Test Drive 6 is the last twitch of a dying breed: the arcade races. Everyone wants super realism and car crashes that defy the common sense and on top of that, what little market was left for this genre it was completely taken by the NFS series. Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed (or 2000 in some regions) is the black sheep of the NFS franchise but not in a bad way. For many fans, this was the best game released due to the unusual amount of physics involved in what was supposed to be an arcade game. There were some critics expressed toward the Porsche exclusivity feature but they’ve calm down over the years. Almost seven years later, it’s still the reference point for any NFS games released since then.

The Peugeot Coupé has the confidence to know that it doesn’t have to set out to impress anyone. It oozes self confidence and style. In typical Gallic fashion it simply says “I’m here if you want me” if you don’t it shrugs its shoulders, knowing you will give it a second look. The 407 Coupé is the prince of the 407 range. The playboy prince with the good looks, charm and cheekiness. Well maybe that’s a bit extreme. In reality this car turns heads, makes the driver and passengers feel good. And it performs. Which makes the Coupé a bit of a conundrum in its own right. This is a car that is capable of well over 220kph (140mph+) and yet returns remarkable fuel efficiency.
