) Connected the two line cable (pic.3) to the negative ( - ) cable of the car, and the other one to the positive ( + ) witch only has power when the car is running. So the power line has no constant power and the LED that shows charging of the iPod isn't visible when the car is not running.
Then I connected the Sony 5700 to the car and inserted the chinch's to the sony unit. (pic.4)
This is it for the Sony unit side.
Now comes the tricky part (so to say)
First I had to find out witch car iPod holder has the charge option and constant level volume output.
When connecting an iPod directly to the headphones jack (pic.2), the volume can be adjusted to a higher level from iPod and that can damage the amp. So I decided to buy PodGear CarDock Cradle & Charger (pic.5) (found it in MacWorld, bought it in Austria-closer to my country) - can find it on eBay for sure, regular coast in UK around 35£ inc. Vat.
