One simplification is to model it as a small Local Area Network. Previ- ous work has shown that a gossip-based multicast can be an effective tool for modeling the flow of information on a local area network. We examine the ef- fect of different networks within this mathematical framework. We propose a general mathematical model that incorporates the susceptibility and infectivity of a given machine in a local area network. We also use the concept of pro- portionate mixing to model the spread of information among heterogeneous patches, where each patch coists of use and non-use of an information router. A very interesting idea to model the flow of information is to
Get PDFHack Proofing Your Wireless Network PDFWhen the concept of a network without wires was first suggested more than two decades ago, it sparked the imagination of scientists, product vendors, and users around the globe eager for the convenience and flexibility of a free roaming conection. Unfortunately, as the variety of wireless solutions began to emerge, anticipation turned to disappointment. The first wave of solutions proved inadequate for the networking, portability, and security needs of a changing IT environment. While this has largely continued to be the case throughout the 1990s with most cell-based and office local area network (LAN)-based wireless technology deployments, great strides have been made specifically over the last two years to address the fundamental concerns impeding the full acceptance of wireless net- working in the mainstream of corporate IT departments and the small office.
In this chapter, you will learn about the technology that is available today for wireless data networking and what tomorrow’s wireless technologies have to offer. We will cover office LAN wireless solutions including 802.11, its subgroups (802.11b, 802.11a, 802.11g) and HomeRF, cellular-based wireless data solutions including the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) and i-Mode and the network infrastructures supporting them (in particular 2G, 2.5G, and 3G), and finally, 802.15 Personal Area Network (PAN) solutions such as Bluetooth. In addition, we will review some of the new standards being developed to create wireless metropolitan area networks (WMANs) and other wireless data transmission solu- tions that are being proposed for commercial application.

Download Hack Proofing Your Wireless Network PDFUsing Web Analytics with Microsoft SilverlightSilverlight is Microsoft’s cross-browser, cross-platform browser plug-in that allows the creation of interactive web applications that employ high quality streaming media, vector graphics, images, and animation. Deployed as a plug-in for the major browsers on the Windows, Mac and Linux (supported by Novell) operating systems, web developers can craft interactive applications that have an identical user experience on the vast majority of web browsers deployed today. Silverlight addresses a disconnect that exists today in web development workflow where the design intent of graphics designers and interaction designers cannot be faithfully communicated to and crafted by the web developers. In Silverlight, this intent is created in design tools like Expression Design and Expression Blend and passed off to web developers in XML-based XAML data files. The fidelity of the designers’ ideas is kept as there is a clear separation between the design in XAML and the code in JavaScript.
Silverlight is a browser plug-in that renders XAML and exposes a JavaScript programming model in 1.0, extending this with a .NET programming model and runtime in Silverlight 2. Since the Silverlight 2 runtime has full access to the HTML Document Object Model (DOM) and cross-domain data access abilities, it is possible for future Silverlight applications to implement analytics entirely in managed code or in JavaScript code that is invoked from the managed code.
This architecture enables using AJAX-style programming patterns for building responsive, interactive, applications. An event model within the Silverlight control allows for web developers to easily add JavaScript-based event handling for mouse,The 1994-2000 F650Log.pdfI took what I felt was all of the good information from the maintenance section of the BMW F650 service manual and put it in what was intended to be …
This isn’t “John Muir Does the F650.” Anyone who doesn’t know what feeler gages are, much less how to use them or who doesn’t own an F650 service manual will find this document to be of little help. No one-page tutorial exists on how to maintain a motorcycle. This is a just maintenance log sheet. The intent was to make a fast and simple document to facilitate servicing your bike, making available the important numbers to preclude digging through manuals with dirty paws.
After reviewing the factory manual and maintenance procedures, I felt that something was missing. What was missing was the easy-reference checklist that used to come with BMW motorcycles. Furthermore, the factory manual makes no reference whatsoever to lubricating the steering head, swing-arm or wheel bearings. Previous models performed this during the “inspection” and just checked these items during the “service.” The factory manual makes it difficult to find necessary specifications, like the spark plug number for instance. The factory manual doesn’t tell you some things which it should like the

Download Open Suse 10.2 KDE Quick Start ManualHow to Identify Successful Actors of the Flickr Community and How to Determine Their AttributesUnder the term “Web 2.0” the Internet is currently going through a new growth phase where end users create content and communities are built for user interaction. One of these Web 2.0 services is Flickr, a photo-sharing platform that allows users to upload photos, tag, comment and add them to favourite lists and build a personal social network.
Using the relationships between users, pictures, tags and groups, analysis of Flickr’s social structure gives a hint about the way people interact on a digital platform. Our project is part of a larger research project that aims to predict the success of social structures inside communities. Therefore we introduce a new approach to measure the performance of social entities inside the community and work out managerial implications. Although Flickr has become one of the most active Web 2.0 platforms, little research has been done so far. Mislove et al. [Mi07] state that online social networks including Flickr are so different from real world ones that the same measurements cannot be used. Kumaret al. [KNT06] from Yahoo Research have investigated the evolution of Flickr and Yahoo!360 by using an empirical model to prove their classification of three user groups.
The process of pictures becoming popular through social network relationships is explored by Lerman & Jones [LJ06]. Advertising on social networking websites has also been a point of interest in Clemons, Barnett & Appadurai [CBA07] who suggest a change of marketing and advertisement efforts caused by new requirements.

This tutorial was made using Adobe Photoshop cs2. I am not a professional in post-processing and I do this for fun. Since I have learned most of the things I know about post-processing by reading on the internet, this tutorial is my way to give back.
The photograph I am using for this tutorial was taken by me and I am the model. Note that usually, the results of photoshop work like this look better on a female’s portrait. :)
Please, don’t complain because the composition and lighting are bad, some area are blowned out, soft skin looks better on females etc etc.. I KNOW !! :) It’s ALL about the skin being smoother and keeping the details of the eyes, mouth and hairs.
Enjoy, I really do hope you learn something new. Please forgive my bad writing skills in english.
Let’s start..

Whether you consider it bloated or difficult to work with, many enterprises have entrusted their mission-critical applications to the platform. There are many reasons for this - standards, vendor adoption, the number of frameworks, etc. Regardless of the reason, Nexaweb works seamlessly with the J2EE environment.
Nexaweb’s Platform can be completely integrated into any J2EE infrastructure. Out-of-the-box, the Nexaweb Platform snaps into any J2EE 2.3 Servlet Container by deploying a set of resources and API’s that developers can use to build next generation applications or migrate existing applications. The Nexaweb Platform has been tested and deployed on all of today’s most popular J2EE application servers including Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere, Weblogic, etc. Nexaweb’s seamless integration with J2EE is the result of Nexaweb’s commitment to standards. This technical brief covers each component of the Nexaweb Platform to provide a detailed explanation of how you and your development team can leverage your J2EE framework to build Enterprise Web 2.0 application with Nexaweb. .
Client-side Rendering
There are many architectural decisions that Nexaweb has made to make integration with a J2EE architecture possible, but none more important than Nexaweb’s client architecture. Nexaweb’s Universal Client Framework (UCF) is a set of three rendering engines implemented in two runtimes (Ajax and Java). All of Nexaweb’s clients work in the same way a Web browser works - they retrieve a file from the server and based on the Markup in the file, render the application by creating all
