The game’s single-player mode is split into 2 different modes, “World Tour” and “Pro-Career”. “World Tour” is where the player progresses through 32 tiers of different disciplines; the player is coached by a man called “Rick” via the game’s cut-scenes (the cut-scenes can be viewed again via the “Extras” menu). “Pro-Career” mode is more detailed, with over 150 cups to win. There is also an online mode for various platforms in which you can race a number (the actual number of people you can race depends on the platform used) of other online players to win points. It is also possible to unlock series with the online mode of the game.

The best Xbox has to offer Halo Combat Evolved is the PC version of the famous first person shooter that saw the light of day exclusively on the Xbox console. Through the entire life of Xbox, Halo and Halo 2 remained amongst the best games ever to be developed. This first game was so good that it managed to push the Xbox sells all by itself but on the PC platform, where all the players are much harsher critics and the competition is a lot closer, a place on the podium was harder to obtain. It came with a great science fiction story and a solid gameplay with very few bugs and the only problems were some memory leaks but they were later corrected through patches.

The horror themed first person action Pathologic introduces the player to a mysterious atmosphere. The town of Ancient Steppe seems a virtual reconstruction of a real provincial town. The concept of the eternal battle of man versus evil gets a new meaning here. The evil is no longer something you have to imagine – it’s a terrible everyday life enemy – disease. The point of the game is roughly to survive in this chaotic settlement for a full twelve days. The first outsider to arrive in the plagued town is the highly educated Bachelor assigned by the authorities to investigate these unexpected events. Next comes the Ripper – an ingenious surgeon. Finally, hope also comes in the shape of an eccentric girl that possesses healing abilities.
