  • TCP Accelerator for BGAN User Guide for Windows Vista
  • The client version of TCP Accelerator is an application that can be installed on a BGAN user’s computer to significantly enhance performance when sending TCP traffic over BGAN. The client version of TCP Accelerator is available for download free of charge. This chapter gives a brief overview of TCP Accelerator, and how it operates on the BGAN terminal and connected devices. The TCP Accelerator suite The following components are required to accelerate TCP traffic in both directions. • TCP Accelerator Client: this is a client based software application and is installed on the user’s PC to enhance performance in the send/upload direction. • TCP Accelerator Network: a server based application for non-VPN users. This sits within the network and together with TCP Accelerator Client enhances performance in the receive/download direction. (To be released.) • TCP Accelerator VPN Enterprise: a server based application for VPN users. This sits within the Enterprise site and together with TCP Accelerator Client enhances performance in the receive/download direction. (To be released.) At the time of publication, only TCP Accelerator Client is available, and so only performance in the send direction can be improved by the software. However, the performance can be further enhanced by modifying the server configuration. Please see section 5.0 “Optimising performance of end host servers though adjustment of TCP parameters. • 2007 Ford Escape (204) Owners Guide Manual
  • This 2007 Ford Escape (204) Owners Guide Manual contains: Warning lights and gauges can alert you to a vehicle condition that may become serious enough to cause expensive repairs. A warning light may illuminate when a problem exists with one of your vehicle’s functions. Many lights will illuminate when you start your vehicle to make sure the bulb works. If any light remains on after starting the vehicle, refer to the respective system warning light for additional information. Service engine soon: The Service engine soon indicator light illuminates when the ignition is first turned to the ON position to check the bulb and to indicate whether the vehicle is ready for Inspection/Maintenance (I/M) testing. Normally, the Service engine soon light will stay on until the engine is cranked, then turn itself off if no malfunctions are present. However, if after 15 seconds the Service engine soon light blinks eight times, it means that the vehicle is not ready for I/M testing. See the Readiness for Inspection/Maintenance (I/M) testing in the Maintenance and Specifications chapter. Download 2007 Escape (204) Owners Guide Manual
  • Verifying Web Services Security Configurations
  • XML Web Services provide a flexible API for building distributed systems as a collection of endpoints that can send and receive SOAP messages. These systems are secured using message-based cryptographic mechanisms defined in a series of specifications developed by Microsoft, IBM, and others. Such home-grown security protocols often go wrong; they are prone to a well-known class of attacks, formalized by Dolev and Yao, where an attacker can intercept, modify, and replay messages. The vulnerability is only increased by the flexible message formats and complex trust configurations allowed by the standards. Our goal is to verify the security of families of protocol configurations, such as those deployed for Microsoft’s WSE and Indigo web services implementations. We propose a new specification language for writing machine-checkable descriptions of SOAP-based security protocol configurations and their properties. Our TulaFale language is based on the pi calculus (for writing collections of SOAP processors running in parallel), plus XML syntax (to express SOAP messaging), logical predicates (to construct and filter SOAP messages), and correspondence assertions (to specify authentication goals of protocols). Our implementation compiles TulaFale into the applied pi calculus, and then runs Blanchet’s resolution-based protocol verifier. The TulaFale implementation is available for download. We also describe a high-level link language for describing security configurations, and demonstrate a tool that can automatically generate and analyze executable security policy deployments for web services written using WSE. This is the first tool we know of that can automatically analyze cryptographic configurations to find real errors and demonstrable attacks. Download pdf Verifying
